- After one of the most epic wheeling trips I've had in a while, I was involved in an accident on the way home that changed everything. The truck was totaled and my passenger and I are lucky to be alive!

One of my biggest fears pulling my jeep is hitting someone and the jeep coming loose and into the truck from behind. So glad your ok! As a non believer, I like hearing you say, let's be respectful about talking about it. I wish everyone was like that. Your beliefs are just that. Yours. What I say isn't gonna sway you, nor you me. But we can still talk, and have an understanding. Again, glad you are all safe!
Absolutely my biggest fear. I actually thought at first that it did come thru and hit me.
And yes, that’s how those conversations SHOULD go. For example I’d love to sit down with a cold beer or some coffee and hear why you don’t believe, and then share why I do believe, and then just talk in general. A respectable conversation of differences, like normal people lol.

I recently bought the same gen y hitch and wife always said why spend so much and I explained this exact reason plus towing reason then I showed her this , had a moment and her response was , I will never complain over the cost of items purchased , your alive today for good reason keep up the good livin and family life
I have been super happy with the hitch! Even before this incident, it’s a game changer.
Not to mention I called them after this incident and they offered me 20% off to replace it.
Being a believer myself and being an avid outdoor activity person myself, is God trying to tell you something? I just got done watching your flatbed video then watched this one. I know for myself, God has brought me to a place of change, at same time moving on from focusing on activities and focusing on what his will is for me. Unfortunately, I didn’t pursue it wish I could say I did, he took me to a place of either leaning on him or playing the victim, aka pursuing drugs, alcohol etc to dull the pain. I chose the word and realized how much energy, time and unneeded stress I used up taking away from him. Just felt led to type this.
I appreciate the word brother. I feel like these were all just unfortunate events, that ultimately gave me the opportunity to glorify God rather than play victim.
We have been on the road for a year. I have shared my faith with so many people in my travels, in a close relational way forming amazing friendships rather they believed or not. However I have not been very open about it on here till recently. I believe God is blessing this platform and wants me to use it to point to Him.
I have, and will continue to seek His will in all of this. If it is His will that I no longer do this, then so be it. But as of yet I have not felt that is the case. I am trying to draw closer to Him, and point more people to Him with this opportunity.

@@TaltonOffroadTraveli got into an accident with my Ram 1500 2016 and my grandma was really sick because she drives bus and the first time we went over Madison St. bridge we were fine buy coming back from Walgreens where we got the thermometer from we were heading back and the car that was behind us was a minivan my dad swerved it and i was in the front seat and my sister was in the back all of sudden i feel a impact and my sisters glasses fell off her face and i said “wtf was that” my dad throws it in park and back in drive and used four wheel drive lock and we got out we heard air deflating and the minivans airbags deployed but the trucks airbags didnt go off but the rear end was junk and she got us in the cab corner left side rear and we had to get 2 new rims and a new rear end used and we used my grandmas car while she was in the hospital and we used it for 3 days while the truck was getting fixed by his co worker and we got it back on a Thursday and that was my accident journey.
I was in accident in 2013 and they told my family she well be luck to live what's scary I had a dream the night before being told not to drive I thought wired but I wish would listened I thinks God want me to slow down I was trying to hide pain being busy but I have faced it head on

I was actually going to go until the truck blew up. I wanted to fly out for a long weekend just for the experience and to grab some good content. But the Kodiak blowing up was a massive setback

God is good. The outcome could have been much worse. Ive experienced a few fatal collisions in my former profession and anytime you walk away from a wreck it's a good thing. I'm sure you'll find a deal on a truck soon.

Im a believer as well. Its rhe little things the Lord blesses me and my family with that add up to the big things. Everything i repeat everything happens for a reason. Glad you and toyr family are ok. I had an 8.1 once and i loved that truck. Loved that it had the allison transmission. Poor fuel economy but pulled everything i had

Yes I loved the Allison trans, the engine braking was great and the low end torque. Would pull any load, just won’t pass a gas station lol.

I've had a couple of people i know have the same kind of ordeal. No wear to go. One ran into his fathers trailer and the other ran into a friends trailer. Glad you have a relationship with God. And glad he helped you return to your family.

It’s been a lot but we are still thankful and healthy!
My dad had a 99 1500 with Z71 4wd, 5.3 Vortec LS, automatic, heated leather seats, extended cab. He got it used with no rust or nothing as a midwest truck. Got totaled back in 07 or 08 by a guy in a Neon falling asleep behind the wheel, went into my dads lane, went right down the passenger side and bounced off the rear tire into the ditch. Was told the guy was out so hard that the guy was woken up by the police afterwards. And that he hit the rear tire so hard the rear was literally ripped out of underneath the truck.

Glad you're ok. I gotvran over at the car wash 2 months ago. Hit and run. Didn't even see him coming. He destroyed the trailer and wrexk the quad. It could have been worse, he could have hit me in the truck!!!

I too would be crushed if something like that happened to my truck. Hard to beat that era of Chevy truck especially with the 8.1L. I'm just glad we all have the choice to believe or not believe in whatever we want. Proud to be an American 🇺🇸
Absolutely! I respect everyone's beliefs. I like to share, and love when they share. I had the most amazing conversation with a Mormon in Utah. We spoke at length for a few weeks about our differences, and are still good friends today! Shoot my best friend is an atheist.

Brother try and use a 2 car length or maybe 3 when towing or just driving with your family. This has saved me many of times.
I was about 4 car lengths back when this happened. There was simply no time and no where to go.
Bad thing is, it’s so hard to keep that distance because people just get in between all the time. People are so oblivious to truckers and people towing on the road, it’s awful.
Ik how your feeling crashed my car a month ago had to put 15k into it to fix the damage because my insurance was to lazy to total it out and i still haven't been able to get the front bumper because they couldn't find one luckly my air bag didn't blow i probably wouldn't be sitting at home rn

Agreed, I do the same thing. I’m always scanning as far ahead as possible. In this case, I saw it all happen but simply had no where to go.
@taltonoffroadtravel yeah that sucks. I also watch behind me as well when traffic slows down... just the other day, a guy slammed into the car behind me. I saw it coming, and like always, I had room in front of me to move up. If I would not have seen it. Then the car behind me would have hit me.

I am a follower of Christ and a reborn Christian. I am so thankful that God opened your heart to him when it was closed and an atheist. Only God can do that. That wasn't a fluke or by chance. That was by design, his design. Thankfully Christ paid it all, by dieing a death we were supposed to die. And what is crazy is he did this before we even knew him. Keep believing and preaching your story in a loving way. This world needs more of it every day! God bless you my brother in Christ and I look forward to the promise Christ gives of eternal life in heaven for believers where there will be no more pain or suffering. This was preventable. You should have been paying more attention to your surroundings and maybe slowed down while towing...

If you had paid attention behind you and in front of you you'd maybe have made an opportunity to prevent this accident.. here's a suggest. Slow down and rethink what happened. You'll learn from this and hopefully become a more successful driver.
I was just in an accident in the rocky mountains of Canada. I went off the mountain 390 ft down the side. But I walked away. My accident was from a mechanic failure, caused by snow, ice, and I'll admit my own stupidity. .

I don’t limit the living God to a certain version of scripture. I don’t mean that arrogant or anything. I hold great respect for the KJV. I study in many versions and refer back to KJV regularly. ESV is usually my go to for reading regularly. But I often look at several version when diving into a specific text
@@TaltonOffroadTravel it’s been proven that other translators have errors but the KJV has no errors. Why use different translations?
@@devengray4898 brother, does it benefit the Kingdom of God for us to disagree about this here? Non-believers see this and laugh that we cannot agree about which version to read. Why not skip the KJV and read it in Hebrew, or Greek?
As I had said I am no perfect example, we travel like nomads and don’t attend church every single Sunday. But we spread the message of the Gospel of Jesus on our journey by getting to know people and sharing what we believe and why we believe it. The power of what Jesus did on the Cross is not limited to one version of the English language 🙏.

This was the gas 8.1 engine. I intend to find another truck just like this one day.

I would like to know why you believe in Christ
I believe that the disciples died for what they knew they saw, which was Jesus alive after his death and burial. They were all told to stop preaching the resurrection of Christ or else. Despite being jailed multiple times they would not stop and were ultimately put to death. Horrible tormented deaths. People do not die for a lie.
Our entire calendar years revolves around BC and AD. There’s plenty of Greek, Roman, and Hebrew secular history that support the evidence of a Jew who claimed to be the son of God who was crucified and then witnessed by over 500 people alive again afterwards.
We still have original hand written manuscripts of the New Testament.
I don’t expect a few points I make to change anyone’s mind, I simply hope they will think about it and look into it a little deeper, search for the truth. If they don’t that’s up to them. I will continue to share what I believe, in a respectful way without shoving it down anyone’s throat.
I used to be an atheist and decided if I was going to claim I was an atheist I’d better have a good reason to. So I studied a bunch to back it up but found the opposite.
I really good book that I recommend for curious people is called “More Than a Carpenter”

Looks like you need many driving classes .rule number one whenever your hauling more than your truck weighs keep plenty of distance cause if you did you wouldn't be boo hoo on here .fkn millennials are you serious you don't even know what pain is period .if there was a God your truck wouldn't be ruined I used to believe I've lost all my faith I've almost really died twice in last 3 months massive bloodclot whole right side 2 surgery first one 7 hours and just had 2nd last Tuesday and can't walk hardly still lights about to get shut off almost outta food and don't know wtf I'm gonna do its just me and my son
