I'm so glad they decided to go with hiccup loosing his leg, it honestly had a much bigger effect on people than I think they knew. When How To Train your Dragon first came out I was 13 and refused to go out in public unless I was wearing long pants because I am an amputee, and I was embarrassed about it because of the way kids (and older people too) acted around me (usually saying things like "What's wrong with you" or just gawping at me, whispering to their parents or friends, etc). I tried to hide my legs. I hated them. Then I saw HTTYD with my best friend and I had no idea about the ending. I cried not because it was sad, but it was the first time that I'd seen someone like me (someone with a disability) in a movie that wasn't depressed or complaining their life was over because they couldn't do anything, and their life was going to be terrible. It was the first time a movie (let alone a kids one) was like "yeah, this was sad that it happened, but it's not the end of the world. life goes on and you can still have a great life". after the movie came out, I had kids come up to me and say I was "like Hiccup". they knew what my disability was without even having to ask. They weren't afraid of me. the whispers changed from "mommy what's wrong with her?" to "Mommy look, she has cool legs like Hiccup!" It didn't last unfortunately, I still get questions and the ones who did say that I was like Hiccup were a small number to begin with, but it did teach SOME that people like us exsist, and we aren't something sad you should pity, but regular people

DragonFlame Gaming toothless is actually a seadragonus giganticus maximums but he is only a baby. The dragon furious is a fully grown one who was the pet of hiccups relative hiccup the 2nd. And the wodensfang is an old giganticus maximums. (When they get older they shrink back to baby size) and the wodensfang is the original dragon of hiccup the first
"I wouldn't kill him because he looked as frightened as I was. I looked at him, and I saw myself" I love this line from the First How To Train Your Dragon, anyone else?
4:33 sorry but I have read the book series almost 6 times over and a small fact in your number 16 is incorrect.. Hiccup never rode Toothless at all. He rode a separate dragon all together named Windwalker. Toothless is known as a hunting dragon throughout the books and is never considered to be ridden on .. 😅
@@linoinkyplantythingy except, he's an infant Seadragonus Maximus, which are the most powerful dragons to ever appear in the books(last I checked). At the time, yes, he's weak. But in the future, he'll be mountain sized, and capable of mass destruction.
@@Sassaparilla Is that revealed in one of the last six books? i only read the first six, so I only remember Toothless being one of these ordinary boring species. I guess I really have to read the rest of the books.
Fact #16 is false, Hiccup does not ride Toothless at all in the book. This is due to the fact Toothless doesn't really grow. Instead, Hiccup rides another dragon called Windwalker.
But at the end Hiccup says that in his entire lifetime, Toothless does not grow very much and that it will take a very long time for him to reach the size of most of the colossal dragons seen in the books.
MegaBlueKitten Well if you have the copy of the first book that has the second movie cover and 2 novellas it is revealed that Toothless was a baby in the books and that he grows larger
Damn guys. He's a Searenderous Giganticus Maximus (probably spelt it wrong), and when Hiccup dies he will only be the size of a saber-tooth driver dragon and it will take thousands of years for him to get to the size of Furious, then a few thousand MORE years he'll shrink again. So while he is the most deadly species to exist, Hiccup will probably never learn that.
Julie Unicorn - They have an official release date. It is March 1st 2019. Director/screenwriter Dean Deblois wanted a release date four years apart from HTTYD 2. But then Universal acquired the rights to DreamWorks in the middle of production. It was nearly scrapped from their upcoming releases. Universal actually shut down the film The Croods 2 while the creative team was working on it. Just pulled the rug out from under their feet and said "This movie is not no longer happening. Stop everything you are doing." Universal was not seeing any real critical or commercially viable prospects with How to train Your Dragon 3 due to it's predecessor's only "moderate" success. Dean Deblois, the producer Bonnie Arnold and book series author Cressida Cowell not only fought to keep HTTYD 3 on the road to release. They fought to keep their script in tact. The compromise they came to was it's current release date. After all this creative team went through. Let's just be appreciative this is being released at all.
This is fantastic; How to Train Your Dragon is one of those franchises that is truly near and dear to my heart. This is a great comprehensive break down.
Fun fact: Drago's Bewilderbeast lost its left tusk in the second movie, just like Drago lost his left arm, and in the first movie Hiccup loses his left leg, just like Toothless loses his left tail fin, not many people know this, but what's also cool is that its meant to show the connection between people and their dragons. _Also_ Drago loses his arm in the same way his Bewilderbeast did; by dragons.
Just saying, the Book series went toward a darker side from book 9 - 10. Basically, everyone is enslaved by Alvin, Hiccup has no one left on his side, and he has a giant Seadragon trying to hunt him down. Good times.
I think it's important to remember that this trilogy was adapted from books. To an extent, the creators stayed true to the books, and that was important to them. The ending in the third movie is in fact how the books ended. The dragons all left. It was a way to explain the legends and myths of dragons, but also the fact that they there clearly are no dragons today, and no evidence of them ever really existing. So, if anything, the books are at fault for this ending. In order to understand if the way the ending didn't fit super well was an issue of the movies doing a poor adaptation, or a tonal issue present in the books to begin with, one would have to read the books and watch the movies. I have never read the books myself, so I can't say.
Have to say...the TV series is awesome! It tells so much about the missing pieces between httyd1 and 2...for example how Gobber became a dentist or how dragon racing became a thing and so much more
DUDE! the book is great and wonderful to read. I recommend everyone should read it. If you're not a big fan of reading, then listen to the audiobook read by David tennant aka the 10th docotor who
Frank James Bailey- It's far better to wait and receive a high quality film then for a cruddy film to be put out on a whim. Trust me, DreamWorks is aware of what they are capable of. And even if they don't know personally how much your son loves their films. They know through word of mouth the fan base in general love what they've done. So in return, they want their last installment to be done at top notch level. For certain that's what you, your son and all of the rest of us fans deserve when we spend our time and money. So what we need to do is be patient. The wait will be worth it in the end. :)

Many Name so..does toothless fly alone? he didn't lose his tail in the books?
Many Name lol
Toothless is tiny, rude and useless in the books.
The Stoick viking funeral is my favorite scene from the 2nd movie, and a culmination of it as well.
this is my favorite film of all time, the 1st one is my favorite and my favorite character by FAR is Toothless
My GOD, Toothless is WAY to Adorable
My favorite part of these movies is the music. John Powel does such a great job and it is my go to music for while doing homework.
MegaBlueKitten
Well if you have the copy of the first book that has the second movie cover and 2 novellas it is revealed that Toothless was a baby in the books and that he grows larger
Not large enough to ride though
BlueWolf0907 so, what about the movies?
The influence of Harry Potter on the feel of the movie and Avatar on the imaginative, yet grounded world and animation really shows!
@12:25 - It is not a "flux capacitor" but one of the weapons vikings use to take down dragons
Pretty sure it’s the weapon he used to take down Toothless too...
no, It's a time traveler device I'm sure of it!
I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXITED FOR THE THIRD MOVIE!!!!
Princess Luna Gaming it's coming in May 2018 or in 2019 idk they keep changing the date it makes me sad
Stop everything you are doing."
Universal was not seeing any real critical or commercially viable prospects with How to train Your Dragon 3 due to it's predecessor's only "moderate" success.
FiireStorm I am sooooooooo exited to 😃
@@Silver54ful now it'd in 31st January I believe
@@bananahead7511 For The United States it's officially February 22nd now.
This is fantastic; How to Train Your Dragon is one of those franchises that is truly near and dear to my heart. This is a great comprehensive break down.

"strong, capable woman"
*Cough cough camacazi couch cough cough*
I red all the books, the carecters got congusing
yeah exactly camacazi is perfectly viable I was also sad at them leaving out her mother Big-boobied Bertha
Negative ZERO I think most parents wouldn’t be okay with someone named big-boobied Bertha.😂
@@javartaitt-hoyte4979I meant as a joke lol but she is in the books and the books are considered children's books
@@negativezero9528 I know, I tried reading them once but I couldn't find the complete series.
I’ve always felt that Astrid was based a bit off of Camicazi from the books.
Eclipse Of The NightWings she basically is, they both are also blonde lol
"Grab your night furies" Hiccup has the only Night Fury so far, sbut I have a plushie XD :3
TheRobloxGamer I don't have any 😞
Glurp Bot Me, too!
I have a red fury
Good times.
Facts. Seriously needs to be made into a different series
Loved those later books.
I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! I have seen each movie at least 10 times each!
6:36 awww look at that precious little smile.... He's so adorable... He's like a dog who hasn't seen his owner is ages.
I love dogs
Can we have 107 facts about Rise of the Guardians?

mannystella like owls of gahoole rise of the guardians
mannystella YES
YASSS
FINALLY, THANK YOU, IVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS VIDEO! THIS MOVIE NEEDS SO MUCH MORE LOVE!!
6:22 THAT FLIPPING SCENE IS ICONIC! IT WAS AN ACIDENT?!
Please no I can't, I just can't let my favourite series/movie end like that 😭😭😭😭😭😳😳😳😳
Have to say...the TV series is awesome! It tells so much about the missing pieces between httyd1 and 2...for example how Gobber became a dentist or how dragon racing became a thing and so much more
12:20
That isn't a flux capacitor, its the projectile shot by the machine that brought toothless down. Cmon man
I'VE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS!!!! THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!! :D
I once met cressida cowell in person, and also have a signed copy of one of the how to train your dragon books.
My life is a lie...
Now i cant decide between Disney's many movies or Dreamworks How to Train Your Dragon...
Dreamworks imo, they don’t care much for the money (to an extent, we all do lol), they care about the movie and the fans
Httyd
I love the Netflix series
Child Watcher me too
yaa
Child Watcher isn't it on Cartoon Network
The Green Prince it was and then it got moved to NETFLIX
It's more respected on Netflix than CN..
9:03 THIS, IS, BERK!
It's twelve days North of hopeless, and a few degrees South of freezing to death...

Dreamwork:- throw Gloria from Madagascar as Sacrifice for the RED DEATH!

7:08 now I want to see the toothless script
13:44 that's the most terrifying toothless I've ever seen.
My life changed forever when I realized that Toothless looks like and Axolotl
Thank you, Mr. Spielberg
"Oh yeah nah bro we can afford to lose Stoick; he just got his mum back so he won't be an orphan."

DUDE! the book is great and wonderful to read. I recommend everyone should read it. If you're not a big fan of reading, then listen to the audiobook read by David tennant aka the 10th docotor who
I actually forgot Stoik died, since it's been so long since I watched the movie. Loved this video from beginning to end!
'Ginger Hagrid'
There are so many jokes that could be made with that line.

How about 107 Facts on Symbionic Titan?
HTTYD3 doesn't come out till 2019-ish, unfortunately >:(
symbiotic titan was the best!! I miss it T-T
sucks they cancelled it D: just cause there wasn't enough toys... and it was getting so good ;~;
There has gotta be more night furies in No. 3.
finally I was forever for u to make a 107 facts about DreamWorks Dragons
My son Mason LOVES these movies. He likes the cartoons but he LOVES the moves better. Do we really have to wait until 2019 for no. 3? AAwwww
Silver54ful well said quality over quantity
Wizzardgummy Bear - Thank you for your support my fellow HTTYD fan. Much appreciated. :)
By the way. I am so sorry it took me so long to reply back. YT did not notify me.
Frank James Bailey There's probably gonna be a lot of tears in HTTYD 3.
But its worth it.
Rinske van der Heijden yeah there is definitely an other night fury.. preferably called a light fury or something like that.
"Netflix - the source of procrastination among students." Best description of Netflix (y)
I will surely cry when HTTYD 3 is released...
