  • Is the M07R better than the TT01 and TT02.
The Tamiya M Chassis class which caught Carl's eye many years ago continues to draw him back for more...

Looking forward to using the Core RC TC spring sets for fine tuning the handling of the M07 and other 1/10 TC chassis as we continue on the journey.
Lets see how the Hobbywing 1080G2 gets on with its first outing.

This channel is definitely becoming one of my favorite RC channels to watch.
I don't have an RC racing club in my City here in Canada but after watching this I am thinking about starting one

I prefer the BT-01 in the FF setup to the TT-01 and M07. It's just a brilliant chassis imo.

The M07 needs a proper front wheel drive body shell with the down force on the front. The phat Rokit is an excellent choice. I race my M07 with the Rokit and was noticeably better on its first lap !

I love this sort of thing (i.e vids showing comparisons between different chassis/type of drive in a race environment). Given the twisty short nature of this track the M07 def faired well, but I also know the driver makes a big difference....e.g when I first got into club racing a few years ago, there was another newbie who thought he was going slow because of his car, compared to the guy next to him who had a newer car/more dialed in car. Guy kindly offered to swap cars and then proceded to lap the newbie with his own car. Guy said, car does make a bit of a difference but its really about learning not to crash and practising. Turns out the guy was some multi national champion from years ago across different types of RC racing and wanted to get back into racing as he wanted his kids to get into 😂😂😂

The M07 is a brilliant little chassis, yeah it does understeer a bit and lacsk a bit of top speed but that can be sorted. For top speed I'd recommend the Factory Pro RC spur gear upgrade, drops it from 37-tooth to 33-tooth and it's also 48dp. I ran it at Stevenage with a 13.5t brushless setup and it was seriously fast, and soooo much fun!!

I love my TT01. Had it for EONS. But I hate the slop in front suspension, and the differential cases that separate from the front and rear, where as the 02 they remove from the top. I really want to repair it and replace parts and take it truck racing. And Id love an M series because theres a old school MX5 body that fit on them and a Mini. Although I think those bodies are for the 05 chassis. Great video Boss, keep throwing the 07 around corners. Look forward to anymore LD3 videos as well.

What's your favorite mods for a TT02 with out going a full Yeah Racing kit. I think too much aluminum makes it too heavy and probably snap the chassis on a big crash. I think some CV joints, metal drive shaft, oil shocks, metal engine mount and some carbon strut tower, servo mount and metal steering. This wil be the mods for my first TT02 build.

Hello mate, had a good chat with you at Chippenham the other week. 2nd in the open mini A if that helps jog memory :)
Although have an M08 now, i ran the M07 for years there, and another track with that same grey carpet.
Trick i found with it was really solid front end on the spring rate, and around 2.5-3 degrees toe out. Made the turn in much more aggressive for me. They're great fun with the core 21s on a 20, or 21t pinion stock internals.
I have a lovely Yaris GR shell that works so so good on the M07 a buddy of mine painted for me not long before I switched to the 08, it's horrible on the RWD, but I'd love for the shell to appear on the channel, i think it's really cool. Let me know if you'd like send it to you :)

      Thanks
I will look at spring options
Shall I start with hardest spring and work backwards?? Can you remember what oil ??

    • @CSCarCleaning
      @CSCarCleaning 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@PopalongRC
I never really used the softer springs, so i'd go from the middle spring rate up. I found as long as the front was harder than the rear the car remained stable, even if it got a bit twitchy with too aggressive front end setup.
Key to get them running well from my experience is to keep as much of the contact patch of the front tyres on the ground (both sides, otherwise it "diffs out" and you lose a lot of traction out the corners.
From memory it was 450 front, and 400 rear.
Lemme know if you want this shell posted out matey - i'd rather see it used :)
