It's New Years Eve! WEE! At the risk of sounding like a complete cheeseball, I just wanted to thank all of my fellow sewing mofos that watch/like/comment/etc. I've heard it said that TH-cam comments represent the worst of humanity, but I am constantly surprised at how helpful, gracious, and appreciative your comments are. You guys rule. Perhaps the world would be a better place if more people sewed. ;D Happy New Year, and may your bobbins never run out!
I’m really enjoying your videos, practical tips, random cat distractions and fun yet precise delivery of the steps. Thanks for lifting my morning and motivating me to get crafty!
I'm having some trouble wrapping my mind around the twist and pin action but I imagine I'll get it as I sew. I would love a bit more explanation and slowing down a bit in your explanation when coming to something (that to me) not so intuitive. Thanks so much for all of the time and effort you put into making these tutorials!
I hope you have a spectacular and phenomenal 2017 Lex!!! Love your tutorials, and your personality!! There is a seamstress tag going around, you should definitely try it!! You are amazingly talented in so many areas!! You inspire me to sew!!
Well, I'm a guy, so ... how do I make this work as a keep-me-warm scarf without becoming 'fruity'? Oh, and can I add some kind of interface to make it warmer? What kind?
If you're going for warmth, I'd go with fleece, sweater knit, or some kind of wool (woven or knit). Either one should be quite warm without any sort of extra lining. Personally, I think you should wear whatever you want. The fruitier the better. 😆 But if you're looking for something traditionally "masculine," I'd say dark, solid colors or maybe a plaid. (Which should be easy to find in fleece and wool.) EmmaOneSock is one of my favorite fabric sources, and she has lots of really nice sweater knits and wools: www.emmaonesock.com/fabrics/fabric-type

@@smarmyclothes A plain color would lose the 'Infinity' part. What do you think of fabric with pin-up girls (no nudity) for a guy?
CHOO CHOO!
