Just a thought for the future, you spun the engine so that we could gear the knocking… then proceeded to both continue talking making it impossible to actually hear what we’re supposed to be listening for. Not exactly a huge deal, especially running on as little sleep ad you were, but something to keep in mind in the future.
Ive done a month long thrash to get a car built for a race and i was delirious at the end. I cant imagine thrashing for months straight for a sema build. You guys are on another level
Jack just slowly going insane from lack of sleep and non-stop work through this lol. Congrats on all the progress and can't wait to see the final form!
I hate to contradict you but you didn’t re-build it…..you BUILT THE FINEST ONE EVER DONE! Your attention to detail FAR EXCEEDED the original build. Well done sir!🙂
I love seeing Jack's dream come true. The amount of work that went into the build is next level. I said it last video. ThIs is a SEMA build! When you have friends stick around and help you put it together says a lot about the guy and the friends. Rest up Jack and Co!
Glad to see the Evo coming all together! Cant wait to hear the engine start up and see how the engine runs especially after the break in oil is done doing its thing and you switch over to the Dominator! I had a good chuckle when you held up the break in fluid to @30:12 !
Love Tavarish, but I'd rather have this Evo than his "P1". It's done cleeeeaaaaan and paying tribute to the manufacturer intent, while amping it up like crazy. Cleanest Evo 8 in the world now, I'd reckon.
The patience for tolerance and working slowly and accurately is a pleasure to watch. Great video as always!!! Cant wait to see this in person in the future, Tour TIME!!!!
At the end of this video you see a bunch of friends thrashing on a car …. Makes it feel like every car guy trying to get his car done late Friday night before a big weekend event 😂😂👍🏻 Jack your close to 100,000 subs dude you deserve it ! That’s awesome
Wow, absolutely awesome Jack! Derek is the Engine Whisperer! Love seeing all the social footage of the car at SEMA but these vids are what we all want to see. Now go sleep 😂
Wow what a build. Crazy that you took this project on knowing that you wanted to make it perfect, so near to SEMA. Would have been nice to have seen you take your time. I’m sure your family would have appreciated it too!
Aloha Jack, you are such a clown...luv it. Man Im bummed I missed you at SEMA. This was my 1st time going and it was kinda overwhelming to say the least. I was able to meet Tavarish and Rex which was awesome. Love your channel braddah!!
Hey man. Without your drive and Freddy in your ear to help nudge you to start this channel I wouldn't be able to follow this build of your dream evo. I got my dream evo last year and unfortunately I don't have the sponsors or other finances to do what you did here. I'm at a point where buying brakes and rotors are months out.😂 That thing is absolutely amazing and I hope that one day mine can be as pristine as yours. Love your attention to detail. Excellent job. Hopefully one day I can get mine to your exceptional level of a creation and then I'll be able to park next to it for a picture. 👍
Hey Jack , where can I find the build videos of the rebuild of the rest of the car ? Axles , running gear , interior etc ? Awesome build, really good attention to detail , amazing work on the underside and bodywork, not many YT builds go that far 👍
jack i wasn't sold as you just showed up kind of out of the blue to the tarv channel but seeing this project get up off the ground and the vision coming to life is pretty exciting, tho wary of the progress cause you could just buy a built car? seeing you drop the cool guy shades and do something detail oriented like a touch up or a parts run really communicated how much of a passion this is. as a fellow car guy well done. looking forward to more.
🎉🎉🎉🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACK @jackbuildsit... 100k and counting... Francois (Cape Town, South Africa) Love. The Lancer. I drive an EvoVIII.... Wish I could rebuild mine to the condition of yours...
I'm really glad you were able to get the bottom end sorted, that should leave a lot of room to breathe (pardon the pun) when it comes time to properly tune it. Cool thing is, you can always take the head back off and get a nice port/polish job for another free 30-50 hp without having to take everything apart. P.S. been waiting for your video to drop before I watched the SEMA special, definitely wanted your take first on things. Congratulations.
Thanks for getting this video out, it seems like you were all under a lot of time pressure but you did it! I love watching your work so will be looking out for any updates on this project and future ones. I hope your eye get's better too, look after yourself!
Job well done Jack I would’ve I would’ve expected you to change the pistons and rods anyway especially with your previous owners flashing engine to bits. Amazing job. Well done with a man. Well done with your car and what a spanking job you’ve done it
That’s a lot of hard work Jack! Congratulations on getting the car to SEMA. I’ll give you a ride when you are ready but will warn you. A sequential Evo changes your life.
Great job!! You could have done with a TD06 turbo and race outlet manifold stainless steel with race turbo elbow stainless steel to reach the power you want!

Hi .. great job .. so well done .. let me know if you be interested in selling the Evo ..

Derek i have worked in many shops/garages over the years and none of them had floors as clean as yours. Wow i am super impressed.
Ive done a month long thrash to get a car built for a race and i was delirious at the end. I cant imagine thrashing for months straight for a sema build. You guys are on another level
Day after my BDay... That's what's up... Dudes a great guy. Glad to have him in the Scorpio circle.
I loved how giddy like a schoolgirl you were when you were at Real Street. Your excitement for this project really shows! Great work Jack!
I love seeing Jack's dream come true. The amount of work that went into the build is next level. I said it last video. ThIs is a SEMA build! When you have friends stick around and help you put it together says a lot about the guy and the friends. Rest up Jack and Co!
As an Aussie, love to see the Mighty Car Mods shirt. Also, just close your eyes and listen to Michael Cera explaining the parts at Real St.

Glad to see the Evo coming all together! Cant wait to hear the engine start up and see how the engine runs especially after the break in oil is done doing its thing and you switch over to the Dominator! I had a good chuckle when you held up the break in fluid to @30:12 !

We have always called it 'little end knock' where the gudgeon pin moves inside the con rod little end or the piston itself.
We need to push this channel guy's shared with the car community and let's get him more views and more subscribers.
Hanz is the man! Always helps me out with my Evo 10 parts
🎉🎉🎉🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACK @jackbuildsit...
100k and counting...
