    Nice work!!! Breaking into the 6 second club!!! It's in the little details and baby steps that gets you there. And it is so gratifying ❤️

    Super nice to see father and daughter sharing their passion with such great achievements! One questions: does the TT-01 type E also have the slop problems?

    Love your Tamiya videos, it’s amazing the level of performance you get out of a TT01! I’d love to get an idea of how much gum to put in the front diff

      Won our modified class race yesterday with basically an open diff front and rear :) if you want spool effect stuff as much as you can while still being able to close the diff cover.

    That is so cool! I love your videos. I am deciding between getting a tt-01 and a tt-2 sr as my first rc car for racing. Which one would you recommend? Is it cheaper and better to buy a tt--01 and modify it? Thank you.

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  ปีที่แล้ว

      I prefer a tt01 over a tt02. As for mods just get the 2deg rear toe hub, bearings, oil shocks, and set of springs to tune. Important is tires, traction compound and the low cg body.

    Do you have any tips on Ball diff vs Gear diff, I just installed the ball diff for front and rear, but seen a lot of comments on people not really liking the ball diff for TT01E, Your Daughter is Great on the wheel!

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I prefer the set-it-forget it gear diffs over ball diffs. Yes she drove the tires off the wheels literally trying to break the track record. Thanks! :D

      @mokka8727 ปีที่แล้ว

      Again you're contradicting all modern chassis design...most champion agrees belt car for racing, and belt car uses ball diff.

    Can you please help me with more detailed instruction to get the slop away? I want to get my tt01 better in Belgium.

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly my tt01 now has a lot of slop but is now easier to drive and still doing some of the fastest laps in our track. If you want to remove it use 3m teflon tape in the right amount on the arms, then the right amount of shims, metal balls on the arms, superglue to remove the smallest of slop between ball cups and ball ends, etc. The biggest performance is gained with the chewing gum in the front diff and using Tamiya M-Grips tires designed for minis (m-chassis).

    Thanks for sharing your knowledge bro. I think you filmed this on a phone. The misty appearance comes from a bit of oil or grime on the camera lens. A quick wipe will sharpen the image. But, as always, the content of your upload is invaluable, thanks again ;)

    Hello , i have a problem in my tt01 gearbox , when i hit the brake they make a sounds like something loose inside, do you have any suggestion , all gears are new , thanks before 🙏

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  ปีที่แล้ว

      How many turns of motor are you using? Does the pinion gear look good or it's worn out and looks like a hacksaw? It could also be the spur gear plastic pin cover, check if it has loosened or worn out. Hope you find the cause.

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@whitemanjaa Steering slop takes time to remove. For the steering arms I put telflon tape, then maybe 0.1 shim. For the ballcups I put either plastic to take out slop or very small amounts of superglue.

    Hello my friend, answer me this question please. What is the item number or what is the hop ups do you use to the center Drive shaft on your tt01?.....I have aluminiun drive shaft but I think that it isn't very strong.... I have a 120a esc and a 5'5t engenie.
    Thank you very much

    Despite your explanation with this video, it is hard to believe TT01 outperform TA05. Would it just due to chassis with cut holes?

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TT01 is lighter than my TA05. The 251mm wheelbase makes it more agile. The narrow width gives it more traction in our low/med grip track :)

    • @mokka8727
      @mokka8727 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks replying, you really have done lots research.
      RC school to chassis generally believed "flex evenly" is more than "flexibility", so TT01 E may be flexible but graphite provide"even", so high end car use graphite. People like you can easily put TT01 on graphite, why didn't you do so?
