i’m taking 8-2 mg of suboxone 3 x a day! 24 mg a day. i have been taking this for years. is this to much?

Trying to get off fentanyl. 2 mg of subs gives me a crazy amount of energy. Like I have to walk it off. Then 1.5 hours after I get super anxiety and shaky. Which makes me have to use again

I went through cold turkery and it was hell. I wad on 12 mg/ day and my doc always talked about tapering and all thst but bot everyone is that disciplined and that is the main reason why we are addicts so i decided i cannot be handcuffed to the drug my entire life i have a baby boy and my wife to take care of. Im one week in and now im starting to feel a little bit better.

Going through that right now actually I start my ODF program tomorrow on 2 mg Suboxone going to strips to drop the dose. Thanks 🙏🏼 was feeling anxious not knowing.

Kratom has absolutely wrecked my health. I’m 30 years old I had very minimal health problems before. Now after being on it for years, I have Gerd big time major reflux. My esophagus has to be stretched, stomach ulcers, random flareups of pancreatitis. My prolactin level is through the roof. I now have to see an endocrinologist and get an MRI to find out if I have a pituitary tumor because all of my other hormone levels are normal however, as a woman it messed up my hormones. My cycle is upside down 24 seven. The constant up and down between dosing is exhausting. I have made the conscious decision to get on a week or twos worth of Suboxone per clinic just so I can get on the Sublocade injection and be done as soon as I can. My best friend who was also Kratom dependent did exactly that with the same doctor and now has not had her last injection in 11 months. She only took one. I know everyone is different but I cannot have this chaos in my life. We own a great business and I am a mom I can’t be sick and laid up anymore when I stop. I refuse to be on the train of kratom anymore. I’m done as of next Tuesday! I haven’t done dope or drank in 9 years next month, I had no idea Kratom could do this. I started it for pain. Wish I never would have. Keep making these videos there are not enough informative ones out there!

Careful with suboxone. Not communicated enough how strong of an opiate it is. For reference a 30mg oxycodone pill is 45mg oral morphine equivalents. An 8 mg subutex is 240mg oral morphine equivalents. - a pharmacist

Kratom to suboxone? Thats like quiting coffee using methamphetamine. Im a pharmacist btw. Just look at how many MME buprenorphine is. The 8mg subutex is the strogest single dose opiate product at my pharmacy, way stronger than oxycontin 80

It’s really fucked because if you have a job like me along with a tianeptine addiction you are stuck in the cycle. It’s so bad that when you try to quit, even suboxone will not subside the withdrawal symptoms. To anyone who hasn’t used it and are thinking about doing it run for your lives literally.

I'm REALLY wanting to get off this medicine so bad.. especially since I've been diagnosed with Acute Opioid Hypersensitivity. I'ts ROUGH. I hurt just 4-6 hours after my last dose while still taking the Suboxone.. I'm down to .75mg but the pain is just everlasting regardless 😢. Any pointers for someone in my position?

I have had ten years of sobriety but recently messed up and need advice. The dope or fentanyl or whatever it is last use yesterday at noon. It’s now 7 am and I’m in bad withdrawal but don’t want to start my sub till I know I won’t go into precipitated. How many hours should I suffer before starting? When I got clean a decade ago I was sent into precip and DO NOT wanna do that again. Any advice would be appreciated

Kratom kills my appetite so I dnt eat and haven’t lifted weights in a year and I am SO weak now, my hair is thinner, I have to use enemas whenever I go #2, and my anxiety is through the roof. I just want to get out this mess. I asked a few doctors can they help me and they didn’t even know what Kratom is therefore couldn’t help. My plan is to get some Norco or oxy and take the minimal amount of that the first 2 days to get me through without Kratom. I withdraw from Kratom 3 years ago but it wasn’t bad, 4 days of tiredness but I was only taking Kratom a week that time. I tried 4 times to quit recently and could only ever get through one day and by 11pm I would take Kratom . The struggle is real. I NEED HELP . I can’t do this by myself!!!!!!

I just gave birth on the 23rd of this month at 1:47 a.m.. a baby boy… I’m prescribed 16 mg of sub a day. He is in the Nicu atm having a rough time 😢

My doctor refuses to take me off or even help me get off

Cut your last milligram into quarters and spread them throughout the day for a week or month. Whatever you're comfort with. That way you get your whole milligram for the day. Then remove a quarter and take them 3 times a day, which is once every 8 hours for a week or month again. Then twice a day, once every twelve hours. Then when you get down to taking it once a day, take it 3 hours before bedtime to prevent Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS). Then if you can cut that in half ,to and eighth, every 24 hours or starts spacing out the quarter for longer than 24 hours at a time in 6 to 12 hour increments. Most importantly when you are done, always keep a quarter laying nearby. In case RSL kicks in and only use it in case of that. It takes one quarter an hour to stop RLS for me to sleep.

Been on Suboxone for 7 years. It ruined my life. They should only use it to come off heroin for a for a week then stop. You will be a prisoner for the rest of your life and it's very hard on your body and it does not help with my pain. It's all about money and big pharma and have to change your mind, your emotions and attitudes. Your whole thinking process has to be rewired

I have debilitating chronic fatigue and find Suboxone really helps with it. I’m tapering off, but I’m worried about the chronic fatigue once I’m off it. I’m supposed to be taking 3 mg a day but sometimes double my dose if I need to do something otherwise I just can’t function because I’m so tired.

Heroin is a 7 day withdrawl same with fentynal suboxone is 1 month- 6 months of lingering withdrawls. An their just as bad if not worse than. Wow to start off at 24mg is crazy, I think 8 is bad I can’t imagine 24 or 16 .

In my experience microdosing doesn't cover enough and it leads to longer lasting withdrawals. Mileage as always varies.

24 hours?! I have withdrawals within 4 to 6 hours! I take .75mg a day and have taken this amount daily for about 2 weeks. Thing is, when I was on 1mg a day, 2mg a day and up, I was still having withdrawals within 4 to 6 hours of the last dose. I'm so confused.

Down to 2mg and I crash hard sometimes. When I say crash I have severe leg cramps and just feel so sluggish. At times I’m not sure if it’s because of my Suboxone I can take a little more and feel so much better. I’m going to get thru this. I’m desperate to feel normal again!

Hey doc I recently slipped up after having 9 years clean I used for about a year I got hurt and thought gave me perks and got up to about 100 mg switch to Suboxone I'm on stable 6 mg for the last week but I want to come off them quickly what is your suggestion

Don't rush it, guys. Most ppl who want off Suboxone really quick is b/c some jerk in NA told them they need to or they're not clean. They likely have never come off suboxone themselves and do not know what it's like. If they have, more power to them. However, NA people do not have your best interests in mind when it comes to Suboxone. It's your life at stake, not theirs. If something happens to you guess what? They won't be there for your friends and family they'll say "Oh they didn't want it enough" and move on with their lives. It's sick.

Also, if you ever come off it for at least 2-3 weeks, and want to go back on it, go back on it at 2mg. No higher your tolerance will be low enough to be able to tolerate this low dose. This way, you'll be able to easily taper back down to zero if you decide to again. Don't taper or get off it b/c some jerk in NA told you to. Those ppl are the worst when it comes to suboxone. But ya I've made that mistake got off for a month then went back on at 16/day, bad idea.

Unless it's an emergency and you need to come off it maybe b/c your getting locked up soon or something, the proper taper is as follows (Once a Month for each taper): 16 to 12mg immediately 12 to 10 10 to 8 8 to 6 6 to 4 4 to 3 3 to 2 2 to 1.5 1.5 to 1 1 to 0.75 0.75 to 0.5 0.5 to 0.25 0.25 to 0.125 Jump

I just got my third shot , first 100mg shot. But my last 300mg shot is still there and it’s pretty big. Even my first 300mg shot is still there, it’s tiny tho. But yeah I think the residual helps transition to the 100mg

Naloxone isnt bioavailable sublingual. So this doctor is uninformed or miseducated.
