    Thanks Tyson, I appreciate that you showed a partial section through the roof. I am particularly interested in how Sketchup/Layout and CAD (I use SpiritCAD) can integrate to make easier and faster workflow for smaller design studios.

    Why sketchup doesn't provide partial section?? I want to cut only one building in an area with section but sketchup section surface size cannot be changed and it applies to everything that exists in the model

      All you have to do is open the group with the building inside and place a section plane into that group!
