The fact that they chose to port the mobile versions of the trilogy instead of the OG Xbox versions just goes to show you that Rockstar has no love and care for their products anymore.
I think GTA Online was really really good until the futuristic Saint's Row type trash came in and 9 yr old kids got hands on them. Hell, I do not even consider GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition as a GTA game.

Great video dude. I played a bit of GTA V growing up at a relative's house and really enjoyed it. It sucks Rockstar is prioritizing GTA Online and is putting little effort into bringing back classic titles rather than remaking them. If I have to play a mobile port of San Andreas over a so called "definitive edition" of a game that's a clear problem.
Yes gta online was the downfall of grand theft auto. Like for no real good reason they had to sacrifice single player dlc for gta online and it's a shame because I feel like the single player of gta 5 really could have benefited from well quite frankly ongoing dlc that might last today.

Growing up in the 2000’s my first introduction to gta is playing gta vice in an internet cafe. And thankful my mom bought gta vice city and gta 3 for me to play at our home computer. I’ve spend hours playing those games. Things I’ve noticed in the original gta trilogy all of them have different vibes that is distinct and all connected together. Like in gta 3 its dark and gloomy and gave that creep aspect that other gta games don’t have, for Vice City its very Miami Vice and San Andreas very 90’s action crime drama and has much more cool features. And yes even with the dated graphic and gameplay I still find it entertaining. And now that you mentioned a remake I’m kinda hoping someday Rockstar will do that since the Resident Evil franchise is been booming lately with remakes and I see that could been an opportunity to remake old gta games. Hoping Gta 3 to be the first because its the most outdated one out of the trilogy but kinda curious if they’ll still make Claude mute if ever.
Great video, Zac. It is a shame that GTA, and by extension, Rockstar, have fallen so far. While I fell out of interest with the series years ago, long before GTA Online, it is a shame how much Rockstar botched the definitive edition, while prioritizing Online. Hopefully, Rockstar will shape up soon, but I guess we will have to wait and see if they course-correct or not.
I have a fear that R* is going to hyper focus on graphics and "realism" with GTA 6 and the gameplay/story is going to suck as a result of it. They've already lost literally every person involved with making the epic games of their past, and I also fear they're going to make the typical corporate mistake of "targeting a wider audience" and essentially gutting everything we've known and loved about the GTA franchise. I hope I'm wrong but I have a strong feeling that I'm not.
It's upsetting to see gta constantly milk gta online. I mean I sometimes play gta online It's pretty fun but it can be boring and frustrating at times when one minute your just chilling driving around and then out of nowhere someone just straight up blows you up which is really annoying. GTA V is a pretty good game but I Definitely prefer the story of GTA IV more than GTA V I just think the characters and story in GTA IV felt more realistic and just felt so real that a lot of people would be able to relate to those characters. While the Story of GTA V just leaves me confused at times I still enjoy the story for what it is but I wish it was handled a bit better like GTA IV in my opinion. Obviously GTA IV is my favorite GTA game and my first gta game i ever played so I still enjoy GTA IV for what it is. But hopefully GTA VI will be a step up from GTA V only time will tell. And I feel you on the definitive edition that game completely screws over what made the original Rockstar games titles so good different and unique. Which is so disappointing they would remaster their older games on modern consoles just for a cashgrab that is just disappointing I'm so glad they didn't remastered GTA IV atleast that game lives on as one of the Greatest GTA Games of all time! 💯🔥🔥🔥

I disagree. The GTA Franchise is not on a downfall and it won’t be like that for years to come. The franchise has been growing rapidly throughout the years. GTA V has been in the top 30 most sold games in the world while being almost 9 years old. That is amazing longevity wether people play it for the Online mode or for single player. Yes I do agree that it’s a cash grab but it’s the most successful game Rockstar Games has ever made. The GTA Trilogy while it’s not the best nor the worst I do consider it to be better than the originals.
I get where your coming from, the series is easily at its peak in terms of sales. I’m mainly talking about how the quality of the series has been on a downward spiral
@@zacquinn if you are talking about the quality of the series I agree with you. The Online for GTA 5 for an example. The updates for it has too much heists and too much futuristic stuff. And now it’s filled with drip feeding and adding cutscenes that were originally from the story mode. In terms of the quality of the games they have released we don’t know too much if they lost they’re charm. The last game they made was RDR2 and we all know it’s a masterpiece of a game. It will be very interesting to see what Rockstars approach will be after GTA 6.
The problem with gta & gta5 could have been resolved with 1 simple yet highly affective action. Keep producing gta only in the UK and not let it be acquired by the US
