I just purchased the XL Grill without the probe, but I have a wired probe already. Will it be safe to use it with the XLG? It's a Taylor Digital Probe w/timer, if that helps. Thanks 😁
You're my hero CJ. I wasn't taught how to cook so your recipes using my brand new NFG XL is making my meal time good eatin' and successful. Thanks! Plan to make a small turkey breast for Christmas eve using your recipe...looking forward to it for sure
@@CookingWithCJwhat model ninja FOODI grill do you have because I have the Ninja FG551 Foodi Smart XL 6-in-1 Indoor Grill model is can’t get a full saint Louis style spare ribs in my FOODI grill unless I cut it up too make it fit
No BBQ sauce that's not ribs where do you live you are smart to wrap in foil, I cook mine on a Webber gas grill light one side cook on the other use a smoke tube to add smoke flavor cook 300 degrees for 3 hours wrap in foil for 30 minutes no more or they will be too done and mushy put back on sauce them 1 hour tender and great flavor the smoke makes a big difference but I like how you cook them on that grill 58 been cooking on grills and smokers all my life I like seeing other ways and for what you are cooking on and the way you did it I would say good job put some Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce on at the end and see what you think.
CJ, You've been my go to for everything ninja Foodie XL. Thank you for the time and effort you put in. I already hit the subscribe button as well. One question, Any tips or advice for baby back ribs with dry rub?
Just made this for my family and I’m not sure if I’m glad I did it or not. I’m designated cook for family get togethers now, it’s been decided without my approval. All joking aside, fantastic recipe CJ. Thanks for sharing and I can’t wait to get into the rest of your content.
Hi CJ, I just bought this grill and am looking forward to learning how to use it. Is there a reason you used the grill function at the end, rather than the broil function? Do you have any videos featuring the broil function? Thanks!
I am a newbie with the Ninja Food XL Grill and just found your easy to follow videos. You give me the confidence to try new recipes. Thanks for taking the time to demonstrate easy to follow steps that even a new person can cook like a pro!!
Wow! Didn’t think those ribs would have been done in an hour. Really impressed with this cook! You’re right about Kosmos SPG, also like the Killer honey bee rub. Great cook!
Just what I was looking for, ty! And it would be easy enough afterwards to transfer to a sheet pan, put some bbq on, and broil it for a minute or two to caramelize it
You can do that in the last phase when you remove the foil and switch to grill. I did it with the side facing up first, then did the other side when I flipped it. It came out perfect.
Just got a grill and found your channel. Thanks for all your recipes. I've looked at all your links but can't see that red prep board you are using, what is that handy little thing?
Good Day CJ. I wanted to drop a line and tell you, first, I enjoy your videos. Second, I made your rib recipe in my Ninja Foodie XL (that my wonderful husband brought me for Christmas) AND they turned out...amazing. Perfect for a Super Bowl Game day!!! Thanks.
Have to admit I’ve put barbecue i made myself, forgot the lemon juice will add on before I cook and try this for timings got them marinading. Lovely. Thanks
@@CookingWithCJ I did in the grill, won’t do the extra 5 mins next time , but they were still lovely having the rest with my tea tonight 👏🏻🤣 thanks for the advices. Starting to feel all warm n cheffy🤣🤣😋😋
@Cooking With CJ I just added to ninja collection today that I have the pans and grill xl now I have power blender food processor looking forward to add to my cook style and different wings we just watched
I used baby back ribs, lemon juice (instead of lime), a little water (didn't have stock or broth), and a rib rub I was trying for the 1st time. I had to do in two batches bc the the whole rack would not fit. I cooked the 1st half just as you did in the video. The second batch when i went to grill them I brushed the top with bbq sauce and honey, and then the other side when I flipped them. These are, hands down, the best ribs I've ever made! Thanks for showing us how it's done!
CJ, HEY BUDDY!!! THIS LOOKS DELICIOUS!!!! SAVE ME ONE. I WILL DROP IN BY PERSECUTE. LOL. YOU AND YOUR FAMILY HAVE THE BEST CHRISTMAS!! STAY SAFE!!!! KEEP ON COOKING. MIKE FROM POWELL TENNESSEE.
I'm going to try this tomorrow with a brown sugar rub. Is it possible to use the thermoprobe to automate the baking portion like on the grilling function? I live in an apartment so I usually do these in a crock pot but we just got the foodi and so far im impressed

The ribs we buy here in Va are very long if I cut them in half would I be able to do both pieces at a time one piece would not be enough my husband and son are serious about there eating lol. Keep it going love watching
They look amazing! I can get the tender in the oven with the same foil method but not that golden color. Can I do the same with baby back ribs? Maybe just adjust the time?

BBQ version?
Cook the same way. But at the end, instead of lime, brush on bbq sauce, then grill for a couple more min to set the sauce.

Appreciate it! I would pretty much do it the same way. You have to do a braise in the foil. Then you can use your favorite rub to finish it off.
Even on a full stomach, I was hungry all over again while watching this video, haha. Looks amazing!
Thank you!!
Damn dude...I’m looking forward to using my new Foodie XL now. Looks great brother!

Hi, no real reason, just wanted to grill them. I don’t use it often. Usually grill, bake or air crisp.
Can you give me a good recipe for a large pork loin roast??

Yup, 1st time outa the gate ... perfect. Typically, I slow cook them, then broil them. This is way easier and just as tasty.
Good stuff! Thanks!

CJ just got my Ninla foodi grill as a gift from sister in law can't wait to try your recipe tonight... Thank you..
Thank you!!!
I’ve been watching tons of videos trying to decide on which foodi to get....ahhhh xl or original or the original pro!? Which is your favorite?
Ok here is what I say, if you’re going to grill more than everything, get the XL. If not then go with the original.
Never trust a skinny cook
Word
Which XL grill is this? The 6 in 1?
Yes it’s the 6 in 1.
Thanx u just helped me today for dinner... I looked up ribs on ninja foodie gril nd u popped up
Right on! Thank you!!
Great stuff big guy. Thanks!
I got a Ninja XL Grill as a gift and didn’t know how to use it, but his videos have shown me how to use it and food comes out delicious.

I think you could try it, but make sure the foil is sealed around it. You don’t want to lose the liquid.
Damn brother wifey just gifted me the foodi xl and looking like first thing will be ribs 😋👍
Yes! Good wifey! Lol

Awesome! Thanks!
Do have a recipe for Bbq St. Louis ribs or memphis style which are my favorite
I would do it pretty much the same way. But maybe add Bbq sauce to the braising liquid and then brush on the sauce to finish it.
Those are really great looking ribs. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Cheers, CJ! ✌️🎄🎁⛄
