  • Installing Harley mustache engine guard on a 2020 Lowrider S. Simple install, just had alignment issues. It was brought to my attention, try threading the left and right bolts first. Once the 2 outside bolts have been threaded, then screw in the middle bolt. Thanks for the tip Paul.

    Yeah man there is always something to make it harder than it needs to be. Now I know when I install this to make sure I don’t tighten the right side too much before I start the left bolt.
    Great video though man!!

    Middle bolt was a challenge, I'm having issues getting both side bolts threaded, holes seem to line up, but the bolts don't seem to be the correct size. hardware came just like your video showed.

    That looks like a huge pain in the ass. I watched another vid that said instructions say to do bottom bolts first then top. But it looks great! Adding one to my bike gonna do it myself also.

    • @InfamousCreep

      Yes, it took me a minute to install. Someone else also mentioned the lower bolts first, then the middle one last. I'll try it out on my next bike.

    Just bought my bike and I feel this is a must for me.Your video is great ! I don't believe I will have any trouble, I can use a drift pin to line up those bottom holes right? I haven't ridden in along time so I took the MSF Course my dealer provided me for my purchase and I am glad I did .My Instructor and his partner at HD of Dothan, AL. were Awesome,I was a horrible student but I have the confidence to ride my Bike now thanks to them.I want to protect my bike it's BEAUTIFUL! I love the way the Mustache Engine Guards look and I feel they will protect my bike.Any input you could give WILL be greatly appreciated,THANKS

      I have a 1k review on this engine guard. I actually dropped the bike, the engine guard saved my bike. At 5'7" I have trouble reaching the foot rests on the engine guard. Someone else suggested installing the bolts on the outside first then the middle bolt.

  • @ShootingSportz
    @ShootingSportz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey brother! Love your vids!
    I was thinking about picking up one of these bikes but I'm like 5'3" on a good day lol. Do you think I'll have trouble reaching everything? I see it has mid controls and the bike I'm currently on right now has a 32" seat height which is pretty high and I'm able to get the balls of my feet down with boots.
    I saw some female YTber who is 5'1" and she has a lowrider s, so I feel like I shouldn't have a problem.
    What are your thoughts?

    • @InfamousCreep
      @InfamousCreep  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Get the bike brother, you can also change the seat after some ride time. You can also alter the spring with a Muller lowering kit. I'd recommend footwear and seat before messing with suspension.

      You could buy some Baja LP4s or get some nilights from Amazon along with their brackets. I have a video on the channel how to install them. I don't think they're street legal in California though.

  • @medimaldonado389

    Will you do a long term review on this? Is it harder to share lanes with it being so wide? Also, do you scrape the bar before the pegs in hard corners?

    • @InfamousCreep
      @InfamousCreep  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I did a review on the engine guard. My bars are 32" wide, it's almost the same width. The only time it scrapes is when I dropped the bike. My exhaust scrapes all the time, haven't scraped the guard during a tight corner. I can barely reach the footrests on the engine guard at 5'7".

    • @chrissmith7669
      @chrissmith7669 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve never scraped mine either. It’s not much wider than my legs when seated. Lol. If the bar won’t fit through a hole neither will my fat butt. lol

  • @BearcatMike85

    How did you get the top bolt on? I can't thread the nut to the bolt. There's only like a half inch of space up there and my hands are too big

    • @InfamousCreep
      @InfamousCreep  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know, there's no room LOL. Patience my friend. Then your fingers get sweaty too, makes it more difficult. I used a wrench and masking tape on the wrench.

  • @MarvFitBikesKicks
    @MarvFitBikesKicks 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    they sit kind of low, do you have any issues with scraping?

    • @InfamousCreep
      @InfamousCreep  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      zero issues with scraping, only issue is reaching the footrests.

  • @murasakii1996
    @murasakii1996 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Having the same issue with the right side not lining up, what's the best way to get it to go without ending up cross threading?

    • @InfamousCreep
      @InfamousCreep  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Patience and a whole lot of patience. Eventually it'll line up, ask a friend to help with the alignment. Try try again.

    This is why you start both bolts before tightening them.

    • @InfamousCreep
      @InfamousCreep  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I started threading both bolts, none were tighten down. Not even the middle one, it'd be more difficult to install.

    • @MrPAULONEAL
      @MrPAULONEAL 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@InfamousCreep I saw on another channel that the bolts on the sides should be done before the one in the middle.

    • @InfamousCreep
      @InfamousCreep  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrPAULONEAL you know thats sounds like a good tip. I didn't try that, I threaded the middle bolt because I didn't want the bar hitting my front fender. If it's true, would of saved me half an hour of trouble. Guess I'll never know, I'll try it out the next time I install another one. Thanks for the tip

    If you read the instructions you would know it said to too loosely place the bottom boats in first then do the top mount then tighten them up.
    Edit after making this comment I realized others had already said this
