I took Nadine and Simones oline FRIDA class and I don't even have dogs with separation anxiety. So yes I strongly feel their program should be available in English too!
I can tell you it works!!! Last week we took our 3 year old rescue dog for the first time on a busride. He had never seen it before. At the agitated moments I could distract him with IYC etc. It was a fabulous experience after 1 year of Recallers!🎉
Thanks for another opportunity to lear, Susan!! My 2 year old, Poppy was a reactive barker when she was younger. With the help of you, your team and my favorite podcast, “ The Thing Before the Thing”, she has come far and I no longer consider her an overly vocal dog. With a lot of consistency, Poppy no longer barks at people and dogs, walking by our window, or yard. She woofs once when there is someone at the door and hops on her bed. At the time, it was hard to think we would have come so far, but here we are. I am so proud of Poppy and very grateful for you and your team! Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤️🐕🦺❤️
Looking pretty in pink 🩷 today. Brilliant podcast as usual. Thanks, as always, for sharing your knowledge. Stone thing really made me laugh 🤣. My son, when he was a toddler, had a stone (that he painted), it went everywhere....even had a bed! 😂Taking care of that stone, was very high maintenance, I can tell you! 😂 Thank goodness it was a short lived phase 😂😂
Oh I'd love to know more about food puzzles. My super smart mini Aussie gets them so quickly! Does it worth it to invest in many? Also: my dog barks when the neighbours open their door on our condo, or if there's someone at the hall (not even knocking our doors, it stars before that). What wold the protocol be? It's hard to manipulate the environment in that case...
23:42 please please, my McNabb Herding Dog is very excitable when I start my John Deer Gator to drive down to the barn. Barks the whole way, I’ve tried using her favorite toy which muddles the bark lol. Whenever someone comes into house or barn she is all over them, she respects collar grab, her kennel, hot zone is a tough one for her to maintain while there are guests, alone with me she is great. She also grabs my Rottis collar, who is so patient with her, and tries to tug, this one I break up immediately but it’s been going on forever. I do have her in agility and she LOVES it! We are up to 6 poles going onto 8. Big thanks for your help & being there for all us dog training dummies! lol xoxo❤
Oh my goodness Susan Garrett I get so so motivated by your podcasts thank you. I've gone through HSD and CG really want to do recallers. Me and my dog Bob get so motivated with these games then we get confident then we get blase then I watch more dogs that/ say yes podcasts and the cycle repeats. I'm a dog walker. I love my job and I love all the dogs I walk I'm constantly bigging up say yes podcasts and encouraging my customers to join in. Thank you. This one in particular has been brilliant!!!!! What am I saying they are all Gold dust
A very relaxing and enjoyable podcast. Thanks to crate games re - introduction, my dogs have not done any long term barking inside the apartment.(my last comment described my getting a calk from animal control) The idea that my housing and/ or my legal ability to continue having the dogs,(not from animal control, completely self imposed as I tend to think what is the worse case scenario). Anyway I was given the benefit fit of the situation because Animal Control received another complaint from same upstairs neighbor during a period of time that both dogs and I were not home. So, I'm using the time wisely I have had others come to the entries when I'm not there, to see if the dogs bark, I'm playing crate games, reinforcing out quiet cues etc. All has been quiet, so I still firmly believe the 12am - 5am random loud noises triggered the dog, and I do want them sounding off when that happens. I can happily report getting another call from animal control yesterday. She's been spying on us and our apartment building and wanted to let me know she has not yet heard one peep from the dogs and is dismissing the matter. At the same time a notation about her findings and her opinion of the complainer will remain on record so if/when he calls again and the police respond they will see a record of his false reporting and her not finding there is ever been a problem. I do like this idea of the "speak" command and having the dogs continue barking until you give the permission to stop. It sounds as if this will help me if they crescendo from triggered excitement at inappropriate times. Great info, looking forward to the next episode! Thank you.💖🐾😊
Congrats on 100k podcasts🎉🥳 so many more of the wisdom to be shaped/shared... Peanut is 2 yo and as I was listening, I clicked where and when I reinforced him to bark 😢 Before I knew about you Susan, I listened to another dog trainer 🫣 many mistakes later, still trying to fix them all... 😮💨 Unfortunately, I didn't discover mighty Susan Garrett in time, I'm so glad I did 🤗 really appreciate every podcast, every online course, every bit of free advice you give away to help people and our beloved 🐕 You truly mighty Susan Garrett+your team
congratulations on 100 K subscribers🎉so well deserved❣️. I am almost through all of the podcasts my eight month old puppy and I are in recallers and crate games, and could not be more thankful for all the information we have learned from you! My older dog is a barker like you said doing his job and we have found using your words we heard in past podcasts “Enough” in a nice tone, has worked well for calling him off the job! thank you so much for all you share … you and your team are very much appreciated😊 kim
Awesome podcast and great timing! I have been working with my mildly reactive puppy who has some barrier frustration since we first got him and Recallers has really helped us out. We’ve been doing a lot of crate games, relaxation, and other games that you’ve suggested now I’m ready to bring crate games into our agility class. until now, I’ve been crating him in my car and he’s really comfortable with that. The problem is when I go to get him or put him back, I’m missing what my teacher is explaining, So it’s been a Band-Aid solution… I want to use food puzzles in class while I’m walking the course/ not with him,but if other dogs pass by while I’m not there, I won’t be there to reinforce good behavior if he doesn’t bark at the passing dogs… I’m not sure how to get around that challenge due to the layout of the building… I know the food puzzle itself is reinforcing, but I want an added bonus when he ignores the other dogs like you did with This! I plan to use a remote feeder too. I would love any other suggestions ❤
We are fostering a lovely small 2yr old mama dog who came from a northern community. She doesn't bark often at home (some minor alarm barking in the backyard when she sees the neighbour's cats). Her main barking is when we see dogs on walks, which is likely a combo of frustration as she is learning about leash walking and anxiety/fear of strange dogs. I have paused out and about walks while we work together on leash skills in the backyard (and all of the other games you mention).
Yes, I taught my Beagle JRT mix, whose revert to mode is barking to sneeze when she gets excited when we brought the puppy home so we could praise her (and eventually they would all sneeze when they were playing), for sneezes rather than have to stop the play because of her barking. Hope that helps.
Love this! It prompted me to do a refresher on my marker word and I'm definitely guilty of using it without giving treats every time so I need to be aware of that!
finally, someone that's addressing my dogs kind of barking. she's half Walker and a bit Beagle so there's that, but she mostly barks when she's excited: people, new place, and play. driving to the park or canal she barks insanely. i never really thought about her barking out of fear, but we were at a new dog park the other day and she had her back up a bit, though she did play with the other dogs. i just assumed she was barking out of excitement--because she _always_ barks a lot at dog parks, even her regular park and especially if i stop to talk with someone or sit on a bench, when i start walking again she stops barking. not surprisingly she's quite quiet when i'm not around, like when she's staying with my brother for a day or two. i take her on the road with me during my work days (i work out of my van) and she's rarely left alone (that part is a bit complicated and the moment i can, i will start leaving her home, sometimes at least. for the first couple years she didn't travel with me). i knew i was the problem, just no other trainers gave me a good starting point. several insightful points to ponder and work with already. much thanks and i look forward to the next lesson.
I would love to see the Frida Protocol done in english! I'm dealing with a 1 1/2 year old doberman who has separation anxiety if I try to have him sleep in his crate. Unfortunately, he is also disruptive to our sleep - jumping up and down off the bed, & wanting to go outside at 2 am. I am working on the games and things noted here & I'm hoping the final part of this with the protocol will help. Thank you so much for this series!
YES please, food puzzle introduction and scalation. Have a dog that is pretty good but got a bit stuck now the puzzle involves more than pawing and pushing with the nose.
My dog is a fear barker. I applied lessons from podcast episodes 236, 237. The Classical plus Operant conditioning had some success. But I found I simply could not sustain it--poor girl. My food reinforcements for retrieve--with which she complied, compounded with "back" "twirl" "stand" and more, occupied a briefer time span and small tummy than the scary strangers performing day long yard work. Bark bark bark
I’m in your homeschool dog group and following this closely. So now that understand why they vocalize, what do u do to get them to stop if not to shhh them? My pup is not understanding her relection and barks at that as well as if she doesn’t understand something. Like a bag blowing in the wind across the yard. How can I possibly introduce her to everything and when I first introduce her to something and she barks what am I supposed to do except say shhhh? Which is reinforcing her bark? I def want to get this fixed before she’s older. She’s 5 months old. Thanks for all the games. She’s getting them pretty well. I’m planning to look at relaxing protocol next. The others she is doing well with.
We have a mini schnauzer who can def be vocal dogs. He can get quite loud. When someone comes to the home, when he wants to play with us, and at other dogs at the dog park sometimes it can be non stop barking in their faces trying to get them to play, and often if someone tries to say hi to him when we are out on a walk - not everyone but random different people. I understand in most of these situations he's been reinforced and I will have to work on that. What are your thoughts on Bark Collars? like maybe the ones that squirt at them when they bark? I don't love the idea as I agree that he should be able to vocalize - just not excessively!
Great info which I have tried. I need detailed layers of learning as to how to stop my dog from barking at the TV when we turn it on. This is a new behavior that started eight months ago. I understand why she’s doing it because I was recovering from a back injury and spent a lot of time on the couch with ice. But now she will not stop watching TV and barking at it. She knows the hot zone and response to it very well. But it doesn’t keep her there. She cannot handle the newsand the activity that goes on the TV. Any suggestions? I have watched all of your podcasts that have to do with barking and have tried all of those protocols and so far there has been no change in her behavior.
My 8mo Husky puppy gets frustrated when she wants to play with the cats and I have her separated from them. She was originally raised around (large) cats who played with her. My feline girls are older and don’t want to have anything to do with an excited dog, and I prioritize the cat’s comfort and security. One cat is now getting curious and entering the dog’s space when the dog is calm after 2 months. All of the cats stopped hissing at her unless the dog initiates play.
Great podcasts on barking. My 9 month old pup mainly barks when he hears a neighbor dog barking that he can’t see. Occasionally he play barks at the front yard fence when some dogs walk by. I know you mentioned that very thing in another podcast but I can’t remember which one. I’d like to watch it again.
Thank you for these posts! My 5 yr old Aussie demand barks to play crate games (she loves the treats) or for release from crate (esp. after she has finished her puzzle, or in the morning, frankly, any time she wants out). We do not open the door unless she has offered a sit and is quiet, but I think this has become a series in her mind ("bark, bark, bark for attention, then mum will come eventually, ok, I will sit quietly, and TaDa!") I try not to approach the crate unless she has been quiet for a few moments, but it is hard in the morning when she needs to go outside to potty. Any suggestions would be helpful. Most grateful!
When my adopted dog would run outside barking or bark through the window, I would go over to her and look at what she was looking at, and sniff at the air like a dog lol - then I would shrug my shoulders, and say, 'It's fine, come on lets go'', and walk away, and she would stop barking and follow me. Now we are at teh stage where I just have to say, 'It's fine', but she still goes at it at times. Also have way more tools now that we are in home school the dog and recallers and crate games which is so good, because now I have a puppy as well :) He's a little recaller puppy! I am so proud of them, they are happy and confident and that is just the best feeling ever (my adopted dog used to be very nervous in certain situations). Looking forward to the next episode of how to stop the barking - my pup barks whenever he sees a dog on the training videos lol lol Or Dobby on Harry Potter - (I turn down the tv low with those things on and play games with him in the distance while it's on - the old white noise trick that I learnt in recallers). I have learnt so so much from the programmes I can't tell you how much I appreciate them, worth every penny Xxxx
Hi Susan, You haven’t addressed the barking when other dogs outside are barking or was it part of the squirrel barking? I would love to learn more about puzzle (the ones they have to push buttons inn order to get the treat): which ones to choose, where to start and how to increase the level of difficulty. Thanks!
Thank you Susan, your general and thorough analysis is very appreciated. I am dealing with anxiety barking can you give a bit more tips. Anxious by not wanting to be alone.Where to discern real separation distress (not anxiety which seems to be a medical term?) and how to deal with this. I understand the protocols and games but what if this does not really help ultimately?
I have a 4 Yr old miniature Poodle. He's very anxious and reactive probably due to his lack of puppy socialisation and poor treatment, we are his third home. He has been on medication prescribed by a vetinary Behaviourist, unfortunately the meds made him sick, so we have now got even more problems, one of them being a poor appetite. I have noticed that he is happier to eat food that he has earned so if you could please do a u tube/podcast on some food games/puzzles I would be extremely grateful. 😊
You glossed over the type of barking which I am having trouble with & it’s the barrier barking that gets reinforced when the person or truck leaves. How do you approach lessening that type of barking if you can’t prevent it?
My 20 pound dog was barking to protect me. I turned that around by showing her, through training, that I’m in charge and here to guide her. It has reduced the barking! She will still bark if she senses danger, like a delivery to the front door, but it’s less often now
Hi Susan, thanks for your expertise on this topic! I’m curious if you have any tips for my specific circumstance. We have little black birds that land on the top corner of the roof of the house, and my two kelpie/border collie mixes LOVE to bark at them frantically in the hopes of making them fly away …. then once they are successful they chase in the direction that the bird is flying in a crazy sprint to the back fence while barking non-stop. Then they gleefully run back and wait for the next bird to land before repeating the game. I’ve started sitting with them in the backyard and when a bird lands on the roof trying to engage them in another game instead with me - this is starting to work while I’m there, but when I’m not in the backyard they are at it again haha. Would love some pointers with this one. Thanks!
Thank you very much for all of your information! We are doing home school the dog and it’s been great! Our dog barks whenever people come to the door and into our house, which I appreciate. However, he does not stop. How do I keep this behavior but indicate a cue to him when it’s ok to stop barking?
Hi @teresasimpson2238, we have a playlist dedicated to all things barking, hopefully this can provide further insight. th-cam.com/play/PLphRRSxcMHy0bpnsTRDCxIC7NrkOuWYsU.html
Our older (5) mcnab barks furiously at my husband whe he comes down N dressed for work. The message is clear! If we were cattle we would comply. He will go lie down in his place but the tension is still there
Congrats with the 100K+ subscribers! This podcast makes so much sense, like always. ;-) But what if you have one excessive barker in a group of 5? For example, barking during play. Stop the play, makes sense. But what about the dog that was not barking? We don't say it outloud but stopping the play is a bit of a punishment, right? So the dog that did not bark gets punished as well. Or the barking dog when you are preparing food. You stop preparing the food. But what about the 4 others who are waiting quietly? We have three Border Collies, one Parson Terrier and one Kelpie. Do I need to tell you who is the excessive barker? 😂
You hit the biggest barking issue I have with Roxy She was the guard dog at the window so i covered one window and the air conditioner blocked her view on the second window She used to frantically run across the top of the couch Now she just jumps on it barks and when i call her over she will come sometimes but not always I know this isn’t helping so I’m very happy there will be a video to teach me how to help Roxy
Thanks for addressing barking. I live in a condo quad….so four garages facing each other…..my dog barks and runs to a door that she thinks sound is outside of every time she hears a garage door open, car door open or close, car coming in or out…realize this is environmental but how do I address this?
My cockapoo barks at any and everything when out walking where other people and dogs are. I have tried sitting on a bench and soothing her often, with little effect. But if I take her on a hike in the countryside she is very happy and mostly quiet with good recall. Is there anything else I can do to try and calm her in those stressful circumstances short of completely avoiding them?
My dogs bark at the dogs next door. I have a small garden so whilst i can limit their access i cant totally stop it and i know that in part they initiate it from bordom when im working.
My Havanese only barks when certain people (usually my teenaged boys) come unannounced through the front door and I think it's their energy and the brisk way they come in. Even thought they live here it's a trigger for her and I'm trying to help her work through that. Progress is progress.
My toy poodle has a weird habit of barking at the refrigerator when I am getting ice out of the dispenser. It has grown to when I get the tumble she will start to bark. It puzzles me. This is an excellent video with great ideas to try.
Hi Sally, here's the latest episode from the series with a protocol you could adapt for the refrigerator barking: th-cam.com/video/kk-wzuV-6fs/w-d-xo.html
I noticed that my dog barks less when I don't give any verbal cues in the agility ring so I try to give her has much physical cues as possible without verbal one when possible.
I guess I've managed to make educational toys interactive. When she gets a big box to rip open (the best of the best when it comes to indoor activities) she might growl and bark in excitement upon first attack. When she is struggling alot she might whine and look to me for help. The result of me observing and often be close by during play, giving vocal encouragement and sometimes helping out I guess 😅
Susan, I somehow managed to end up with 5 GSDs, ranging from 5yrs down to 2 yrs. the oldest has had training but has regressed as the other untrained dogs came into the home. So all have minimal training at this point, only those things that got trained 'by accident' (both good and bad) they know sit, down, kind of know 'wait' Needless to say, our house gets loud, frequently. I've had all the different barks from alerting, to fence running/playing/barking/fighting with neighbors dog, more alerting, and even more alerting that husband pulled up OMG OMG he's coming in the door, and probably frustrated barking from the youngest that is directed right at me. It's like he is telling me something (I have a pretty good idea it has something to do with BALL) How on earth do you train 5 dogs at the same time? If I try to take just one outside the others go cray cray in the house. They are a pack and I'm their hooman, they must be with me, all of them, all of the time! 🤣😂🙃 sorry that was so long, was venting I suppose. Now back to your video series.
Hi, sounds like you are busy! 💕🐾 Susan did a great episode with help for those needing to work multiple dogs, here's the link for you: th-cam.com/video/u4L-ra0fwc8/w-d-xo.html Happy training!
My dog barks when he sees the cats. It´s impossible in our house to keep them apart. Their are safe zones fot the cat. We try to avoid him to go after te cats, by sending him to his hotzone or keeping him on a line or holding him. But he reacts almost every time.
So whats the best method here: classic anytime we go to the kitchen (where food comes from) puppy becomes hyper focused and barks. Especially when he knows its breakfast or dinner time for him. Even at my feet in the kitchen he barks cause its taking too long and hes excited. My gf tries to sneak out in the morning but he hears her getting the food ready and begins barking etc etc. whats the number one thing I can do to curb this behavior properly? And can u link the hotzone video? (Ps if we move the feeding schedule, he begins to act out as well. Tips for that?)
Hi @mstevens6723 you'll fine Susan's free ItsYerChoice Summit super helpful for the kitchen situation! Here's the link for you - recallers.com/y/iyc Here's the most recent video covering Hot Zone - th-cam.com/video/x9_iX6--lXk/w-d-xo.html (but it you have a specific episode you are trying to find that's different, let us know, and we'll help out). Susan's awesome playlist on behavior chains is going to be super useful for you - th-cam.com/play/PLphRRSxcMHy36FqDOVAwoHy87MhWFUxVd.html&si=myZO_m3oEG4u8nyY
My dog barks in the car... At first it was when he knew we were arriving somewhere to walk. Now he barks at every stop, before a stop... He anticipates the destination ten minutes away. Stopping and exiting the car obviously reinforces this. I have tried waiting for quiet... Takes a long time. Sometimes if I restart the car he stops barking. It feels a negative approach. How do I encourage him to get it right? I've had his crate next to me to reward silence but he can be too excited to take treats.. It is tricky because we go to certain destinations which are quiet due to his fear of other dogs and he knows the routes!
Our dog barks and runs to the windows if she hears another dog bark outside. Really annoying at night. When you are sleeping and being woken by her barking, it’s not easy to redirect. Any tips for that behavior? During the day we redirect.
I have a 7-year-old Border Collie/Aussie Shepherd cross who barks and lunges at horses, sheep, goats and chickens on the TV. If I put her in her crate before I start to watch TV, and she just hears these animals, she barks like crazy. Any ideas on how to stop this?
my dog barks non stop from the time i release him at the start line in agility and doesn't stop until we are finished. Should I even try to get him to stop? I do find it distracting.
My border barks at neighbors that walk with their dogs. I have used counter conditioning to get him to "look" and come to me. Also he has a great "leave it" except for outside animals and people. Help!
my 6 month old Cavalier howl-barks at scary noises she hears outside or on the TV, I have had many Cavalier in my life but non that did this and I do not know what to do about it, I'm desperate, she has don this since I have her at 10 weeks old. Please help
Hi @marlenevanrijswijk1176 , it's great that you're looking to help your puppy, you can totally do this! We have a Fearful Dogs playlist full of helpful resources for you and your puppy: th-cam.com/video/1baRrsgipII/w-d-xo.html Happy training 💕 (Elena - DogsThat Team)
What about her territorial barking? If she is in her crate in the car and there is a gas attendant or someone who walks up to the car, how can I stop her from barking continuously, other than distracting her with food, which I realize is reinforcing.
My terrier mix goes insane in the car. She loves jumping in and going for a ride, but when she sees a dog, cat, squirrel, cow, bird etc, she loses her mind barking and jumping around. She's leashed in and my car. I've tried a kennel in the car, but she gets too hot when I cover it and when it's not covered she can see enough to react. Any ideas? Thanks!
How about barking at the TV? I have a reactive Toy Poodle (was not socialised cos used for breeding). She is very reactive to noise especially on the TV and any animal she sees will trigger her to bark/run at the TV. HELP!
My doggie is demand/attention barking when my attention is with friends or intimate partners. She gets very jealous and anxious. It’s like she is resource guarding me.
@rebeccareid6210 Susan has a great podcast that may help you understand why your dog is barking for your attention when you are around your friends --> th-cam.com/video/t1Zcqp8IwnI/w-d-xo.html (Julie - DogsThat Team)
Hi Julie, Thank you that was a great episode but it was about calming signals and communication though. No reference to barking around friends. Was that the correct episode you were referring to? Thank you so much 😊
Hi @rebeccareid6210, here's another podcast that can help with training your dog not to bark when certain stimuli are present (such as doorbells and friends) th-cam.com/video/kk-wzuV-6fs/w-d-xo.html. Susan specifically refers to using a remote feeder to help train your dog while you have houseguests and other people around. Happy training! 💜 (Sarah - DogsThat Team)
This was informative however - I need more. Rylee is an ACD and a demand barker. Yes I recognize his barking has been accidently reinforced - many family members in the house have not listened to me. Please help.
Susan once my dog starts to bark he gets a glazed look over his eyes. He is a reactive dog so I know his barking is his ability to get over aroused very easily. I’ve noticed that if I can touch him on his side sometimes that can bring him back down . What others ways Can I bring him back down.
I have the super dog...she barks if theres an unusual sound or someone at the door. If she is anxious im teaching her to come to me and wait rather than getting aroused/barking with hackles raised
Not only do I get demand barking Hysterical barking going to the pool But whining for reasons I can’t figure out . I understand barking I understand separation issues but I’m right there he is whining . No idea why , I have gone through my mental list of his needs wants desires I’m at a loose yet I feel like I’m missing the obvious Lol
My dog barks when she realises we are going for walkies. The trigger is when I get the leash. I tried putting the leash back when she barks, and walking away. She carries on. I wait. when she stops, I go the leash, and the whole thing starts again.
My cattle dog barks at me when I talk on the phone. I know I have reinforced by letting her out, throwing a toy, or telling her to shhh! It is very disruptive. She is vocal anyway, but this has gotten out of control.
My dog whines, alot. We've tried ignoring him and when he stops we play the game for which he is whining. But he whines for anything he thinks he should get. What else can we try?
Out on a walk, my 2 year old border collie, bounces and barks at me, I think he wants me to play with him, but he gets overexcited and tries to nip my legs, he is getting worse and I don't know how to stop him 😢
I have a high drive dog that easely gets vocal in training. It have been a lot better. But the second we enter the obediant competition the dog gets bananas 😢

Yes, please...food puzzle games introduction, definitely appreciate it! Thank you for broadcasting such practical and kind advice!🐾
100 % agree - I'd love to see that, as well!
Me too!
I took Nadine and Simones oline FRIDA class and I don't even have dogs with separation anxiety. So yes I strongly feel their program should be available in English too!
Yes, I want the Frida Protocol in English!
And yes for the introduction of food puzzle episod! It would be amazing!
I can tell you it works!!! Last week we took our 3 year old rescue dog for the first time on a busride. He had never seen it before. At the agitated moments I could distract him with IYC etc. It was a fabulous experience after 1 year of Recallers!🎉
So great, @anneketerborg3374 🧡
Thank you for this. Any attention is good attention. Same applies to young children. Learning not to react is hard but worth it
.........also imagine being a puppy and getting to be chosen by Susan Garrett or one of the team. Absolute lottery win !!!!🎉
Such a fabulous update! thank you for everything you are doing for Poppy @merniejb 💚
Yes, please, food puzzle podcast. And thank you for sharing your knowledge and energy!
Yes, please add a podcast on mental stimulation games.
Really interested in learning more about the food puzzles!
I’d love to know more about why Susan now feeds once per day. The dogs are not crazy hungry all morning before meal time at 3-6pm?
Yes for the Frida Protocol in English. Thanks.
I’d like both Frida and puzzle podcasts please 😊
Me too, on both counts please
Me too please
yes! it would be great to have the Frida Protocol in english!

Thank you so much @angelainsull4634, and know that you've got this!
Unfortunately, I didn't discover mighty Susan Garrett in time, I'm so glad I did 🤗 really appreciate every podcast, every online course, every bit of free advice you give away to help people and our beloved 🐕
You truly mighty Susan Garrett+your team
Thank you for your lovely comment! ❤️
It's never too late and you're doing the best you can, so just keep up the good work in baby steps ❤️❤️❤️
congratulations on 100 K subscribers🎉so well deserved❣️.
We're grateful for you, @kimberlydrake8654 🧡
Great information. I look forward to the next in the series. Yes to the FRIDA in English and to food puzzle enrichment games. Thank you.
I love your podcasts, I did HS after listening to your podcasts, very helpful and informative. I own 2 softcoated wheaten terriers.
Unfortunately, he is also disruptive to our
sleep - jumping up and down off the bed, & wanting to go outside at 2 am.
As always, reinforcement by Susan. Thank you for Recallers!
Thank you @DE-ss5ks 🧡
I started at the beginning a few days ago. I have about 200 episodes to go!
@M7ofATC so awesome! Thank you 💚
@@DogsThat you’re welcome! I also joined Homeschool the Dog last week!
Wow! This was Excellent!!
Thank you @jannellmeagher638 💚
Why did you switch to once a day feeding? I have not heard any benefits about this. Enlighten us! Great podcast.

Yay, Rosie! Recaller dogs are the best ❤️ The new episode of the barking series will be here very soon 😊
Hi Susan,
You haven’t addressed the barking when other dogs outside are barking or was it part of the squirrel barking?
She will still bark if she senses danger, like a delivery to the front door, but it’s less often now
Love to see a video on using good puzzles please
Yes for FRIDA in English!
Yes, please do a puzzle video. Bonus would be by dog size. I have Yorki’s

Our older (5) mcnab barks furiously at my husband whe he comes down
N dressed for work.
You hit the biggest barking issue I have with Roxy She was the guard dog at the window so i covered one window and the air conditioner blocked her view on the second window
She used to frantically run across the top of the couch Now she just jumps on it barks and when i call her over she will come sometimes but not always I know this isn’t helping so I’m very happy there will be a video to teach me how to help Roxy
Haha yes! My two bark at the window at magpies on the front lawn, intruder alert!
Hi. Question. My husky mix, woos, and barks during dog therapy visits. Is he telling me he’s tired or bored and how do I fix this?
Thanks for addressing barking. I live in a condo quad….so four garages facing each other…..my dog barks and runs to a door that she thinks sound is outside of every time she hears a garage door open, car door open or close, car coming in or out…realize this is environmental but how do I address this?
So helpful, thank you 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪
You are so welcome, and thank you for the cookies! ❤️
Would love if you could do a podcast on dogs and cats my dogs just love my cat too much and try play rough and chase him but not aggressily

My dogs triggers are noises that i dont hear. How do i avoid them? White noise is not always possible, or is it?
I guess I've managed to make educational toys interactive. When she gets a big box to rip open (the best of the best when it comes to indoor activities) she might growl and bark in excitement upon first attack. When she is struggling alot she might whine and look to me for help. The result of me observing and often be close by during play, giving vocal encouragement and sometimes helping out I guess 😅
Please more about puzzles ❤
YES PLEASE let us watch the German girls training in English! Thank You
Susan, I somehow managed to end up with 5 GSDs, ranging from 5yrs down to 2 yrs.
the oldest has had training but has regressed as the other untrained dogs came into the home.
So all have minimal training at this point, only those things that got trained 'by accident' (both good and bad) they know sit, down, kind of know 'wait'
Needless to say, our house gets loud, frequently. I've had all the different barks from alerting, to fence running/playing/barking/fighting with neighbors dog, more alerting, and even more alerting that husband pulled up OMG OMG he's coming in the door, and probably frustrated barking from the youngest that is directed right at me. It's like he is telling me something (I have a pretty good idea it has something to do with BALL)
How on earth do you train 5 dogs at the same time? If I try to take just one outside the others go cray cray in the house. They are a pack and I'm their hooman, they must be with me, all of them, all of the time! 🤣😂🙃
sorry that was so long, was venting I suppose. Now back to your video series.

I have a 7-year-old Border Collie/Aussie Shepherd cross who barks and lunges at horses, sheep, goats and chickens on the TV. If I put her in her crate before I start to watch TV, and she just hears these animals, she barks like crazy. Any ideas on how to stop this?

What about her territorial barking? If she is in her crate in the car and there is a gas attendant or someone who walks up to the car, how can I stop her from barking continuously, other than distracting her with food, which I realize is reinforcing.
