I finally see an explanation of why when clear vision is applied on top of super chrome it turns yellow. I had asked several people and they did not know why, even prismatic asked. thanks for your support 💪🏼👌🏼

Now I have to get rid of the old super chrome I have now and get this new super chrome 2. I thought I was doing something wrong when I put clean vision over the old chrome and it turned yellow but it looks like thats just what it does when it cures..🤷♂️

Is super chrome plus the newest version of their chrome? Are you currently using the Hsinda products? Any vids on them vs Prismatic chrome?
Not sure if you’ve ever tried kromezone from tiger , but imo it’s so much better than any SC I’ve ever shot
I'll disagree. It's not as good as a base coat for sure.
Unknown Coatings it may not be as “chromy” per say , but it’s definitely more user friendly and consistent , but from my personal experience with it I’ve had better luck spraying top coats over that rather than SC

Super Chrome II is 15 @ 400 Clear vision is 18 @ 375

Nope but Im told I have Kromezone on the way.
Did you put the clear coat on while the chrome was still hot or did you let it fully cool down before applying the clear ?

This is not a question about super chrome but the question is if you powder an item and after fully cured the item you notice some areas of the item was not covered it’s a bit light. Can I scotch bright the light area and powder coat over or have to sandblast the entire item and powder coat over?
U can totally apply on top of the areas that are light. Why would you sandblast it again?

@@glynecollymore5569 usually that's fine with solid colors. However if you use candy color and can't manage the finish to be consistent, you may apply over your work a new base coat and start over instead of going back to square 1. This My opinion and yes it works

@@jamesbullard9690 ok but they are already chrome plated? You will want to strip those. Especially since works chrome is pretty notorious for failure

so I got my valve cover done in the super chrome one with transparent gold on top and it did have some black spots in it like you mentioned I'm planning on doing my Epsilon Southern ways mesh faces and super chrome 2 with transparent gold on top would you be interested in doing the Epsilon faces?
sorry I missed this but southern ways faces in that color would be a nitemare!

I know your second coat tip is one they no longer make, but do you know of any second coat tips that work with the hypsersmooth?
Not currently. there is the widemouth multi coat nozzle but I havent heard many people speak well of it

Well units are already shipping. I gave up the one I ordered from me to get stuff out faster to customer. I will have to make a video introducing the new units
So. I am looking at having my harley wheels coated. My top choice is black chrome. Can you provide your thoughts. Will I be disappointed? Any suggestions on getting that black chrome look without going with a black chrome powder?
Depends on what look you are actually going for because black chrome powder doesnt look anything like real black chrome.
@@UnknownCoatings perfect that's what my coater is telling me. Trying to go for a black chrome look thinking cadillac grey or kingsport grey. Am curious what polished silver topped with tinted clear may look like. Thanks for the input. Been watching videos and looking at alot of pics. Guess I should put it this way... If it were your harley and you wanted black chrome rims what color combo would you choose.

Got an inexperience question. With cure cycle of 15 min @ 375 how do you get your cook time and temp balanced for say a candy thats 10 min @ 400? Im just curious how the increase in temp effects the other
you mean in relation to base coat vs top coat?

all Prismatics Chromes are meh now, find betters options. HSINDA in china makes the best
