I hate to think the guy who coated those wheels after you had done the faces called himself a professional! Id have told the customer to either save to have his/ her barrels tree-coated or at least had them stripped and polished. That wheel was a mess homie! I love how you select the best examples of content to create and pass on to us viewers! Im going back and watching all your videos. Love that you're back and doing your thing as a cong consultant and that you'll be doing some coating content in the future my guy! You deserve WAY MORE THAN 10K SUBS!! STAY BLESSED AND STAY SAFE!

If you powder coat over anything other than the substrate of the part then you're not a powder coater.
If you are lazy you're not a powder coater.
Holy crap I need to hurry up and get back to coating I've been gone to long. Thanks this video was awesome to me to give me more drive. Thank you

One point about acetone spray bottles. Be careful buying them. I bought four acetone spray bottles, labeled on the bottle “ACETONE”. None lasted more than a month before the sprayer stopped working. I bought these from McMastercarr where I buy a lot of things. Normally a super reliable supplier. If anyone has a good source for these that work for a year at least, I’d like to know.
Man, it’s hard to believe that work was so bad. I suppose they thought that they could make a lot of money charging a cheap rate and not bothering with the required details. They likely thought they did a great job. Often I’ve found that people who do a crappy job actually think they did a great one.

I have a question. I am building a ton truck want to powder coat the frame to match. the cab color. Part of the frame will be exposed and part of the overall color and look of the truck. Some people tell me I can't do that, because the powder coating will never look like the color of the cab. It will always look "different". I have also been told that if I coat the frame with as close of a color that I want as possible and then a painter can match the paint to the powder coating color. I have also been told I will need to coat the frame with a glossy clear to try to match the base/clear color I want to use. The color is Audi Nardo Gray. What is right? Can powder look like base/clear? Do you think it will look ok? blend in?? or not be noticable and look the same at base/clear?

@@UnknownCoatings I just came back to delete my comment, I just want to apologize that you had to read that! That was the very first video that I had seen of yours, But I have been watching your videos nonstop since then! I’ve been an Auto and Marine Mechanic for the past 27 years and I have owned my own shop for the past 10, TH-cam is just flooded with young people who are too lazy to work a real job so they just make videos repairing their own vehicles and they some how think that they are Mechanics! Sure they get the job done but they don’t have to worry about standing behind their work and repairing vehicles for free when they come back with that problem, A perfect example would be every person who has made a video showing how to replace control arms or any suspension part for that matter! What they don’t know is you’re not supposed to torque any suspension parts until the wheels are on the ground and the vehicle is sitting at it’s natural ride height, These idiots don’t know what they don’t know! So now someone else watches their video and now they think that they can fix their own vehicle and they end up causing more damage, I can’t even count how many customers have come to my shop because they messed something up after watching a video! I wasn’t sure if you were a TH-camr making videos or a business owner showing people your skills, I was going to come back earlier and delete this comment but I couldn’t stop watching your videos! @@UnknownCoatings I owned Static International Ltd in the UK. I designed electrostatic spray machines in the 60's up to 2000. We introduced powder spraying to Canada and the US in the early seventies before Gema, Ransburg, & Nordson. Or anyone else had machines therefore.
