    As a young man sometimes we think we know everything and have to much pride to ask for advice. It doesnt show weakness or inability when you ask someone who knows, it shows strength and an eagerness to learn. Keep on teachin us young guys buckin!

      On the other end as a young man we can sometimes feel like we don't know what we need, most of the time it's true, ALWAYS ask for help when you need it, all you've got to lose is inexperience and the what you gain is the experience.

    Really cool buckin. So cool to see a man that's top of his profession stop and take the time to help a young man in the way you did. Not just answering questions but physically showing talking it out. Putting what they did in the wood seeing and feeling the results. Jordan will never forget that. Ever. Well done. Very well done.

    Your so so right about learning. I remember one time on a average day I was running sawmill, this guy came up in the saw cab he did not say to much then he started telling my why dont ya rotate this log such a way as to go under neatly this not , not the way I was doing it. I hate to admit it the guy was right. I learned that ya can do something wrong for a long time. Ever since that day I always knew i.could learn something every day , no matter how mutch of a legend in my own mind I thought I was. Love wins.

I help my 3 neighbors cut fire wood and they can't believe how good my poulin 3700 counter vibe cuts. thank you

    Great job Buckin! Hey Jordan! Glad that you found the raker gauge! You want the new Hyway titan-nickasil 52mm topend for that 372... it takes them from a 70.5cc saw to 77.5cc that’s what you just felt in the iron horse saw ... plus it’s got a nice little logger porting on it! 😂👍. It gives that additional yank so that they don’t stall out when they hook up!!! Stay safe... if you need any saw help I’m in the US... 👍😁

    So nice to hear that your family has been in the same place for so long. My dad's family arrived in Tas about 1820, Makes my children seventh gen I think. The Palawa and other Australian first nations people here refer to it as "Spirit of place". My people (as a generalisation, not in any specific way that I am aware of) did some horrific stuff here. My point, If I 'feel ties like the iron chains to this place' (like some of my ancestors wore when they arrived), what must they feel? Now I think I see your connection to your home and its trees and your respect for these things and your land's peoples. Kudos.

    • @nickabbott6278
      @nickabbott6278 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      OF, that came across so poorly, in that I am not aware of any specific incidents that my forebears were involved in. That doesn't mean that I, oh, crap, my post was meant to respect the traditional owners of our land and to say that the depth offering I have for this place after 20 years must be nothing to their spirit of place.
      Listening and patience . Sorry

If it's a felt type it's probably OK, but a paper filter no , it will dry and plug up where if you started I with the filter off , and the put it on while it was running it would kill the engine, I've done it on a customer's!!!!! But anyway an awesome video and as always informative. And Iron horses saw SWEET !!!!!!!

    file right rakers from the left left rakers from the right just like filen the chain and flip carlton plate per side. they are an excellent tool . you can use them for filen the cutters but i always push down to hard and will dull your file . . the carb had either a leaky belch plug or like u said just worn out im thinken Thanks Excellent job we need to teach the young ones no dought. . we found out alot of times the hardway. lol

    Buckin have you ever tried using semi chisel chain or do you always use full chisel. I had one of the old saw shop guys have me try it because I tend to skid them to the road for firewood. I was wondering because I seem to sharpen the full better than the semi and it just throws bigger chips. Thanks for showing us younger guys some tips!!

    • @tjlovesrachel
      @tjlovesrachel 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah semi chisel is better for “dirty” wood… it holds an edge better in dirty wood than full chisel…. But full chisel cuts faster but dulls quicker and In my opinion it does sharpen better and easier
