    I love the setup of your bike. Just bought a LRS and this is the closest I've seen to my vision in my head. I'm late to the game, so this particular video was released 8 of 2020. My only concern is the stability of your camera. Immediately gave me motion sickness and I almost threw up. Not kidding. Thanks for the vid, extremely helpful. Beautiful LRS

    Great set up man. One of the better ones I've seen. I know color matching that fairing was probably a headache.

    So Rosy, love the content and your FXLRS - I’m taking mine in for the 1K service soon and I want to do the 6” pullbacks, I also have lower back issues on longer rides, I’m 6 foot tall so the hip flexors and the low back need a taller position. When you ride it now, did that make a big difference?

      Between adding the forward controls, the 6 1/2 inch risers and the step up seat it was great

    I'm split between two very different bikes. I love the looks of them both but haven't got the chance to ride the Low Rider S. The options are BMW R1250GS and the Low Rider S. I mostly ride through the city with occasional long trips of ~230 miles or so, planning on doing more, but mostly riding all day on those long days. My current bike is an BMW F650 GS (2003) and I can say it's really doing the job, but I want something bigger. Do you have any experience that would help me decide between the two? I will keep looking until next year but asking someone with a low rider S greatly helps.

    • @rosyrosenblum9823
      @rosyrosenblum9823  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think you can go wrong with either bike, it’s a personal choice. On a long trip I would think the BMW would kick the Lowrider to the curb unless you basically do what I ended up doing to make it super comfortable

    Just stumbled across your channel. Been on my Low Rider S for about a month now. I'm thinking I need to raise my bars with some pullback. My hands go terribly numb after about 20 minutes of a long ride. May need to change the grips too. Im 5'9" how tall are you by the way? Curious about the comment about your legs and how the risers made you feel. Anyway. Keep up the good work.

    • @rosyrosenblum9823
      @rosyrosenblum9823  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am 5 foot 10. Oddly enough I don’t have a problem with any numbness at all, I’ve definitely had it on other bikes. I have noticed that I have gone over 3000 miles now and it seems to run smoother down low, but around 80 miles an hour I get a vibration in my whole body

    • @drewlansing8520
      @drewlansing8520 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would try a different oil than syn 3 if that’s what you’re using. Changing to bel ray convention took some of the vibration out of my motor. Also getting some weight on your bars will help. My phone makes a noticeable difference in vibes but a set of weighted bar ends or bar inserts would help more. I’m going to add the Kraus moto isolated risers to my low s. I’ve heard they help with vibes aswell because of where they change the isolator on the risers. Check them out!

    So i just picked up the same 6.5" pull back risers and i just wanna make sure that i do not need to extend my wires ?

    • @rosyrosenblum9823
      @rosyrosenblum9823  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s really tight, but it did go. My problem is they seem to be a little bit off in direction as compared to the front wheel. I’m going to disassemble them and do it again to make sure I didn’t screw something up

    • @rosyrosenblum9823
      @rosyrosenblum9823  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is correct, it’s very tight. I’m only telling you about my experience, I think if they needed to go up another millimeter the wires might’ve broken

  • @FattyMcJason
    @FattyMcJason 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    How’d those risers work out? I need to raise my bars for the same reason, my back, same bike. Was thinking 8-10” eventually but if 6.5 fit with no cables, that changes things!

    • @rosyrosenblum9823
      @rosyrosenblum9823  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, it was definitely a different feeling. It felt more fun and more open. The problem is it almost feels like it compresses your legs more because you’re sitting more upright. I have a crash bar coming this week to put my feet on to see if that really changes it

    • @rosyrosenblum9823
      @rosyrosenblum9823  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh one other thing, you definitely feel taller with the risers. It’s going to take some getting used to

    Okay so I bought the risers. I have the same year bike and everything spec wise. But the risers don’t seem to go with the stock clamp and the stock bolts ended up bending for me. Do I need different bolts? You was mentioning something about a hardware store and then got sidetracked. I was hoping you was going to say some good news about needing different bolts. Maybe longer or shorter? Please get back to me on this, it would be highly highly appreciated brother!

    • @cjlloyd1194
      @cjlloyd1194 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also when I tightened the bolts. The clamp didn’t even get close to flush with the riser and then my bolts bent a bit so I need new ones regardless. And there was so much space that the handlebars were just dangling there, not tight one bit.

    • @cjlloyd1194
      @cjlloyd1194 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well it seems like you was trying to say go to the hardware store and get your bolts so I did so and that worked. Now my risers are just crooked for some reason. Not lined up with the tire.

    • @rosyrosenblum9823
      @rosyrosenblum9823  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I picked up bolts from Ace Hardware that worked perfectly. I believe they had longer threads and that worked. I think the stock ones at threads that don’t dig in deep enough.When I put them on they were completely flush, I had to loosen and re-tighten them multiple times to get them there. Keep up the good work you’ll get there

    @cobblegilll 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    What kind of saddlebags are those

  • @drewlansing8520
    @drewlansing8520 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    A street glide is less than 200lbs heavier than a stock low rider s. With everything you’ve added to the bike a street glide is about 120lbs more than your bike.

    • @rosyrosenblum9823
      @rosyrosenblum9823  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi drew, It’s actually somewhere around 200 but that’s kind of irrelevant. After about a year I decided you were right well, not you but you know what I mean. I actually went back to an ultra classic

    • @drewlansing8520
      @drewlansing8520 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Per Harley a Low S is 679 wet and a street glide is 829 wet making it 150lbs between the two. I’m not trying to be a jerk but you have over 2k followers. So stating 300 or 400lbs might pull someone out of the market of a street glide when it was possibly a better choice for them. If you were referring to an ultra instead of a street glide you’re looking at a difference of 240lb but the height and location of the weight makes an ultra seem even heavier. Why did you sell your low s? I have one and love it.

    • @rosyrosenblum9823
      @rosyrosenblum9823  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, the wet weight difference between a Electra glide ultra classic and a low rider S Is 238 pounds. I added about a total of 10 pounds net weight after replacing the exhaust and losing 12 pounds. I do get your point, And the irony is that I went back to an ultra classic after year of the low rider S

  • @benjaminberg3031
    @benjaminberg3031 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Don’t do this! If you’re installing taller risers/handlebars use wire extensions or you will pull the pins out.

    • @rosyrosenblum9823
      @rosyrosenblum9823  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 6.5 inch riser extensions barely made it. I don’t think they could have gone even a 1/4 taller without taking it completely apart. That being said, I did make it work without any wire extensions. I was very careful to not screw up the wiring

    • @benjaminberg3031
      @benjaminberg3031 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rosyrosenblum9823 I see that you didn’t have the FXLRS long after this video, so you didn’t really have a long-term review of it. Trust me though it’s better to spend a few hours cutting/splicing wires and making sure no wires/cables are being pulled to tight, rather then waiting on the side of the road for a tow.

      I put a tour pack on mine. It works great for grocery runs, 500 mile a day trips and keeping myself and my passenger from becoming fatigued. I can also remove it in 5 seconds and I’m the only person I’ve seen with a low s with a tour pack in my town.
