@@UAVfutures basically for me it comes down to the break up when your video signal is weak. With Anolog and HDzero, if im getting a bad picture i can get it back by flying into a known area, or upwards instantly. But with DJI Vista/03/walksnail its buffering (like a youtube video) and stutters and if you get real bad signal it can black out, and not reconnect. HDZ goggles have more options (HDZ, Anolog, Walksnail VRX) and are a fantastic easy to use goggle. comfortable Walksnail Goggs are locked into WS, and are clunky to navigate, its not that much cheaper either. uncomfortable goggle. Dived mountains in Jordan and it was terrible video! Still have the VRX and 1 WS drone, but the VTX will be removed soon. i dont fly WS at all anymore. I have Goggles V2/DJI 03 is good, great picture, amazing picture actually and records 4k. i do fly the dji03 for real estate, and for my drones that are not going to crash. I'd use them in cruisers or mountain surfing drones or 3.5inch for IG vids. Too expensive to freestlye and replace all the time. Not very durable VTX. Hated the DJI Vista/Link, the 03 is much better. Since getting HDZ Goggle a year ago, i have flown 3 times as much already than the previous 2 years. All my HDZ is 90FPS cameras and i feel so connected to the quad with it, its like a new level of flying activates immediately. I also fly fast, so i dont need a amazing picture (like the DJI03) i need less latency.. and thats HDZero all the way baby! They also have a really solid VTX (freestyleV2) , i crash hard and they are all alive. Long range! yep no problem for HDZ, setup your antennas correctly and go miles. Anolog is still great - especially for new people on a budget.. i would have more confidence diving a 4km mountain with anolog than WS My preferance -HDZero - DJI03 - Anolog - Walksnail Thanks STU Regards STU
All I care about is the quality of the googles viewscreens, not the recorded DVR footage view. I will be flying RC Planes and gliders. Does the view screen image look as good as the recorded footage shown in many videos. I want a go pro look while flying. So which one is for me?

@@simpl3lang I also just got into FPV, bought EV800Ds and built two analog quads: a 5 inch using GEPRC MK4 frame and a 4 inch sub 249g one based on Flywoo Explorer. Those 2 quads combines cost less than 1 DJI Air Unit. And DJI goggles cost 10x more than ev800s. In the 4 inch quad I have Caddx ratel 2 camera, AKK VTX and a Hawkeye 4K Thumb camera. Those combined still weigh less than O3 air unit. Plus the analog camera has a great low-light capability...

I built quads with the caddx vista units and pretty much stopped flying analog except for small stuff like whoops. Good helpful info! Hopefully this is a good place to ask this question. While I DO own the Avata 2 with G3, I also have a SwellPro Splashdrone 4. I have been looking for a goggle option to get away from the 9" tablet connected to the controller. Using it to fly shark bait 1000yds off the beach is really taxing to actually see the screen in bight Florida sunlight. SwellPro said... "We don't have goggles for SD4" and that was the end of that conversation. Some insight would be GREAT. Thanks and keep up the good work.
You could mount the screen inside a suitable box with either holes to look through or even ski goggles with lenses removed mounted to the box, this will solve your sunlight problem and this was my first fpv setup back in the very early days of fpv using a small lcd tv before goggles became a thing, massive field of view too which spoiled me as most early fpv goggles had a tiny FOV like the old fatsharks 32 degrees which I did not want 🙂👍
Hi Stew , I have a set of "Flysight View Optics" Box Goggles , that are very Similar to the "Head play" Goggles and I can honestly say , these Goggles are not bad in terms of the Large Screen size but if these things had a good quality Tablet Screen in them , never mind the big bulky goggle size , they would be very nice for flying my Camera drones but unfortunately these things has got a piece of Crappy Liquid Crystal Display Screen in them and that's the Problem but I can see where these would be great and I actually like them but all to that Cheap ass screen !!!!🤔

Perpetuating the myth that HDZero is only for racers and showing it in the absolute worst light with that terrible reception shot, but not going over how WS and DJI smear, block, and skip frames when the signal gets low.
DJI for me. I'm willing to spend a bit more for a solid product. The Walksnail just isn't there yet (maybe in future), and I'm not spending DJI/Walksnail money for HDZero image quality. Maybe if I cared about racing but even then I'd be pretty sore about spending that much for HDZero's crap image quality.
@@UAVfutures My most flown quads are my 4" micro long range. I love the DJI O3 (despite its price) because I can get quality footage and stay under 250g which lets me sidestep almost all the restrictions on flying drones in Canada. Almost all the "rules" become recommendations if you're under 250g. I've been flying FPV since 2013 and it's crazy to me that I can get an aerial platform that transmits in HD, shoots onboard 4K 60 or 4K 120 AND weighs less than a can of cola.
@UAVfutures why: immersion. Have I yet? Can I, is there a setup that will let me? The biggest was 70 something. Was good but only analogue and I was wanting more.
If you want best on board recording obviously you want O3/DJI. The moonlight is worse quality and also heavier, and TBH I believe they've stopped making them for now, so their QA isn't as good. The V2's work with OG, vistas, and O3. Only thing not (for now) is the O4/Avata 2. Integra might be the best to get as hopefully supports OG all the way to O4 (if/when it comes). I use CobraX box for Analogue, and HDZero on top of my trusty V2s! So for hardware quality it's also DJI, the Walksnail and HDZero are miles behind on that, albeit walksnail quality to goggles is as good as 2 generation ago DJI (which is good!). Love we have so many choices!
@@UAVfutures into wings now. Tiny whoops use analogue (though picked up one new eco HDZero mob6 recently it's ok). Vista on wings is nice. Walksnail is good and options for 3 inch are nice (a vista is too large), but the moonlight is heavier and bigger than an O3!
I have the 1st generation walksnail goggles. The grass is a bit mushy and I didn't think the picture was as good as my V2's. Is the X really that much better than the original?
@@doccock100 The only Walksnail goggles I’ve used are the X, and they have a great picture. Idk if it’s any better than previous Walksnail goggles. The X has a lot better picture than my DJI Goggles V2, but the DJI stomps the WS for penetration.
I feel inbetween a rock and a hard place. dji is a no go because I don't want to buy the goggles 2 for the o3 air and when the o4 air comes out they don't work with my goggles. It's just too big of an investment to have forwards compatibility not considered by the company. I love the idea of caddex, however I've heard a lot of bad things about that headset, quality control, firmware issues and just a nightmare in a lot of cases. Even their newest vtx, the avatar gt, sounds perfect on paper and should beat the o3 in penetration and range, but it falls short. It just doesn't make sense that a vtx with so much more power than the o3 is being beaten by the o3- its just shit firmware. And outside of those two there are no other offerings for a great viewing experience with good range and penetration :/
I've been on the dji eco system since the begining. Be way too expensive to switch if i wanted to. I have the v1 goggles and the goggles 2. Waiting on the 04 AU to drop before i get the goggles 3. I'm hoping my goggles 2 will work with the 04 AU at some point lol.
Not true. DJI is still compatible with all the old gear. Goggles 2 will run all current air units. Also you never mentioned anything about range and penetration for any system which for freestyle or long range pilots is crucial in making a purchasing decision. They can also run the caddx vrx that you prefer personally, and have lots more going for them other than the latency. I'm not having a dig by any means, just a little feedback bud. Happy flying
@@mrph678agreed and displaying a pair of gen 1 DJI goggles then showing a pick if the goggles 3 😂
Fantastic. HDZERO or Caddex for me.
ALTHOUGH! I still fly my Aomway Commanders actually 😁😁
DJI Goggles 3 are compatible with 03 air units starting today after the update
You showed the dji goggles 3 listing, which is ONLY for Avata 2 (update: now they also work with o3, but not vistas)!! The DJI goggles Integra (work with both o3, vista, and Avata 2 and likely the o4) are only $350 USD and what you should be showing. 😜
Yeah for $580 you can have goggles integra and an O3 air unit for less than the cost of Hdzero goggles for $600 and another $100 for antennas since they don’t come with any.
@@Quad_Fatherbut you have to spend another $300 for mid range analog goggles to fly anything less than 3.5” so it’s a toss up
DJI sucks no matter the price, in a few months they will be obsolete and yet another Goggle will be released and rinse and repeat for DJI
I'm super happy with my Integras and 03 AU.
@@mwhizzler476 I have a good 2.5 inch with a full vista and I know people that love those Pavo Pico style ones that are only 2"
I have all. HDzero is the best by far
PLEASE comment and let me know the pros and cons of each. Would be great to hear from you. owning all 3 is something so few piltos actually can do. share this knowledge please
HDZ goggles have more options (HDZ, Anolog, Walksnail VRX) and are a fantastic easy to use goggle. comfortable
Walksnail Goggs are locked into WS, and are clunky to navigate, its not that much cheaper either. uncomfortable goggle.
Anolog is still great - especially for new people on a budget.. i would have more confidence diving a 4km mountain with anolog than WS
My preferance -HDZero - DJI03 - Anolog - Walksnail

I NEED HELP PICKING FOV GOGGLES DO I NEED DIGITAL OR ANALOG FOR CLEAR VISION ?????
Great info, thanks 👍
Thanks for the video and information Stew
cheers mate. good to see you here again.
I dont deal with much customer service, but mine was a good experience with DJI.
All I care about is the quality of the googles viewscreens, not the recorded DVR footage view. I will be flying RC Planes and gliders. Does the view screen image look as good as the recorded footage shown in many videos. I want a go pro look while flying. So which one is for me?
You have to go with DJI if you want to come close. But you will never have live Go Pro kust fue to trsnsmitting power and form factor
Well DJI is going the Apple iPhone philosophy or Apple in general. It can tick a lot of people off but it doesn’t seem to bother them, the revenue fits
Going? Been that way for years. Multi billion dollar companies typically are proprietary. Still make superior product that just work. Kinda like apple 🤢 puked a little just saying that
What about the Autel Evo 2 Pro V3 Goggles? Im really curious about these digital goggles their decently priced on ebay for $129. Has anyone used the Autel Goggles or maybe someone can recommend a video with a good review. I would love to see you guys do a review on those goggles, cheers brother I appreciate you doing this video, the information was great and much needed to help me make my first goggle purchase.
Would you recommend the dji goggle 2 or the V2?
V2 or integra. I own both and can’t go wrong with either.
@@jcjrdigital5570 thanks. Im thinking of the V2 but dont knw if dji will still make it work with newer air units like the o4 when/if it comes out. 🤞🏽
the real question is what type of flying and drone do you want to fly?
@@UAVfutures i just started. Still on the liftoff sim. I have the rm boxer, ev800d, and i have 2 analog quads arriving soon (mobula8 and meteor65). I want to just fly around and do tricks. And probably take some cinematic shots during some trips on a 249g below quad. Im thinking i should buy the hdzero goggles for all hd quads and analogs.... Then get the dji goggle 2 for all things dji. Just seeing some comments that v2 is better all around
I started flying analog for the first few years but bought myself a cheap set of dji V1 goggles when the V2 was announced. I built quads with the caddx vista units and pretty much stopped flying analog except for small stuff like whoops.
If I was getting started today I would take a serious look at the caddx walksnail system, I’m not a fan of dji and caddx have always been more in touch with the FPV community.
do they still make vistas?
@@UAVfutures I don’t think so but I bought my V1 goggles and a stack of vistas cheap over 3 years ago and I still have 3 working vista units in quads and a spare in it’s box. Eventually I’ll have to upgrade to something newer but I’m always a late adopter of new tech.
I love fishing. is there a way you can connect a HDMI cable out to a head set?
@UAVfutures it has USB C port. Sort of doubt it has usb-hdmi output though
Anyone know what goggles would work with roku
Hi Stew , I have a set of "Flysight View Optics" Box Goggles , that are very Similar to the "Head play" Goggles and I can honestly say , these Goggles are not bad in terms of the Large Screen size but if these things had a good quality Tablet Screen in them , never mind the big bulky goggle size , they would be very nice for flying my Camera drones but unfortunately these things has got a piece of Crappy Liquid Crystal Display Screen in them and that's the Problem but I can see where these would be great and I actually like them but all to that Cheap ass screen !!!!🤔
i've been flying since 2020 and ive taken a year break from fpv and video systems have only become more confusing lol
Awesome video man.
cheers bro
I laughed when I saw that you converted that Lightning 1 to HD. I just bought a Lightning 1 and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I can't wait. And I'm thinking that when I convert to HD if I like it as much as you apparently like yours, maybe I'll try to convert mine as well. Speaking of which how difficult was that project?
its my all time fav drone. but I have broken 1 camera so far in it. it was actually a little tricky. you have to desolder the on board vtx, there is a vid on my channel about it.
@@UAVfutures Thanks for the response! I purchased the 14kv instead of the 10kv. I'm wondering if that was a mistake as the 10kv will get more battery time.
I'm looking through your channel and I don't see a video converting from analog to digital. Can you help me find it?
@@UAVfutures I bought a HGLRC Draknight for $100 and I love it! I think it's identical to YMZFPV Lighting except HGLRC added a Buzzer/ LED in the rear. It's so fast an agile for such a tiny thing! I get up to 6 minutes of flight time using Tattu R-Line 550mAh.
Maybe if I cared about racing but even then I'd be pretty sore about spending that much for HDZero's crap image quality.
what size drones do you mainly fly?
@@UAVfutures My most flown quads are my 4" micro long range. I love the DJI O3 (despite its price) because I can get quality footage and stay under 250g which lets me sidestep almost all the restrictions on flying drones in Canada. Almost all the "rules" become recommendations if you're under 250g. I've been flying FPV since 2013 and it's crazy to me that I can get an aerial platform that transmits in HD, shoots onboard 4K 60 or 4K 120 AND weighs less than a can of cola.
Cant really disagree with this - for my type of flying its the Walksnail Googles X
I think the DJI falls short from HDZero in the shadows.
Thanks Stew!!
my pleasrue mate, did you see my betaflight vid?
Hello is the dji googles 3 compatible with dji air unit?
not yet. one day maybe...
Awesome video!
I wish there were hd goggles with an fov of at least 100.
why? have you flown with 100 FOV?
@UAVfutures why: immersion.
Have I yet? Can I, is there a setup that will let me? The biggest was 70 something. Was good but only analogue and I was wanting more.
You can try it in the simulator, i have liftoff and tryp, and both support changing the fov
dji is just to corpo for me, i wanna feel like jonny silver hand when im blasting trees! not some arisaka gonk!
ok. 🤣
some random quad in the background has three 5 bladed props and one 3 bladed prop
Love we have so many choices!
all good points, what craft do you mainly fly? i wish dji was smaller
DJI has best image quality also range and penetration, I fly bando alot dji is best in my case. for racers I agree hdzero
how many broken air units do you have?. bandos can be rough on the wallet.
I want the size, weight, and fit of my 04x’s, the penetration of my Goggles V2, and the super clear picture of my Goggles X all in the same goggles.
The X has a lot better picture than my DJI Goggles V2, but the DJI stomps the WS for penetration.
the analog ones quality is all 1 out of 10 nowhere near a 7 tops like a 2
how excellent channel. 📢
nice video.
😇
DJI 3 !
My issue with FPV goggles, much like VR, is glasses.
What about Walksnail?
caddx is walksnail
thats caddx.
Love your Drone wall, Solid Ass Idea if you ask me.
The original goggles 2 and 03 air units are the best
what makes you say that? genuinlly interested and good to hear other peoples opinions.
Спасибо за полезное видио.
Bruce Waye: _Do they come in black?_
I've been on the dji eco system since the begining. Be way too expensive to switch if i wanted to. I have the v1 goggles and the goggles 2. Waiting on the 04 AU to drop before i get the goggles 3. I'm hoping my goggles 2 will work with the 04 AU at some point lol.
thats the part I hate. just waiting and hoping with DJI. even if they can technically work. they might choose not to allow it.
I used to use analog, just recently switched to DJI and have zero regrets.
Not true. DJI is still compatible with all the old gear. Goggles 2 will run all current air units. Also you never mentioned anything about range and penetration for any system which for freestyle or long range pilots is crucial in making a purchasing decision. Proper long range you'd be on analogue. Best digital for range and penetration is by far DJI
I would get the DJI.
DJI (and GoPro) have appalling costumer service!!! We don't forget, we will never use again
I got Google's 2 on Amazon for $400 and cheaper if you go used products

I was just talking about these yesterday.... SUCH A CLASSIC. i miss mine
Horrible video. Analog is out of date and should only be used on kamikaze drones because it’s cheap. You should only be suggesting a HD setup
what about if people cant afford digital?
What a horrible take. 😂. A lot of us strap gopros to our drones and have amazing videos and have absolutely no use for digital quality when its not even recording our video. Lol
