Hi All! New video just posted! I have a slight correction about what i've mention about the triple fan connector..The Fan connector are only those two big connector ( Black & White), the third smaller white one thats the connector for the LED RGB Lights. It's my bad, apologize.😊
bro scratching the hell outta the heating element
just done this, didn't touch thermal pads. only cleaned fans, heatsink (wash) thn dry with hair dryer. put thermalright paste. temps reduced by like 30c!! so silent and fans dnt even make noise. before it was like jet. 100% gpu usage, overclocked and hot spot 77c, 64c gpu 😂. factory paste are not good. thanks for guide

Were all the stock thermal pads 1.0mm? Do I need to replace them with the same ones or can I take 1.5mm and will that be correct?

Do you think it is the same thermal pad size for 3080?
I'm trying to replace them, should 120x120mm enough to replace all parts?
120mm x 120mm should be sufficient..about the 3080 version, i haven't done the 3080 version on this card yet..but i did research for you, the 3080 version has 2mm on the VRAM and VRM's and 1.5mm on the Backplate side. This info based on other owner has similar card. Make sure to use a Soft pads to easily adopt the gap just in case for gap difference what i gave you and the actual gap on your gpu. Hope this helps. I didn't catch any comments on the memory pads. They were good enough? What thickness do they have, in case one needs to replace them?
And you link to 1.5 mm pads while using 1 mm. Should I use a 0.5 mm thicker pad than is already on the card?
Hello bro! if possible use a 1mm if you could find one..only use thicker as your last resort if there's non available 1mm around, but i don't suggest to use thicker cause that could affect the overall performance..and depends on the quality of the pads as well.

Hello, I was also looking for the answer to the question you asked. Today I opened it and measured it. The large pads in the center are 2mm. All other pads are set at 1mm. I will also buy a 1.5 mm size pad, just in case. Because some of them were out of my reach and they looked like they were damaged so i couldn't take them out and measure them.I wanted to let you know. If you share your e-mail address, I can send the inside of gpu pictures.
Can a 0.5mm or 1mm screwdriver do the job on the backplate
Hi bro! Backplate can be remove using a PHILIP SCREW DRIVER bits size: PH00. Iys a small Philip screw heads.
Hello sir, is this the same process for the 3090 version? I need to replace thermal paste, but I have a doubt, if I replace thermal paste do I need to mandatorily change thermal pads??
Hello bro! To be honest i haven't done the 3090 version on this gpu..and besides 3090 for sure have slightly different pcb layout due to its more power means more parts..i can't give u the correct info at the moment..but i'll try to research those information for you.

bro, if you really want to paint the front Shroud of the color that you want..the best way to do is disassemble it, rub it first with very fine sand paper maybe 1000 to 1200 grit, then spray with PLASTIC PRIMER first for one or two coats then rub again with 1200 grit, then Apply two coats of Acrylic Spray Top coat..that quarantee would last lifetime of your card. if you want Glossy finish..apply the very topcoat with ACRYLIC CLEAR COAT PAINT. Alternatively, you can do it without disassembling it, but the quality of the end result would not as good as the first procedure. and its risky that paint or dust could ruin or goes into the circuit board and that potentially kill your gpu.

I found a 3 kit fans form strix white on aliexpress but the way it plug on its different...
Oh, and, if I do this, (paint without open gpu) you think I will lost warranty?
