Be sure to follow us on Instagram (redline_reviews) and Facebook (liketheredline) for a sneak peak at all the cars we will be filming while in Seattle! Thanks for watching guys!
It absolutely is. The quality of the interior is part of what makes the base Macan so successful. This includes other vehicles in its class.

13:36 Oh Goody Gumdrops! Felt..😂 But on serious note, it looks like Porsche just wanted to piece together something to fill that empty slot in their lineup. They make phenomenal cars but their CUVs seem to lag behind most competitors in build quality and especially especially especially reliability.. Even short term.
100 thousand sold a year? Have never seen 1 on the road. I live in Las Vegas and Florida. Only people who need to show off would wast money on this 4 cylinder 30 thousand dollar car.
Edit: Retract my original comment. Apparently to the internet says the compete but at quite different price points (at least in my area) the Alfa is the far better deal. By me you can pick up a Stevlio for around 35k and some even a round 33k but have fun trying to find a Macan under 50k. Interested to see what Alfas go for in other parts.
Porsche doesn't stand behind the quality of their vehicles. Transfer case on my 2015 Macan S has failed twice now in only 27,000 miles. This is a known issue which caused Porsche to extend their warranty to 7 ys. Their "improved" transfer case lasted only 2 years 2 months and 9,000 miles. I am out of warranty by 6 weeks and Porsche turns their back on problem and sticks me for $3,200 repair. Don't buy a Porsche w/o extended warranty for entire length of time you expect to own it. #1 rated warranty company - Endurance - won't even sell coverage on Macan. That should tell Porsche and all potential buyers something. Customer experience is far from an expected premium car brand experience.
Alfa stelvo ti sport awd is a way better bargain and more hp and tq to boot!!! Plus the stelvio outperforms this in every way!! No brainer porche wants to much money for the suv marketed vehicles
You mean the Porsche SUV's and Panorama crossover or all Porsche cars? If you mean all Porsche cars i would call you crazy. Porsche has and still does build iconic and amazing sports cars. From the legendary 959 to the Carrera GT to the 918 Spyder to the 911 GT2RS
This is a much nicer car than a CX-5 Turbo (they aren’t in the same price class) and noticeably quicker, but when you properly compare it to what you get in an Audi SQ5 for the same price, the base Macan is pointless. The SQ5 is much more of basically the same car, including much better performance and more storage space. Only reason to get the Macan is for the badge.
The macan is a nice car but it needs a refresh, the design is starting to look dated. When you compare it to the Audi, say the sq5 , I could see someone passing over the macan for that reason
Wasn’t expecting so much hate for the Macan in the comments. Porsche vehicles are expensive. Of course they are. That’s nothing new. And I bet most of these are leased, and really, the only time you have to worry about maintenance or reliability is if you plan on keeping a vehicle for more than five years, or if you buy it used.
You where way more harsh on the Maserati for parts sharing but your way more soft on this car. Maybe it’s because you have one ? Maserati doesn’t share a platform with A chrysler. This car shares too much with VW and Audi This car is garbage hard plastic back doors in a Porsche . Lmao
I always thought dealers would give you mid-tier or top trim loaners to try and entice you to trade in your current car and get a higher trim model on your next purchase.
It is not the first Porsche to have a 4 cylinder engine. For example, at one point, the 944 had a 3 liter 4 cylinder engine- the largest 4-cylinder production engine ever in any car.. I'm surprised that you don't know what you're talkin about. How about the Porsche 912? I could go on and on.
Is it just me, or does the design of the steering wheel remind anyone of the one found in the 2018/2019 Honda Accord? The leather and stitching look the same, and so does the 3 spoke aluminum-look design minus the weird cutout where there controls are...
really bias reviews from this guy he didnt cry about halogen fog lights but any other car he does and he makes up excuses for this car he knocks at 26k hyundai elantra thats fully loaded real funny watching this joke
I agree. I’ve noticed the “snob factor” awhile ago. You know what’s funny, his CAYMAN interior looks very similar to the very interior he just whined about.
3.0 Biturbo in the S/GTS is NOT the same motor as in the SQ5, it's a porsche large bore, short stroke that's also in the previous gen panamera 4S. It has no relation with the audi 3.0
For all the whining about the 2.0 engine I didn't hear any mention of the oil leaks of the 6 cylinder engines that have cost folks upwards of $7000 to repair out of warranty. The EA888 isn't bullet proof, but compared to the cost to fix the 6 I can buy 2 EA888's. Talking about the engine sound? Really I guess that's why manufacturers pump engine sound into the cabin so speed racer boys can feel like they're going somewhere. Americans seem to think it's all about speed, but there's always something faster and chances are you're not sitting in it. Yeah spend the extra $10k and hope your valve cover bolt breaks in warranty.

Calvin Hikes Also if you’re able too find a 2014-2015 Cayman with low mileage for 25k as opposed to nearly 40k, also shoot me a link for those aswell.
The steering in the Macan is the best steering that I've ever experienced.
The intro music....ahhh my ears...
I would buy the Cadillac XT4 and the Mazda CX-5 turbo before even looking at this. 65k for this example is highway robbery. You should have been way more harsh towards this vehicle like you were in your review of the Regal GS. This Macan looks like it should be no more than 40k max price for your tester.
Both are smaller and a class below the Macan.
Cadillac? LOL!
Cadillac stinks like a cheap Buick. They also give you a free breakfast when you come for service :)
Eh. “In typical Porsche fashion” this thing is overpriced and underwhelming. I’ll take the quality and simplicity of my ‘19 XC60. Also...very biased review. You never let halogen fog lights slide like that on any other cars.
Certain brands seem to get a free pass from him. I. E. most German cars, KIA, Mazda etc
Jared Stephenson they are bixenon not halogen
@@shookistheblaine8521 the fog lights are halogen.
No kidding halogen fog lights on a brand new 65 k car. What a joke Porsche is.
@@fillup316 🔴🔴
Yellow halogen fog light? 🤦🏻♂️
Genesis needs to build an SUV and destroy this damn thing
@@YouWillNeverKnow actualy Porsche leads in JD Power ratings. You cant hate them for exterior design, but You cant say its shit. And also collage girls will suck You in much cheaper cars.
They listened
I want to see a 911 Turbo S review
Great review--Now I want one!
SKIP. THE. LOUD. INTRO.
1:22
You're welcome
Boohoo
Love the review, very very good, very detail.
I live in Reston and saw the this area in video on GPS lol :D
13:36 Oh Goody Gumdrops! Felt..😂 But on serious note, it looks like Porsche just wanted to piece together something to fill that empty slot in their lineup. They make phenomenal cars but their CUVs seem to lag behind most competitors in build quality and especially especially especially reliability.. Even short term.
100 thousand sold a year? Have never seen 1 on the road. I live in Las Vegas and Florida. Only people who need to show off would wast money on this 4 cylinder 30 thousand dollar car.
Why did you have to take down the video with the Model 3 update?
4:27 that is EXACTLY WHAT I SAID the minute i saw the 2020 ESCAPE!!!
Is Stelvio Macan's competition? I was wondering cuz Sofyan never mentioned it.. Oh and I am planning on getting Stelvio soon. Great review btw
Edit:
Retract my original comment.
“Not too firm” but every bump appears to bounce you off the seat! That makes Sport +” a comfortable daily drive mode?
4:35 looks like a dune buggy. the infiniti fx did it first.
Alfa stelvo ti sport awd is a way better bargain and more hp and tq to boot!!! Plus the stelvio outperforms this in every way!! No brainer porche wants to much money for the suv marketed vehicles
besides a prius i find porsche to look unappealing...
One of those wheels are worth more than my entire car and/or life
nobody cares, go work and make a name out of yourself, its not cool to complain , life's easy if you smarten up.
@@megaxboxx It's a joke dude, you must be fun at parties
Sat in both this and the new RDX at the auto show. RDX's interior was nicer by a rather large margin.
The new rdx is NEW, this design is not, you’re comparing a 2019 design to a 2015
This is not a Macan S. It's a normal Macan
Looks more like a VW than an Audi oddly
Did Sofyan not notice the clock in this vehicle? Im kinda bummed he didnt mention the clock in the Macan.
Its a Macan GTI, thats what it is. What is the point on getting a slow porsche
Look Porsche, RAV-4 gives us standard LEDs. Shame on you for charging extra for charging for LEDs extra.
Don't forget to mention
Oil Leak Issues of the
Porsche Macan S.
$9,000. to service.
Other than that,
I looks awesome.
Oh yeah!!
Auto lock/unlock is not standard? wow lol
@Tiago Patrao you're totally right man you need to up the luxury to at LEAST a Corolla to get crazy advanced tech like auto door locks
65k for that wow. SQ5 and X3 M40 is less and you’re dead in X5 money with its turbo I6 which is nicer car.
Do not purchase this vehicle. Lease it!
it retains its value fairly well so its a good buy if you sell it once you hit 70k on the odo
Leasing is almost always worse. I have this car
@@M3nace_f80 any issues? problems? love to know how many miles and how your macan has been.
Why lease?
The macan is a nice car but it needs a refresh, the design is starting to look dated. When you compare it to the Audi, say the sq5 , I could see someone passing over the macan for that reason
Wasn’t expecting so much hate for the Macan in the comments. Porsche vehicles are expensive. Of course they are. That’s nothing new. And I bet most of these are leased, and really, the only time you have to worry about maintenance or reliability is if you plan on keeping a vehicle for more than five years, or if you buy it used.
I just came to see if the glove box was lined with felt.
You where way more harsh on the Maserati for parts sharing but your way more soft on this car. Maybe it’s because you have one ? Maserati doesn’t share a platform with A chrysler. This car shares too much with VW and Audi This car is garbage hard plastic back doors in a Porsche . Lmao
Pls change the intro music..
Love porsche key fobs, great review, open minded as always
I always thought dealers would give you mid-tier or top trim loaners to try and entice you to trade in your current car and get a higher trim model on your next purchase.
Well that's exactly what Sofyan got here with this Macan. A mid tier loaner.
@@fillup316 I thought he said it was a base model?
It is not the first Porsche to have a 4 cylinder engine. For example, at one point, the 944 had a 3 liter 4 cylinder engine- the largest 4-cylinder production engine ever in any car.. I'm surprised that you don't know what you're talkin about. How about the Porsche 912? I could go on and on.
Zechariah 12:10 We should have been more specific and said “first modern Porsche” with a 4-cylinder :)
You should do a review on your caymen 😊
Is it just me, or does the design of the steering wheel remind anyone of the one found in the 2018/2019 Honda Accord? The leather and stitching look the same, and so does the 3 spoke aluminum-look design minus the weird cutout where there controls are...
I got a lil FCA vibe when he zoomed in on the infotainment system and A.C vents, tell me it didn't look like a Cherokee 11:44
I thought this was going to be about the Macan S, this is a base Macan.
really bias reviews from this guy he didnt cry about halogen fog lights but any other car he does and he makes up excuses for this car he knocks at 26k hyundai elantra thats fully loaded real funny watching this joke
ayah oaps I hate to agree on a negative post about this channel but damn if it isn’t true
Porsche makes the best cars in the world, this thing though...
Porsche is Porsche, not all Japanese or Korean junk brands will come to be close to the dust on the Porsche, so let’s be honest here.
That interior looks disgusting for the class
i'm looking at a Cayenne not new but thought I would take a peek love apple play I like it
Cheeky. Reviewing a loaner while your Cayman is in for warranty or maintenance work?
So basically the Porsche is just a fancier Audi which is a fancier Volkswagen.
Nice Review Of 2018 Porsche Macao Sport Edition. 😁
Love those wheels
I wouldn't pay 10K for this.
That's A LOT of buttons around gear selector LOL
That intro music surprised me lol
Might be a good purchase used in 5 years so. Less used and abused than Tiguan or q5.
