Inno3D RTX 3060 Ti Disassembly | Thermal Pads Replacement

The Inno3D RTX 3060 Ti Thermal pad thickness is most likely 1.25 mm for the long narrow strip and 0.75 mm for the other pads. I did not know 1.25 mm pads existed and assumed that the one I measured at 1.19 must have been a 1 mm pad that got clumped up. But it makes sense that the narrow pad is 1.25 mm as the 0.75 mm pad also measured 0.58 mm when it was squashed, so the squash difference is very similar!
And what happens if you use too thick thermal pads and don't apply enough thermal paste? Worse performance as you can see from the image I put in the video. Because of the too thick thermal pads there was hardly any contact with the GPU die.
