- Retro full-face helmets are all the rage in this urban cafe racer / scrambler motorcycle culture. I've owned the Bell Bullitt and the AGV X3000 for a couple years now. When I first ordered my AGV, the left visor screw was already pre-stripped from factory. That being said, I had another one overnighted (thx cycle gear!) and this one has been a GREAT helmet so far. You actually put me onto the AGV, so thanks!

Just found your review and thanks it was really helpful. These are the two helmets I have been looking at. Will be getting a Royal Enfield Interceptor or second had Triumph Street twin in a few month (still not decided which) and I think the AGV will fit the retro look perfectly. Thanks again Garry

Was gonna buy the Bullit only for looks, and was kinda disapointed when i realised my head was a long oval... But your vid helped me come at peace with my head form! Probably gonna buy and AGV now :).
Great channel , recently bought xrs 700 nice bike ,, look forward to modding a lil more , I have the bell bullit realy nice helmet great looking , but yea prety noisy . Keep up the good work stay safe .
I finally decided to buy my all black helmet. I like the way the all black agv x3000 looks with a dark windshield. It's perfect for my all black Scout Bobber Twenty. I've been riding with an AGV that has colorful graphics. It was cool when pair with my 2007 ZX6R but feels out of place in my Indian Scout. Needless to say I can't wait for the helmet. I like the retro cafe style vibe and the AGV X3000 is the perfect helmet for it.

hey man good video. i own the bell bullitt and it fits well for my head - i also own the icon variant which is more of an oval fit and i noticed that its a bit too tight around the temples. this is how i learned that my head is more round than oval shaped lol.
seeing as you live in a major city, would love to see a video on how you keep your bike safe in the city. locks, covers, etc. I am in brooklyn and im always looking for ways to keep my bike safe and tactics to keep it from getting stolen and whatnot. i just picked up a bright orange cover to make sure ppl who are parking at night dont miss my bike and knock it over. what are some of your tactics?
That’s a good way to learn my NYC friend! Haha. I will say it’s not as easy as “head looks round = round” :).
Nice suggestion. I’m lucky to have a garage for storage in the city. Buttttt I do take some precautions when out and about parked for extended periods of time. Added to the list!!!
My retro go to is the silver (to match the bike) Bell eliminator with black visor...my daily is now the black shoei rf-1200 with dark smoke visor, love that helmet and feel very safe in it as well as appreciating the aesthetics of the helmet...nice enough “retro/round” styling, with premium protection. Loved the end of the video with you cruising the city scouting locations!
How do you like that Eliminator? I hear mixed things. That black and white head bobbles? Haha.
Cappuccino Moto ...I already feel like a bobble head in almost all my helmets, I have a big head?! I like the eliminator, it’s light and has a lot of air flow...almost so much that I’ll only wear it on warner days.

I bought the AGVX3000 based mostly on this review. The chosen colourways imo were perfect. I originally couldn't decide which of these two helmets to buy.
I almost bought the Bullitt but the AGV appeared to be superior on so many levels. Oh and also it's, how you put it in your video, 'A F'IN STEAL' in the UK at moment. The logo did originally bother me but imo, as It's based on the AGV racing helmet of legends, I would still want to have the logo but...... I do feel there could be a compromise . Another fantastic suggestion you made on this video.. 'Make it black' I ordered a customised AGV logo in matt and gloss black to fit over the top. So i keep the heritage but in STEALTH mode lol. I also like the AGV X3000 because it doesn't make my head look freekin HUGE! Thanks again for making the review. I still watch this video even though I have the helmet. It's punchy to the point with a feel good vibe. Very much needed these days #covidtimes. Stay safe!

AGV probably made it easy to open the visor from the left on purpose. That way when you are riding you keep your hand on the throttle. I have the x3000 in flat silver and love it. Had an issue with the visor not staying open at speed but as able to send it back to Revzilla and they repaired it. Apparently the black discs between the visor and helmet were cracked. Also there is a nice pocket in the neck roll for the vent plug. One bummer about the vent is it only works when the visor is fully closed. But riding around with the visor cracked brings in plenty of air and doesn't bother my eyes.

Hi, love the channel... and I was wondering if you have fitted a com system on your agv x3000
i got the x3000 and Cardo. X3000 doesn't have the place for speakers, so while it does fit, you can't have the speaker inline with your ears, or you'll have to buy one size larger.
7:35, I'm on the fence. I have 3 that I'm considering after I tried on the Bullitt in my local Cycle Gear and realized that I could NOT fit a L (which is my normal helmet size) OR the XL. Therefore, the 3 choices I have left are the Shoei Ex-Zero, Scorpion Exo-H1, or Torc 3.

Thanks this helmet is awesome. I had a Bullitt in XL which fit me perfectly. I now bought a X3000 in XL and it's too big! Very strange as most people seem to buy a size bigger than normal...? I'll swap it for a Large anyway..

Other than the Shoei Glamster, ever thought about trying out the Biltwell Gringo? Believe they have a new model now with higher safety rating. Please do. I have a more round oval head and the whistling on the bullitt takes it off my list. Keep up the strong work. Enjoying the videos.
I do want to try the Gringo, it's just been off my list since these were apparently safer, but it's back on!
Biltwell Gringo is heavy AF. Not my first choice.

I can't seem to know which size to get. I have got the Ms. It's not so easy to put it on but once on its alright. It's a bit tight but not so disturbing. But when I get then off, I have the impression my ears will get off.
I have ordered the ML, let's see how it goes.

I'm about to bite the bullet (pun intended) on the AGV X3000. My head's circumference is about 58.5cm, which puts me right between the ML and L sizing.. Which size would you suggest in this case? Thanks!
Thanks!!!! Nice play on words there. My head is 57.75cm. The ML fits me perfect ... not sure what to suggest hahaa. I know the ML was snug when i first got it, maybe you should go for the the L.

is the agv x3000 sizing accurate, I have 57mm head circumference, is the ML size good or should I go with Large, I'm using a Spyder Helmet, and their Large (59cm) actually fits on my head nicely,

I'm still using my AGV fullface helmet from 1978. It's an economy version of the X3000. It's a great helmet.
I have the Bell Bullit and it does whistle but it’s not that bad,love it over the AGV

Thanks for the video - really helpful and well presented. I wear glasses and found this a problem with some helmets. Did you have any issues with the Bell Bullitt and your glasses?
I have a Bullitt (Viva) and have never experienced any whistling at all... I guess it just happens to fit my head perfectly? I know it's a common complaint, but I've honestly never had an issue with it.

AGV with the black and yellow scheme. There was another one I liked very similar but the deal for this on Revzilla was too good to pass up.

I ride a kawasaki ninja 650 abs and its my first year. I wonder if this bell bullit is the right helmet. I really like it. I ask this question because All reviews i checked so far has touring motorcycle and mine is a bit towards sports side.. let me know people
I have the Bullitt and the whistling noise drives me crazy.
I had it already for 4 years and for safety reasons, it is time to change it but I would never consider buying a Bullitt again.

Bell Bullitt's made after mid 2017 have a different liner and are much quieter.
Bought the X3000 for this season and it's really comfortable. My head wouldnt sit right in the Bullit and here in Canada, the AGV was significantly cheaper, so a no brainer really!
As you mentioned, I find it a little bit of windy noise are higher speed but they don't have the top notch noise insolation. Not a deal breaker at all.

The Bell works for me. No whistles, comfortable and I prefer to my Arai.

Glamster for sure! But not sure about the Rapide. Also - just my opinion the Glamster would win with aesthetics. I’m sure trying them on would tell the true story though.

how tall are you? Need to know cuz if your my height i want that bike u riding, looks like perfect fit for your height.
Logo is like the flag italian and like Agostini Italian, AGV lids are synonomous with that logo. My Griso has those colours that sticker is perfect. Each to their own. Helmets of the 70's/80's never had meshed slot vents except Simpson and they are Nascar helmets. Most of these so called retro helmets are retro from 2000 unlike the AGV which is classically styled. I find although the medium large fits my head the large with medium cheek pads fits much better.

Bought my first AGO in 1976!
Bell Bullitt is ECE approved and offers a MIPS version, also has better ventilation than the AGV...which has NONE
My $0.02 cents I'll pay the extra for the ECE Cert, MIPS aaaaand better ventilation.
The Bell also offers removable layers on the cheek inserts for a more adaptable fit, and comes pre-set to accept speakers for a com/bluetooth device...options I don't think are available on the AGV.
The Bell's shell is also Fiberglass on the base Bullitt's and not polycarbonate...so knock for knock the Bell is going to handle impact dispersions better as well as reduce the risk of drastic ICT in a bad accident.
Neither option has much in the way if chin-bar reinforcement making it a weak point in both lids....however; aesthetically and pragmatically the Bell is far and away worth the extra coin.
After watching this comparing, i’d like to go with AGV
