You did a great job editing this one gb, one note about the reflector setup is its actually pretty limiting in how far you can look before the hat starts blocking them. Also real men just use a ps4 controller and right stick to look smh
haha the good old PS4 controller! But on another note, I found the pro clip to be pretty similar in terms of limit. But I also think it heavily depends on how far you sit away and how sensitive you set it. With my current sensitivity I could easily rotate my ingame head 3 times before I reach the tracking limit xD
@@GoodboiOfficial lol, for me i had to set the camera up above my monitor a bit to be able to loook up fully, and i set mine to just barebe able to look past 180 lol
I ve always played in sim with track ir, and it s perfect for me. Never had problems, with the exception that you must not have light sources directly behind you.
I've been playing sim with opentrack and aitrack for 1 and a bit years now, it is perfect i recently bought trackir with the proclip add on and honestly opentrack and aitrack is just as good if not better in some cases the points you have against it ive never experienced at all; im using a r5 5500 a pretty low end cpu and it does not affect my performance. The tracking accuracy without a light source is perfectly fine and the input delay is almost exactly the same as trackir i tested it, trackir had an average delay of 22ms and opentrack + aitrack had a delay 31ms literally unnoticeable difference, good vid otherwise.
the latency you experience with opentrack will heavily depend on other factors as well (like the camera you use, its fps etc.) I also used opentrack a lot before I got my hands on trackir and I didn't like the latency and accuracy (using an elgato Facecam as the camera). You do still need some light source. If you are close enough to your monitor that it lights up your face, that might be fine, but I am not x) Or maybe my monitor is just not bright enough :)
@@GoodboiOfficial im only using a 1080p 60fps camera and i sit an arms length away with no external lighting outside a window to my right but even then a simple lamp in the same room is more then enough for being free (camera not included) its 100% worth it over the other options imo
how does this help when your monitor is in a fixed position, unless you have monitors that wrap all the way around you then the angle that you can track is very small because you can only turn your head so far before you are not even looking at the monitor anymore? I'm genuinely curious and would like to get a system like this but i cant justify spending thousands to either upgrade my pc to handle VR or buy those crazy expensive curved monitors to wrap around.
Hey, the tracker amplifies your movement, so a slight tilt of your head is enough to turn your head ingame, so it works great with a single fixed monitor. (you can also adjust by how much this is amplified)
@@GoodboiOfficial ahhhh, makes sense, is it difficult to line up your head perfecly with that high sensitivity? i feel like it would take some getting used to to be able to line it up properly. i might have to pick myself up a set, thanks for the great vid :)

How does this work? If your looking at a 2d screen and your turn your head to the side wouldn't that be incredibly awkward as you're now looking away from the monitor?
it amplifies the movement. You look away by just a couple of degrees (where its still comfortable look at the screen) and the head movement ingame is higher :)
But you need to spend some time adjusting sensitivity. As for VR, you don't need to bother with sensitivity nor with aiming in shooters because is already perfect other than tracking quality of the device

Anyways great good video and keep up the awesome work.
review is good but there are other alternatives for vr like the quest 2 wich you can get for less than 200 dollars my close friend got one for 120 euro with 128 gb or the quest 3s wich is 300 euro and is almost identical to the quest 3 except in its lenses and some other minor features
In terms of connecting the Quest 3 to PC, Steam Link released a while ago, is free and is a fair bit better than the Meta alternative. Virtual Desktop is still the best option but obviously comes at the aforementioned cost.
I've had the Quest 3 for a little while, I don't see the need for alternatives to the Meta software, you can actually go very deep in the settings when using the debug tools
