Re Drs/specialist. . My oldest son was 3 months old when we found that he was blind and disabled. He bottom shuffled for 2 years. The Drs said he would be a veg. But we had 2 girls in the next 2 years who were so positive in guiding him to be 'normal'. He is 49 now, has retired from a job he had for 25 years and now he does cooking 2 days a week, goes to the gym, and can manuover the very busy neibourhood roads etc. So we always hope for the best and good health. We are strong mothers/fathers who deal with life in the best way we can. Blessings
My son is mentally disabled. Mildly autistic and he learns concretely.
The school was awesome at working with him in what he needs. He did great.
He graduated high school at 22 with a C average but he did it. His 32 now. His like a younger teenager. His very sweet and kind. His a blessing.

My dream knitting would probably be a sweater with a colourwork yoke - I've made one for my granddaughter but not for myself. Absolutely adore everything about Nana the duck. 🦆

Thank you for sharing, love your podcasts! Love the lavender colors. I dream of a full-on colorwork sweater, like those by Marie Wallin. Love her patterns, but didn't dare to start one yet. Other dreams (that actually might come true one day): finish a quilt, sew a good pair of jeans and sew a leather bag etc.

I am shocked to hear your daughter didn't get a place in the afternoon school. Here in Norway there is no such thing as a full afterschool, and, even better, it is free of charge for first and second graders. For kids with special needs they have designated staff of teachers and assistants. Love all your knitting, as I always do. Your duck and sheep are so cute 🦆🐑☺

My dream knitting is still a mystery to me, but I have yarns ready for it. They are a gift from my American friend and the yarn is madetinetosh Tosh Merino light. And the it's a dream sweater project. So if any of other viewers has hints of beautiful sweater of fingering weight yarn, please give me ideas 🙋♀️
Dream. Well here it is, a Back Door Sweater”. A sweater that will pass the seasons hanging on a hook by the back door ready for an outdoor task year after year getting cozier as the time passes. I’ll need a “work horse” yarn. Oh it will need a pocket for Kleenex and a well worn pair of mitts. It will require an oversized pattern. And it will never be required to be peeled. Favorite pattern is all ready in a Raverly library

I know it is one-sided, but your podcast does feel like an opportunity to sit and knit with a friend. My dream knitting is to finish at least one of the 3 shawls that I have languishing. One has been sitting for 10 years and it is time for it to be completed. Take care of yourself!

Hi Jana. I enjoyed this video. Your kids went to school, and I enjoyed hearing that your son is now in the third grade and your daughter is in 1st grade. I hope they do well in school. My 16 year old grandson is going to the 11th grade and my 12 year old granddaughter is going to 7th grade and my 18 year old granddaughter is going to a nice University an hour and a half drive from my daughter’s house. She is driving to the school with her car, and that way she can drive home to be with my daughter and the family once in awhile. I finished knitting the garter blanket in stripes of lavender color and white with 187 stitches and the length is 70”. I made it pretty fast in three weeks and I used 11 skeins in Rios yarn, and the knitting went pretty smoothly. The yarn store in Ohio where I bought the yarn from has a picture of the finished blanket; and the owner, who is very nice to me, sent me a remark saying “fabulous.” I like the sweater you knitted for your mom. You are so good to her. My daughter is good to me. I hope you and the family are well. Take Care. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hello Jana, I enjoy your podcast so much and look forward to the next one. Doctors are only human, they can seem mean and im sure some are.
My 3rd son has had learning issues. He's now 47, had his first brain tumor at age 14. The doctors didn't expect him to live long. Hes now had a total of 4 brain tumors and 7 brain surgeries. He has grand mall seizures because of all these issues. But...he has proven them wrong.
He is on disability now. But, he loves the Lord with his whole heart and is pastoring a small church. God is in control all ALL THINGS not mankind. Keep your eyes on him. Sophia will do fine. She has a wonderful mother and father as support.. God will provide!
Nana is so stylish ❤😊. I am Dreaming of the Cloudbow by Reed Keyes…I have the yarn wound up and ready to go, However, waiting for cooler temperature as knitting with Mohair is not the best in HOT humid weather.
My grandparents have had their dear cottage for decades and my dream project would be a needle point work that features it - I've done needle point less than 10 hours but a dream is a dream ☺

I do love your pink, lavender colorwork. It's really pretty. It's great to hear Sophia has grown beautifully into a big schoolgirl. Please let her model her pretty pink sweater for photos. It would be lovely to see her in it. I have a Grandson recently diagnosed with Autism and Auditory Processing problems. Liam is now being home schooled and that's working really well. His Mum works from home, so it's easier. It's definitely challenging to get some of the services provided. The more I look at your colorwork top, the more my Dream knitting seems more achievable.

It's very challenging to work and raise children. I taught elementary for 43 years and raised 3 children. I remember the non-stop schedule! In my retirement, I have time

Lovely to see you back , you were missed. 🥰 I love your projects, pretty colours and styles and Nana is so sweet. I haven’t had a DREAM of knitting much except socks , I just don’t have the energy these days to knit big things. I am dreaming of doing Stained Glass so have started a simple project just to bring my skills back before I attempt anything big. It’s been quite a few years since I’ve worked with glass but I love it.
It’s great Sophia is happy with school, it makes life a lot easier. Im glad you found an after school program that works. My daughter was very lucky with her children’s care before, after school and snow day care…..it was me, still is. I’ve been retired and single for many years so we got a house that gives me a nice sized apartment and yet their space is big enough as well. So we both have our privacy when we want.
I hope they find out what is causing your health problems and can get it under control very soon. 🙋🏼♀️🥰

I dream about knitting a fairisle jumper. I have knitted many Icelandic jumpers for my husband and son but never fairisle, just need to make that last leap . I love your knitting blogs , knitting is my joy and you make it better x

My dream knit atm would he that yarn cozy. I'd definitely need one for my slippery, unraveling yarn cakes. I've seen all rhose wooden and cheramic pots, but never seen a yarny one - that would be easily accessible, yay! 😅

I have watched all your episodes. They bring joy to my day. My dream knit is to spin lace weight yarn from my friend's sheep. I plan to knit a big lace weight shawl. I have low blood pressure also. Stress makes it worse. Knitting helps! 💕💕

Please don’t ever feel too badly when you have pattern issues or yarn issues or drop stitches because you’re laughing. It really warms the heart of knitters like me who aren’t of your high caliber that you have issues as well. I was watching interesting videos (one was your’s!) as I was knitting a lace pattern shawl yesterday and now I have to frog about 12 rows but I’m OK with that. Actually to tell you the truth I would be OK with leaving it…it’s in a Noro textured yarn thick and thin so no one would really even notice and so what if they do? Life is too short for perfection on my part- - I’ll leave that to Others, lol.
My knitting dream is that I have the time to knit everything I want to and use up all my stash. Then I can buy more!

Our 5 yr old grandson has special needs and will be going to a kindergarten this year! So thrilled! His parents both work so we help whenever we can. My dream knit is the Koivua sweater by Caitlin Hunter. I have the yarn to knit it right here, but am afraid to start because I haven't done stranded knitting before. Maybe I'll just take a deep breath and plunge in.
My dream knitting would be some really colorful cardigan what I would have done my own hand dyed yearn. Before that have to learn how dye yarn. And congrats on your 15K subscribers, Yay! My favorite color is pink too, so my next dream knit is a pink "Esmeralda Sweater!" Any sweater is a dream knit, cause it seems like I always need to make more blankets & little shawls for gifts first. All knitting is dream knitting for me tho!😂❤🧶

I'm quite a slow knitter so tend to make baby items and more plain stockinette adult garments like the lento and ranunculus. My dream knit is a colourwork sweater from Marie Wallin but that's quite ambitious for me.

I would always sew myself a birthday treat but last year, inspired by you, I did my first birthday cast on. This year, (my birthday is in a week) my dream knit to cast on for my birthday is the Moonlight shawl by Melody Hoffman.

Hi Jana, about your lovely yarn cozy. You could make them in pattern as a swatch when working in the round. It'll give you gauge, a cozy and you wont have to cut it so it's still usable if you run out of yarn unlike normal colour work swatches. Hope this makes sense. Love your programme btw.
