I can't thank you enough for this. My baby is 15, can't really walk or get up anymore- hip dysplasia, can't see as well, hear as well. I lift him myself. He just needs physical help. He still has so much zest for life. So now I'm shopping for wheels. Husband built a ramp. Anyway, he gets roasts every day, and will practically knock himself out he's so happy to eat. Thank you ❤

I am so interested in this course. Have struggled so hard with my dogs to get them the best care and it not being available in my area.

What about cancer? One of our Labs had cancer in her speen and we were (warned by the vet) not to let the spleen burst on her own as it would be very painful for her and in need immediate emergency response. She was sleeping a lot but otherwise eating and more or less normal. I was so torn....so I let her go to prevent future pain. Another deer lab had a large tumor that was preventing her from being able to poop. It's so darn hard for an average person to know. I appreciate this video because I need help in these decisions.

Bless you for sharing this. I took my little 16year old yorkie in today for kidney failure. The vet told me it's time to put her down but didn't even offer any other options like a blood test. I just couldn't do it. The vet made me feel like I was being so selfish. I'm distraught. Thank you for sharing all of your wisdom. 🙏

I’m so with you on this. Every time I say to my vet I’m so worried about the quality life of my dog who has chf’s they jump to and say that euthanasia is an option. And I immediately get upset and say that is the opposite of what I’m here for. I want help in giving her a better life now. It bothers me that they are so quick to suggest it. 😢

Our 15 mutt (16 at Christmas), hasn't been eating or drinking much at all for almost two weeks now. His hips and knees are issues for him, but he can still get up and down our few steps to go out. He mostly stands when he's outside, not venturing around the yard much. Of course he's sleeping most of the time. We had a vet appointment about 4 weeks ago. Jackson was due a couple of vaccines, but our vet said we should pass on them.
We've been trying all kinds of food to help keep calories going into him. Canned food, baby food, chicken, tuna, Ensure, etc. etc. He's always been about 50lb. At the vets, he weighed in at about 40. I can tell he's less than that now, getting thin and bony.
We have "the appointment" two days from now. We are cherishing each moment we still have with him.
I opened your video seeking something we might have overlooked or some revelation.
What I got was that in our situation we would know when the time is right. My wife and I both hate letting him go. But over the last few days we're realizing that Jackson is ready to leave.
    Thank You

I also wonder about the slow killers like cancer. My dog has osteo sarcoma and I am trying the holistic with conventional with a team of vets from Prism health and conventional oncology. I have to say I am torn as well and of course agree that they should go on their own. But how do we know if we are managing pain appropriately , how do we know if they are actually being kept comfortable when we have done and exhausted every other means of treatments. This is heart wrenching and I want her to have the most of quality of life. I have been an ER nurse and ICU nurse for over 20 years combined and have watched the excruciating pain of cancer and the lingering that is involved and have had patients beg to be released from their pain. This is an enormously burdensome decision with your fur baby and I truly don’t want to make it. Thankyou for your video

There is more to it than pain, breathing or seizures. Quality of life is a huge factor. Are there more bad days than good? Does the pet have any joy? Mine had a brain tumor for 17 months.. On prednisone. Was acceptable for most of that but then it nose dived. For 25 days.. Pacing 18 hours a day no matter what.. Only sleeping when forced to lie down by holding and then passing out but only for a hour or two.. Going into corners and not knowing how to back up. Loss of potty training. Very little interaction. Not eating well to the point of emaciation. Deaf and one eye not working well. Poor balance.. Weak. On and on. but no pain or very little. Breathing fine and no seizures.. Even with all that and more.. I did not want to euthanize. Must be more I can do. And I know I did everything. Helping him in any way possible. Lifting up stairs or off couch or hand feeding.. etc. I feel extreme guilt for putting him down but my intellect knows he was suffering mentally. Existing is no life. So things may not be cut and dry. I always thought it would be if he was actually dying.. but sickness can come well before that. So I'll say again. Quality of life is everything. They must have some semblance of enjoyment in whatever form. If that goes. Then it's time.

My dog was recently diagnosed with IMHA and IMT. I know there are treatments but I'm running out of money. I feel awful saying it but I don't think my dog will survive this because the treatment is so expensive and her insurance maxed out. She's not even 16 months old.

The sad thing is people want to be able to help their pet with all those different modalities but it's beyond expensive!!! Most people can't afford it. The prices are ridiculous for all the supplements, vet or holistic vet visits, acupuncture, chiropractor, laser therapy etc. These are all amazing ways to help our pets but you talk like money is no object. Recently you added the pancreatitis course with Steve Mardsen but come on $150!! Most people who love their pets don't have that for just a course then who knows how much extra money for all the supplements etc you guys are having us buy. The courses should be free because you or the speaker are going to have the supplements or whatever you're selling on your website and make money off that.
