Mike I appreciate the positive comment, That is great you will be moving to Thailand in a couple weeks, I would recommend checking out the different cities in Thailand to see which one you like better. Everyone you talk to will have a different opinion on which city is best in Thailand. I really boils down to what you like and your priorities. When I first came to Thailand I was in Bangkok for 1 month and I do like Bangkok, then I went to visit Pattaya and I found a great condo by the ocean for dirt cheap so I decided to stay in Pattaya for awhile. But I still plan to explore more of Thailand. Thanks for watching:)

Hi Sean, glad to see that you are doing better after having Co-vid. This is an interesting and helpful video about the differences between Patong, Phuket and Pattaya. I would say that you made a great decision to live in Pattaya with your beautiful Condo at a reasonable price with an an Ocean view. I don't like very crowded areas with many people so, from just watching your videos, Pattaya would be my choice as well. With your parking ticket did you have to pay cash in the local currency or could be pay on a credit card? It was probably extra challenging not knowing the local language well to communicate with all involved to get your ticket paid?

Hi Sean, very good comparison of both cities. Historically, Pattaya established itself as a popular destination for soldiers during the Vietnam War in the 1960s where as Phuket started a bit late in the 70s made popular by the backpackers. In infrastructure-wise, Pattaya is more established, but Phuket is catching up as a renowned island resort with international flights arriving from Europe, the Middle East, Aisa, and Eastern Europe including direct flight from Russia. The seas are more beautiful in Phuket but for Night Lifes, Pattaya is the best !

Apple Cider Vinegar with Honey or Maple Syrup or other type of "sweet" or non sweetner at all, for any level of high blood pressure, takes about one (1) to two (2) weeks to see results, will remain normal a life-time if consumed much less thereafter, and, including numerous other Herbal Powders can be consumed once or twice a day-which also provide numerous additional health benefits simultaneously. And the beaches to the south....Sam Roi Yad beach OMG! Like heaven. Hua Hin was just rated by Forbes as one of the top 3 retirement places in the world. Take my word for it, Pattaya has women but so does Hua Hin and a hell of a lot more. I had to leave Pattaya because there was just limited places to go and to difficult to drive in the traffic. Not here! You wont get a condo right on the beach because they only have houses and hotels on the beach basically making the beaches much cleaner. They do have a lot of western style malls and restaurants, but hey they are there if you want them, you dont have to go to them if you dont want. I like the food courts that are much more accessible and the food is cleaner. I felt very unsafe with the food in Pattaya, again not here!@@livebeforeyoudie9984

There are some other considerations to consider Patong has much nicer water cleaner, and the beaches have much nicer sand if you are there for the beach itself, that would be the better choice. However, if you are going there to be with the ladies. Then handsHans down, Pattaya is the place to be.

Hey buddy, Like I always say to youtubers, you do you so I'm not trying to control your content, I just noticed you leave out a pretty serious factor. Pattaya beaches are dirty. The water isn't great either, Every beach I've visited in the Phuket area is awesome. If you are in Phuket, you are a 2 hour drive from Khao Sok, very close to the ferry that takes you to Phi Phi, you can also get a boat or ferry to Krabi. You are right about price and you probably arent wrong about meds and other things because it is considered an island and all islands have a logistic problem. We have a house in Chiangmai, and while I'd rather live on an island, my wife is right about how unrealistic it is because of cost and availability of day to day things.

Younger crowd and people there mainly for short term stay. Especially near Patong. Whereas Pattaya is mainly older people, retirees, long term digital nomads, etc. That’s why it’s cheaper. But if you’re in Phuket, a bit away’s from Patong, it can be cheaper and more relaxed.

They make money from the tourists who pay to see and pet their tigers so they do not need to sell their tigers for medicine. Google does say Thailand tigers are not extinct but the tiger numbers are low and they are always in danger from poachers who do sell them for medicine.
