RDR3 is likely never going to happen, but they might lease the rights to its IP if they ever think its worth it (it's not). And for this reason, considering we're talking business and not fan service... I wish we could go back to games just being focused on a good single player story where you actually feel like it was worth spending £60 on the game. I mostly play old games now because I’m not interested in paying hundreds of pounds over the course of the year on silly micro transactions. I grew up with the old Rockstar with Midnight Club 3, and playing old Rockstar North (originally known as DMA Design) games like GTA 3, VC, VCS, and LCS.
As a 60 year old gamer I’ve seen a lot of games come and go. I agree that Rockstar has turned into an Activision and EA!!! I remember Midnight Club vividly oh the fun I had racing through the cities in different vehicles….
I feel like this is the majority of game dev studios now, just shells of their former selves, rehashing or remastering old products while making half finished and broken games that cost $60 with lazily made cosmetics locked behind micro-transactions. It's really sad

There's a problem I have with rockstar that I've never seen anyone talk about, but basically I think they're making their games really easy on purpose so that it has a bigger player base. In rdr1-2010, GTA4-2008 and GTA5-2013, you actually need to try. If you're in a gunfight in these games, it's very easy to die and you genuinely need to properly try in order to survive a shootout which makes it feel rewarding. However in their newest game rdr2, you don't need to try in shootouts at all, it's so ridiculously easy to survive stuff and it does not feel rewarding one single bit

The fault is of the people buying shark cards, buying gta 5 for ps4 and ps5, and who complain but keep playing gta online. Rockstar is simply doing what's best for business. Why they should spend money and resources on new projects or high quality remastered games when a single 10 years old game and its online is still making them earn so much money and all they have to do is release a few small updates now and then and port it on new consoles? We will never have gta 6 at this pace simply because Rockstar feels no urgency to release a new gta game with such an old one that is still making them so much money. If more people had done like me and had buy gta 5 only for ps3 when it first released and played the online now and then without making it become such a big deal I can assure you we would have gotten a gta 5 story dlc a couple of years at most after gta 5 and gta 6 would have been out already by now.

You most likely used the glitch where you customize a random car and then steal a police car and submerge it in water before switching and re-switching characters, but the paint never changes, only certain body modifications are made.

Development studios seeing money signs in their eyes when they look at their successful gaming product corrupts their creative mind and focuses on making money from the 1 game. There's 3 unnecessary contents and choices R* did in gta online that we seriously didn't ask for. 3, lots of updates on gta online when they could've been used in gta 6 2, the removal of the last gen profile after importing it to current, ps3 and 360 still had their progression after importing it to the next gen while the last gen gets removed and you can't play with your friends unless they own the current gen with lots of money, weapons and vehicles that jelp make the large money. And 1, GTA+. Do we really want a paid subscription on a full priced game that hasn't had that for 10 years. These are 3 reasons on gta online alone that's unnecessary that we fans didn't want to happen.

Tbh, am keeping my expectation so low for this greedy company. Rockstar Games were so good in the 2000s era releasing games after games every year. I pretty much liked all of Rockstar Games cause they were so so good to play. For eg: GTA 3, VC, SanAndreas, VCS, LCS, Advance, Chinatown Wars, GTA IV & Episodes Of Liberty City and so many other great games like Bully, The Warriors, Manhunt, Midnight Club series, Max Payne series, Red Dead Revolver, L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption etc. As I told you, all of those games were a masterpieces. Their single player has so much depth and quality and it took them always less than a year to make those games. As gaming progresses, the greed progresses much faster than gaming. GTA 5 came and everyone loved it and as usual, they earned a lot more money than their past games. But after gta online came, i didn't like it but in 2014, i haven't even saw any new single player games releasing but i did keep my expectation a bit high cause they promised that they would release DLCs like the GTA IV. But yeh, after that Red Dead Redemption 2 came. I quiet loved it. The story was a masterpiece but I still didn't like that they never continued making any more single player games after GTA V Online. I blame GTA Online for the fall of Rockstar Games. If GTA online wouldn't have existed, we would've got plenty of good games every year. For me I don't give a crap about 1000+ details. I wish we could go back to games just being focused on a good single player story where you actually feel like it was worth spending £60 on the game. I mostly play old games now because I’m not interested in paying hundreds of pounds over the course of the year on silly micro transactions. The fact that single player campaign isn’t even part of call of duty at launch any more is disgusting.

I grew up with the old Rockstar with Midnight Club 3, and playing old Rockstar North (originally known as DMA Design) games like GTA 3, VC, VCS, and LCS.
I loved Lemmings on the Amiga, so much so that I bought Lemmings 3D for the Playstation (which was not very good).
I also played 3, VC, SA and was blown away when I played 4 but then disappointed with 5 and now hate the defective trilogy.
For 387 subs, this is a pretty high quality video I must say. I sat through the whole thing.

The problem isn’t rockstar. The problem is all of you who continue to buy these AAA games year after year and expect anything different. They don’t care about their legacy in the gaming world, they don’t care about the game impacting your life. They only care about whether or not they can get your money. And as time shows again and again, they don’t need to do much to get your dollar.

About the censorship, the gore in the defective editions was toned down, the removal of the confederate flag in Vice City and San Andreas, and the removal of a joke from GTA 5 because it was deemed “transphobic”(despite not being about trans people to begin with).
the only way to support this kind Rockstar is to not buy any of their future products, even if it is supposedly good. or alternatively, you can buy just the pure game on their original/initial platform(s) without any intention on buying the remasters or remakes unless the next proper sequel has been released.

There's a problem I have with rockstar that I've never seen anyone talk about, but basically I think they're making their games really easy on purpose so that it has a bigger player base. In rdr1-2010, GTA4-2008 and GTA5-2013, you actually need to try. If you're in a gunfight in these games, it's very easy to die and you genuinely need to properly try in order to survive a shootout which makes it feel rewarding. However in their newest game rdr2, you don't need to try in shootouts at all, it's so ridiculously easy to survive stuff and it does not feel rewarding one single bit

The fault is of the people buying shark cards, buying gta 5 for ps4 and ps5, and who complain but keep playing gta online. Rockstar is simply doing what's best for business. Why they should spend money and resources on new projects or high quality remastered games when a single 10 years old game and its online is still making them earn so much money and all they have to do is release a few small updates now and then and port it on new consoles? We will never have gta 6 at this pace simply because Rockstar feels no urgency to release a new gta game with such an old one that is still making them so much money. If more people had done like me and had buy gta 5 only for ps3 when it first released and played the online now and then without making it become such a big deal I can assure you we would have gotten a gta 5 story dlc a couple of years at most after gta 5 and gta 6 would have been out already by now.

You most likely used the glitch where you customize a random car and then steal a police car and submerge it in water before switching and re-switching characters, but the paint never changes, only certain body modifications are made.

There's 3 unnecessary contents and choices R* did in gta online that we seriously didn't ask for.
3, lots of updates on gta online when they could've been used in gta 6
2, the removal of the last gen profile after importing it to current, ps3 and 360 still had their progression after importing it to the next gen while the last gen gets removed and you can't play with your friends unless they own the current gen with lots of money, weapons and vehicles that jelp make the large money.
And 1, GTA+.
Do we really want a paid subscription on a full priced game that hasn't had that for 10 years.

Okay I'm going out on a limb here. I never play online games, so it doesn't apply to me, but it makes no sense to spend real money for virtual money to buy virtual items. Just plain foolish.

Also I very seriously doubt i will be getting the next Gen systems, the PS5 is my last Playstation and at the moment I have no need for a Xbox series X. Rdr2 was worth $60 as a single player game. And I knew red dead online would be absolutely designed to suck your wallet dry. But I had no idea how bad. It was the most grindey game on the planet. With literally almost nothing to actually do. Then they just abandon it. That was the final nail ok the coffin. I never played red dead one. And although I want to. I never will. Im not giving rockstar another penny ever again. No red dead port, no gta 6. Hell I dont care if they remaster the warriors (which they literally never will) i still wouldn’t buy it. Like EA, rockstar is completely, no questions asked banned from ever getting a penny of my money again.

Tbh, am keeping my expectation so low for this greedy company. Rockstar Games were so good in the 2000s era releasing games after games every year. I pretty much liked all of Rockstar Games cause they were so so good to play. For eg: GTA 3, VC, SanAndreas, VCS, LCS, Advance, Chinatown Wars, GTA IV & Episodes Of Liberty City and so many other great games like Bully, The Warriors, Manhunt, Midnight Club series, Max Payne series, Red Dead Revolver, L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption etc.
As I told you, all of those games were a masterpieces. Their single player has so much depth and quality and it took them always less than a year to make those games.
As gaming progresses, the greed progresses much faster than gaming.
GTA 5 came and everyone loved it and as usual, they earned a lot more money than their past games. But after gta online came, i didn't like it but in 2014, i haven't even saw any new single player games releasing but i did keep my expectation a bit high cause they promised that they would release DLCs like the GTA IV. But yeh, after that Red Dead Redemption 2 came. I quiet loved it. The story was a masterpiece but I still didn't like that they never continued making any more single player games after GTA V Online.
I blame GTA Online for the fall of Rockstar Games. If GTA online wouldn't have existed, we would've got plenty of good games every year.
For me I don't give a crap about 1000+ details. I just wanna enjoy the good story mode and roam around the city like other games.

I grew up with GTA and Midnight Club, but as of today, I prefer Red Dead Redemption! I bought a ps4 in 2018 just to play RDR2….never played RDR1, I missed the whole 360/PS3 era…. Making up for it now, got the RDR1/Undead Nightmare $50 port which disappointed me but it’s the only way I can play on my ps5, I have an Xbox but it’s the series s and I just like the PS5 With disc drive better
