How cool would it have been if you had masked off the eyeballs and some of the horns on the back so that they stayed copper and your nickel chrome or palladium coat came through on the rest of it. Kind of a bicolor look to it. But you know what This is awesome too partner!
There is actually a filament that bakes into metal. It basically cooks away the plastic on the first cook, then it hardens the metal in the second. Tho, I have no doubt it's probably crazy expensive. I believe there's a ceramic version as well.
Your work is always striking, well done, as I know there is alot of work that goes into getting prints this nicely finished. Cant wait to see what you do next!
@@hen3drik yeah for sure... but shhh dont spoiler my viewers 😜 ok just kidding chances are low one of the 66 people is here 😅 but yeah i might actually (if you dont mind) copy that and theres a tiny chance that i might do a electropalted voron ? ... first have to make myself a rocktumbler and all of that tho so wont come too soon
you can spray chrome paint, but it doesn't look as good. basically, you coat the part with either an airbrush or spray can, and conductive paint. then you electroplate copper on it, and nickel on top. copper is cheaper than nickel and very conductive, which is why it's used as a base coat. it also smooths defects relatively well. (though you still need to smooth the 3d print unless you have a high resolution printer.)
Wow! Really realistic. If you could make VR helmet from "3 body problem" you'll be famous on youtube. But first you need to make 3d file or let someone else make 3d model.
@@hen3drik ah, I was reading on tifoo instructions that they can be with pen but it's only shiny only with the a silver anode, guess I will have to try it out in the future to see what happens then share😅! Will stick with palladium for now then, thanks!😁

Dope idea

I'll give you a thumbs up for Goldfrapp.

the fact when i just ordered parts to test this myself soon hopefully, you upload .... can just be a good sign xD epic result love the metallic dragon
have you seen my electroplated stealth burner? ;-)

Wieder mega krass !
Goldfrapp!!
Super nice plating, it makes 3D print so much cooler! 0:44 shows some copper finish on the platform?
What conductive paint did you use?
Isn't there an easier way? How does the coating process with Spyrey work?

Amazing as always! Now I KNOW you didn’t sand this because that would be a lot of work haha, so I’m guessing resin print? What printer did you use?
Wonder if that can be FDM Printed provided the printer is runny no good
Which type of conductive paint used? Can u explain
I love the copper look, is there a way to maintain that without tarnishing? Maybe a clear coat spray?
Yes, I feel you. There are lacquers for copper.
what copper spray??
Do you know if it possible to use silver electrolyte directly on copper platted parts?
Rumor has it that it’s possible in bath. I only plate it on gold.

Quetzalcoatl???
Way too expensive
