I ordered mine like 15 minutes ago, I was so excited about this model, the return to The original point as opposed to the pro slim series. I also love that I can take those scales off and make my own with very little effort! Heck of a unboxing video my dude.
Thanks a lot. The blade with the original clip point design played a big role in purchasing this knife for me.
I got the 112 sport couple weeks back.
Holy cow, it's great.
Best EDC ever.
Glad you're enjoying it 👍
Really good looking with the micarta always loved the hollow grind buck does on 110. Definately a cool upgrade in steel and weight. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable
I'm really liking this knife so far
This has me rolling at the beginning, that was awesome, just can't go wrong with a buck 110, your buck collection is awesome,
Glad you enjoyed my little song 🤣
An awesome score!!!!!! Congrats Isaac!
Thank you!
I actually suggested these materials after the 2021 Legacy 110. On Knife Center, Blade HQ, and Buck's TH-cam. Maybe they seen it ,most likely not. Either way it happen. I'm absolutely in love with this knife. Buck finally brought the legend into the modern time.
They heard you!
Good video. I had the original 110 in the late 80's and loved it.
Now I'm more of a Benchmade, Spyderco, Microtech and CRK guy.
After watching your video, I'm putting the 110 Sport on my list.
Buck really nailed it with the modernized version. And for the price, it seems like a really good value.
Thank you.
Thanks for watching. They did a good job with the update.
Loved the song!!! Great looking knife! Just got my first Buck 110 finally!
Glad you liked the song and rust you got a 110. Saw on your short on it and looking forward to the full review!
That is so awesome, that's the 110 I would want, great great share...beauty of the 110 with new modern flare...🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks, Joe! A great knife so far
Dang near perfect. The difference in weight is what is most noticeable to me. The thumbstud will take some getting used to. I do like being able to open it one handed more easily and quickly. The take-apart feature is awesome. Hope we will see it in more of your adventures.
It will be in more adventures for certain. Appreciate you watching!
Love this one!
This a great modern take on a classic
Great review - nice knife. I have my old Buck sitting in my bin with knives. Never use it enough.
Take it out for a walk 👍🔪
Really cool review brother, I truly enjoyed this one, cool video 👍🇺🇸
Appreciate you!
Great video man! As always buck knives are great quality and great price
Thanks!
Impressive packing. Looks great, I tend to stick with the old fashioned stuff - wood, bone or elk handles. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching
Great review 👏 Beautiful Knife .
Thank you!
That’s definitely a great looking 110! I’m diggin it 👍
Me too!
Good looking knife and review , I like the green micarta , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Thank you! I'm liking it a lot so far
Back in 70 my cousin bought a 110 as of this yr he's still using it shoots 3or 4 deer a yr and farm work
These are great knives
Hey man, great review. I ordered one of these things a week or so ago. Got it yesterday. Found it to be very stiff out of the box. Like my wife could open it OK, but there's no way she could get it closed again. Oh well. Guess it will either break in naturally, or I might have to take it apart and and carefully touch it with some extremely fine grit emery cloth and polish the blade and unlock mechanism. Or maybe I'll just open and close it 50 times a day.
Overall impression: I now have a Buck 110 that will not wear out the front left pocket in my jeans! Man this sucker is f**kin' sharp! My trusty, but some what soft, SOG Aegis is now in my knife drawer, along with a bunch of other great knives, including a Colt (Loveless) pocket knife. I recommend this knife. It will take care of any business that doesn't require a Gerber Mk II.
Try putting a few drops of oil where the knife pivots and where you press the lock bar and open/close it like you said.
SOG Aegis is also a good knife 👍
Seems like a good knife. Like the materials but feel the need to get the regular 110 first into the collection. The possibly the Sport. Thanks for sharing it .
Yeah go for the classic then this so you can appreciate the differences
Buck hit a homer here. Great demo brother.
Thanks! I'm really liking this one!
Great knife but the only problem is indeed the sharpening and stropping with that thumb stud in the way.
Hope they make it in drop point as well.
I’ve got to get one
It comes with my recommendation
I took the pocket clip off.
Now, it's awesome.
Why didn't you like the clip?
That is badass looking
Yeah it's a cool one
Does anybody know what kind of pivot it runs on? Are the bearings ceramic or are they washers? Is it OK for water? Nobody talks about that
I don't think the basic construction is different than an old 110 which is a pin and bushing. No bearings or washers. It's fine for water as S30V steel is quite stain resistant.
The only real issue I can see on this is the thumb stud. They should have moved the stud back a little more as you would still have enough room to open it, while being past the bottom portion of the edge. Though I guess it could be removed with a decent amount effort and replaced to one of the screw on ones if need be (though that will likely depend on how sharpener friendly the studs are).
While the knife is open it looks like the stud could be moved back further, but it cannot be. If moved back further the knife would not be able to close because the stud would collide with the upward curve of the handle scale where it meets the bolster
So where’s the balance point? Still halfway down the handle? This would’ve been perfect with a different locking mechanism, imho, or with a mid-back-lock and a more fluid pivot. I’ll still probably snag one despite the issues.
I honestly didn't check the balance point but I would imagine what you said is correct. Even though much lighter than the brass it's still a handle heavy knife. Please check out my follow up video on this too

@@isaacs_knives_and_knowledge awesome. Thanks! I enjoyed this one.
Excellent blade. I appreciate you not taking past its abilities. Not sure MnM would but....lol. good show. its for out of pocket left carry, maybe
It's a real good knife
Heck yeah! Nice looking 110 man, YT knife creators are making me go broke:) HA!
I know the feeling
Woah, those are big. I mean I knew they were but dang. Like a full on hunting knife 🔪
Yep it's the same size as the regular Buck 110 one of the most popular hunting knives ever
It’s not the best buck 110 in my opinion just because I’m so partial to the wood and brass although I love the 110 design in general great looking/working knife and great video as well.👍
That's just fine. The wood and brass is excellent stuff 👍
@@isaacs_knives_and_knowledge I'm curious to see how the s30v from buck holds up I've never tried it
@@CountryThingsTV I have a couple other knives of theirs in that steel. Buck does all their steel well from what I can tell
@@isaacs_knives_and_knowledge I really like their 420 and 5160
@@CountryThingsTV oh me too. Love Buck. You can check out some of my other Buck knife videos here

How much blade play do they have?
None on mine. It's solid.
Zero. I own several versions of the Buck 110 and none of them have any blade play
S30V saves the planet from the 2nd coming...
Ok - personally I'm not a big fan of Epoxy Resin and old underwear - AKA Micarta. But that stuff with the black bolsters is kind of sexy!
The Giant oversized Flipper knobs and NO nail nick does bring it into the 21st century but dear lord! A Pocket Clip and a flimpy nambi pambi gutchi sunglass bag? Really? Oh dear lord! That aint going into the woods next season! Unless that silly clip is removed and Real black leather belt pouch is added!
Whats the price?
Well Xmas will be here soon enough...
Yeah I don't get the point of that bag. Nobody would carry their knife in that. I think they sell for around $140. If you take the clip off it would fit nice in the standard leather pouch.
Ask them to make this knife with a drop point blade
I'm sure they will
Buck and Cold Steel are very consistent with their edge grinds. I am also glad neither company has embraced the titanium trend. Functionally it is no better than aluminum and secondly, 52% of the world's titanium comes from CHINA. So please tell me about your titanium handled Made in USA knife? 🤔🤣
Good point
Guess who clicked to another review video …guess who clicked to another review video….
🤣🤣
@@isaacs_knives_and_knowledge did buy the knife though
Are u like 4 foot 1 inch? I mean the 110 is a bigger knife.....but no that big.....
Haha. Some people think anything over 3 inches is big.
First! LoL
Haha good work 👍
