I recently started using the skyzone adapter with rapidfire! (I use skyzones though)
You can also custom cut lens squares, that fit over the original lenses. Magnifying the screen

hey awesome mods. Im looking for a way to get an external receiver onto my goggles and this mods seems soo easy compared to some people soldering in an external module. can you possibly make a video with more detail of how you got this to work. thanks

Thanks for the video, surprisingly hard to find a clear no-nonsense video on a reasonable fpv goggle in the $100 range.
I do note however that with the module and module adapter that brings the cost of the goggles up to about 200. Would you happen to have any recommendations for a comparable setup that is rtr and in the $200 range?

As far as I can see at a glance at around 250 for ev100+module adapter+module+ and you're gonna want to buy an upgraded battery the only things in the price range are gonna be box goggles. Which are nothing to sneeze at but they aren't for everyone. They make my eyes go funny. Find me on instagram if you wanna chat about it 🤙🤙

@@BadLuckFPV goggles finally arrived, and the fpv view setup on my remote control tank is phenomenal and hilarious.
I am looking at adding in the wildfire for your recommendation but unless I'm mistaken if it is using the AV port I believe that prevents you from adding the DVR for the goggles. Am I missing something there? I haven't ordered the module or the DVR yet otherwise I'm sure it would be self-explanatory.
@@toddpickens it does take over your dvr port. I tooled with the idea of splicing it in but I didn't want to mess with my video quality for flying

No soldering at all.
The module adapter uses adhesive tape to stick to the face of the goggles then has wires that you route power and video through.
Then the module itself plugs into the adapter

Fatshark foam pad fits
I used mine today after a year and a half of storage . The picture keeps going blacked out or white out . Anywhere . 3 feet away . 300 feet away . Anywhere . But the dvr actually did not lose picture in playback . And normal is like a red color picture . But the image is clearer than ev800 , ev80 , but when it stops is not fun .
Seems like it might be an issue then with the screens themselves

Yep! Anything that's compatible with the fatsharks module bay is compatible here

Hey bro does it work with the module adapters made for DJI goggles? They dont seem to have the skyzone ones for sale here in south east asia
I can't say for sure but the wiring is theoretically all the same. Sky zone actually doesn't sell this adapter at all anymore, so any analog module adapter will work
Yoooo man so did you still use the bottom for your patch antenna and the top for the other? Since it’s upside down does it make a difference which hole you use? Mine is on its way🤟🏻
I don't have a patch, which I should. But no it doesn't matter which port. Makes no difference to the module. 🤙🤙

Hey bro, does the skyzone adapter cause the image to be darker? Some people were complaining about that?
The Eachine 58 Pro module would fit into that external module case?

I haven't noticed any darkening of image. Im usually pretty sensitive to that stuff too. it might be case by case, but in my case it's unnoticeable.
and as far as I've found from a quick google, if it can fit in a fatshark then it will fit in the adapter

@@BadLuckFPV yeah I actually saw those on Amazon. Just from the photos though they look pretty freaking thick which might offset the whole reason of removing the faceplate. Somehow yours in the video don’t look as intrusive. Appreciate the help, awesome video!
@@on1ytheb3st np, thanks! The foam compresses down a lot once you've got the goggle on and the strap tightened, so if the thickness is a factor I would say give it a shot and it should work
I added the pro58 module and my image seems to be darker than before, even when I adjust the brightness to 100%. Do you know how to fix that?
I've heard of a couple of different people having the same problem with the darkened image and as far as I know there's no fix. It wasn't a problem for me so it might be as much as returning it and getting a new one ?

Yes! The two BEST benefits of doing this mod.
Of course what matters most is what receiver module you put in the adapter
Ev100 battery 7.4v / Receiver mount case holder cover output 5v?
It has standard receiver module pins, any module like the rapid fire, wildfire etc will be powered by it. I'm actually not sure about a 5v
How does the module adaptor attach to the goggles?
It comes with some extra strength double sided tape

Nope. The module adapter takes up the av out slot
But because it uses the av port then you cant use external module and dvr😕
Yes this is the choice you must make with this external adapter. Do you want good video or DVR. Not a choice you want to have to make. But alas
Sometimes I wonder if there's a way to splice them.
Dji is super expensive. It only takes over if you are willing and able to spend tons of money
Honestly man especially if you can have something this good for this price. The longer I've had this with the wildfire the less I care about not having fatsharks or DJI.
