    Nice job.
    I too have an X 3000 that that I love, but now I'm thinking to add a communication system for a cross country trip this summer.
    Your viseo was very helpful, especially that you were able to fit speakers and hsve room.

      Thanks 🙏 I hope the speakers work out. They will be a tight fit. 😁👍🏼

    I have the same helmet. (Yellow/black) I wanted to get the tinted one for some time now for the looks, but seeing on how to swap them not being so easy while on the road, makes me think twice about getting it.
    I ride mostly at daylight but sometimes at night.
    I guess I would have to carry both all the time and the Allen key and stop somewhere before it gets dark to swap it. (Not on the side of the road for a quick change as other helmets)
    Good review 👍

      Yeah, difficult visor swap for sure. Especially compared to the new Sedici helmet I got, I did a review on that and you can see how easily the visor is swapped out. Love the black and yellow AGV for sure!

      Not sure if this would work for you, but I just keep a pair of clear safety glasses under my seat. If I'm caught after dark, I just flip up the tinted visor and put on the safety glasses.

    Thanks for the video. I notice you have the x3000 and the Shoei Glamster. How would you compare the two in terms of noise volume ? Many thanks

      I don’t have the Shoei. Check @cappuccinomoto for a comparison. 👍🏼👍🏼

    Do you think it would be possible to fit the PackTalk Slim to the AVG? I've been trying to determine if you could fit the bracket between the neck roll and the shell.

    • @heybuck6588
      @heybuck6588  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m not familiar with the PackTalk. Not much space back between the neck roll and shell; may depend on the shape of your head. Sorry I’m not much help with this.

    Hi, can you do a close up video on how and where you installed the speakers? I know they're inside where our ears should be but do your ears bump into the speakers when you're putting your helmet on? Does the placement get messed up?

    • @heybuck6588
      @heybuck6588  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I don’t have that helmet anymore so I can’t show that close-up. But it can be a tight fit because there is not a deep pocket for the speakers. I have a narrow head so the speakers did not get bumped when I put the helmet on, but you may have a different experience.

    For my helmet setups I use a mono omnidirectional microphone. Super cheap $9. Make sure it has one band on the plugin and that will tell you it's a mono. Why mono? Because of stereo microphone will pick up too much of everything whereas a mono microphone place near your mouth will pick up primarily just spoken word. You will have to treat it in post-production afterwards but it's very simple.

    how's the visibility during evening rides with the dark visor? I've been wanting to replace the clear lens but I dont want to compromise safety during the night rides.

    • @heybuck6588
      @heybuck6588  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, it’s not good. I don’t ride at night much, but if I do I switch back to my clear visor for sure.

    I know I'm a year late but from an outside perspective that clamp looks like it could cause you a significant injury if god forbid you had an accident.

    • @heybuck6588
      @heybuck6588  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmm. Good point. Fortunately I abandoned that idea when the helmet didn’t work for me and I went with a regular helmet mounted option. Thanks for the input!

    How did you fit the intercom without the cavity? Tnx

    • @heybuck6588
      @heybuck6588  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There’s a cut-out in the cheek pads to make room for your ears. There’s JUST enough space to put the speakers on the inside surface of the helmet and still fit your ears in that space. But, I have a really narrow head, so maybe that helps!

    • @ray_t05
      @ray_t05 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate is that the one made out of plastic? What kind of adhesive you put? Mine doesn’t stick well after a couple of use and sad that this not have a cavity for comms unit. Kinda hurts my ears with the speakers 😣

    • @aliclark_33
      @aliclark_33 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Further to this, because there isn’t a recess specifically for speakers, do you have to be super careful when putting helmet on and taking it off so that you don’t mess up the speaker placement? Or do they stay in place ok, once you have them situated? Also, how is the sound quality? I hear this is probably the quietest retro helmet… just trying to decide whether or not to pull the trigger. I’ve already got the Cardo Freecom+ on the way. Haha

    • @aliclark_33
      @aliclark_33 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am going to reply to my own comment, for the benefit of others who may want to do the Cardo with the AGV C3000. Let me start by saying, Cardo Freecom - awesome system. AGV X3000 - amazing helmet, sexy AF as far as its retro styling…. BUT… I’m not so sure these are a match made in heaven. I’ll explain. There is not a proper cut out inside for these speakers. That said, and reiterating what you said, Buck, the ear pads do have a cut out for your actual ears to go into once the helmet is on. It’s not very deep though. When you fill those recesses with these speakers, your ears have one hell of a time popping back up into their natural upright position. It takes a lot of manipulation with the helmet on to get them to unfold. I’ll tell you, your ears will get pissy about this in short order. Also, because the speakers are so hard underneath the foam that covers them, they scrape up your skin each time you put the helmet on or take it off. I wore this set up for only a few hours one day m, and my ears were bruised, beaten and skinned to the point where I dreaded having to put my helmet on or take it off. I wish I could show you pics. I had to take the speakers out, just to get home from my trip. Pretty discouraging. I’m out a lot of money, kind of… and think the only way I can use these two together is to plug a set of earbuds with a jack into the Cardo. This defeats a lot of the purpose, since earbuds are notoriously a pain the ass with a full faced helmet and putting it on and trying to keep them in place and I’ll now have a long wire to contend with, but at least I’ll have the ability to change songs and use the volume control, by using the Cardo unit on the side of the helmet. My ears are still too beat up to test this theory - I’m HOPING it will work. For the record, I don’t have a fat head or dumbo sized ears… these two just don’t play together nicely, so… be warned.
