“You did nothing wrong. It’s all my fault. Ok? “ broke my heart

This happened 6 years ago. I really hope these dads have found a better path in life. Their children deserve this change of life and I hope they are all in better places now.

I also want to add how strong these mothers are for putting their kids first despite what the fathers have done. That is real strength.

They might have done bad things, but they still love their children.

This not only helps the children, but it also helps the prisoners. They get to feel love. They get to feel human. You can't lock people up and expect them to retain their humanity. They need to have the chance to feel that. THAT is what will help them reintegrate into society when they get out.

The little girl sleeping with the picture with her dad next to her shattered my heart into a million pieces 😭this program should be all over the country, so heart warming to see.

I feel that prisoners who have kids not only need to love their kids and be happy with them but realize that having kids gives them a purpose to grow, change, and rehabilitate themselves into better people.

Man listen. Even though my dad has never been in prison, videos like this helps you appreciate what you have even more. I’m 25 years old and I am a blind man and I am living on my own now. When I first moved into my own place my dad helped me out a lot and spent a lot of time with me and has seen me develop into my own person in my own apartment. I appreciate my father for doing that. Thank you dad for everything.

I love how the woman running this is 100% for the kids. She doesn’t care if the prisoners did bad things, she just wants the kids to be happy.

it's so sweet how attentive most of them look during the seminar on fatherhood. such a sad thing for them to miss out on their kids for so long.

This made me cry a lot. I had my father growing up but he was emotionally unavailable and I would say abusive. Sometimes not having a dad all the time isn’t as bad as having one there. I felt like these dads showed more love and support than my dad ever did throughout my life.

I'm a person who has been benefited from one day with god. As a kid i never knew my dad like that. I only knew him by his voice and by his jpay messages. I never knew what it was like to have a daddy daughter dance. When i first heard that i was going to see my dad for the first time since i was 4 it had GREATLY affected my mental health i was in TEARS like my mom told me i was going to a program called " one day with god" I was full on SOBBING ( she has told me inside of a restaurant and everybody was staring i didnt care nor notice though). you never realize how much you love and miss your dad until you see him. When i first went to that program we had mentors and i remember them telling me when i see him come out of those doors i need to run so fast and jump into his arms and MAKE SURE he falls over and guess what i did and it felt so good to finally hug my dad. after that we ate cake, made a bunch a drawings, made a goal book, made this lamp thingie, and we had a dance, and at the end we released balloons and i got these gifts from my dad i had got a portrait of us, a blanket with the words " dear, (my name) i know how hard it can be to not have me there with you so whenever you miss me just hug this blanket and remember i always love you<3" :) it was so fun. you guys please spend time with your dad and let them know how much you're grateful to have them because you really take things for granted when you have it.

This made me tear up, especially when the dad was telling the boy that it wasn't his fault and it was all the dad's fault.
