Harley Engine Guard Install - Low Rider (FXLR)

I'm installing a new engine guard on the 2019 Low Rider. I had a mustache engine guard on the bike previously, but wanted to swap it out for the standard version due to its better options for lowers.

My FLHCS Heritage had plastic plugs in the lower frame holes. I just drilled them out and ( just like you) put in the lower part of the engine guard on first. I did do an old car restorer trick with that upper bolt and put two layers of masking tape over the nut and pushed it into the wrench. I had no problems with getting that nut started and threaded down.

Nice move with the masking tape! It took me way too long to find that bolt since I thought it rolled away 😂

You should also consider trying out if your going for a more modern or clean look to your Low rider either Kruesi originals Crash bar they have their shop located in AZ or look into the Bung King highway peg Crash bar. I’m from PHX so cheers mate 🤙🏼
