- Today I’m installing a black moustache engine guard on my 2021 Harley Davidson Sport Glide.

Good job 👍🏻, so many other people do it wrong, they start with the top bolt and the proper way is the way you did it, start with the two lower side bolts, nice job and gorgeous bike 👍🏻
Crash bar and Gustafson windshield & lowers were some of the best mods to my Sport Glide. I say that looking back after 2 plus years and 21k plus miles.

I was debating on a crash bar and liked the moustache one and this video really let me see how it would look and how far it would stand out off the bike. Thank you for the video. I certainly prefer the moustache from Harley even though its more pricey than others I think it looks the best.

I put a moustache guard on everything. I think they just look better than anything else and sometimes my foot slips and I drop my bike. lol

Hey BOW I just installed mine today. I had to drill the plugs out. What a pain. Also took the oil cooler cover off. Would recommend a screw gun for the lower hex bolts. 🤙
The Sport Glide will be my next bike. It is so nice and is such a big seller here in France that I can't understand why it is no more sold in North America...

What is the overall width of the moustache crash bar? I need to be able to get the bike through a narrowing gate and want to make sure it fits through
Thanks for the video! I’ve had to order my sport glide (will be my 2nd) and this time I have added a fair few upgrades, including the moustache bar. The integrated highway rests - are they too far forward to use?
I can reach the highway rests on the bar, but it’s not the most comfortable thing for me so I don’t use them
Don’t forget the locktite!
Did you have any problems with the bottom 2 bolts? Mine will only go about halfway in and then stop.

Hi there, which Locktite do you use. I used locktite on my bolt to hold seat on as it kept coming lose but I must have used the wrong one as I shear snapped the bolt in 2 trying to undo it 😪
I always use spring washers.
Well idk what I'm missing but your link for this product takes me to one made and sold by Harley. Harley said it wont fit on my bike. I think they would know wouldn't they? you know what's even worse, Harley says it wont fit on the 2021 sport glide..... but yet a blonde on wheels just installed one
Oh how bizarre! I bought it from my local Harley dealership and they had them right there in stock! Out of interest, you could contact Barnes Harley Davidson in Victoria, BC, and ask what they sold me. Talk to Jason from sales, he knows who I am and what I got
subbed! just ordered a sport glide and it should be here in 5 weeks! can you reach the engine guard with your feet if you wanted to stretch out? can you show a pic of u on the bike relative to this? i am only 5’4” tall.

I'm 5'6" and my feet can reach the rubber on the guard, but that's a totally extended leg with no bend in the knees. Not a position I would consider riding with.
I'm 5'3" with a 28" inseam, and I can barely reach the rubber rests with my toes, using a reach seat on my Sport Glide.
@@robnrbrtsn i am able to reach it. the balls of my feet can rest on it and it helps. i too use the reach seat
Just ordered mine for Fat Boy .was wondering about resting my feet on .I am 5.8" should be fine .I like the shape of the bars above all others .Deutschland Uber Alles.
