Personally what I always did when reaching 80 (and if possible, some stuff before that) was the following:
- Reach friendly with the relevant factions so that I can get their respective tabards. Only exception would be the Sons of Hodir, with them you just do the K3 quest chain "They took our men!" and then turn in the "Relics of Ulduar" (Hoard on these, you can sell them for good money on the AH)
-Spam random heroics and look for a Naxxramas group. Preferably 25m, there's more room for mistakes and the loot is higher ilvl. (If you are a Shaman or Frost Mage, ya better be ready to kite at Gluth)
-Do wintergrasp when it is available. Lots of honor, gold and useful trinkets / gear can be obtained from doing it.
-Get your professions leveled up. If you can learn the recipes from Ulduar, ToC, etc. then you can just passively make gold by crafting people gear.
-Just focus on whatever the next raid tier is that's coming out

Thanks bro. Just hit lvl 80 for the first time ever and get to experience end game for the first time ever and was kind of overwhelmed at first.
Now I wrote myself a nice little checklist to go along to and it should be smooth sailing from now on.
As I newbie, I must say one big THANK to you, you made me all clear, ofcourse I had to play video a few times, but I got it what to do. Everyone explains another way, this looks like logical way to progress step by step, how the creators of the game imagined it (at least in my opinion). You are one great person ! :)

On my server is a bit different (Dalaran WoW).By the time you hit 80, you literally have enough gear to que for heroics due to the x1 xp rating which forces you to do many quests and dungeons with nice gear rewards. But the coolest things is nobody (the majority at least) cares about gear score as long as you've done your homework and know some tactics, people will get you into raids to help you attune and get some cool gear. So gear comes more naturally i guess and with lots of fun while making friends.Cheers

Look dudes. Blizzard literally can not stop private servers. There is NOTHING they can do about it. The cores have gotten so good people are now injecting custom models and assets from future expansions into vanilla. It won't be long until the source code is reverse engineered and we get Vanilla 2 with HD graphics that looks better than the retail version.
Step 1: Delete all Casters
Step 2: Buy Ret or Dk with Lolmourne

Lmfao, 4k GS DK on Sunwell and literally cant do anything to casters, maybe kill one If im lucky, casters are broken as all hell and DK's are only good in PVE.

@Lazare then man you dont know how to play a dk yet. Unholy is the worst spec to deal with right now on frosthold since they have so many cds like anti magic shield , zone , ghoul stun , gargoyle dps , death grip , strangulate , mind freeze to counter my mage , lock or priest. They do roughly similar damage now as they will do in Icc patch. I suggest to learn how to cc chain a caster becaude now they are easy kills for dks later it will get more balanced because of better gear for all classes
as far as early gearing, you need to do WG every time it is up, regardless of faction i recommend queueing in the last 5min of WG being available, if ur alliance u will farm tons of honor but lose(1WG mark), if you are horde you get a free win(3 WG marks} these marks can be used to purchase your boots/trinkets/helm from WG vendor they are about the same as deadly gladiator pieces, and offer a lot of hit rating. the 10k+ honor you will get will buy you all your savage glad pieces and offset pieces. Also dont forget to do class runs in VoA each week.
From what I know, its FOS and POS for pre-raid.

What add-ons and ElvUI settings are you using? I like how clean and organized your UI looks and I can't get mine to look as good as yours.
Don't forget Venture Bay Dailies in Grizzly Hills! If your class uses a relic slot (Shaman, Druid, Paladin, DK) and you are trying to get into heroics, this is a MUST since there is not another good way to improve that item slot. All you need to do is complete three quests (to get 30 Venture Coins) and then take over the little island until a vendor appears.
Also, another option is "walk in" heroics. Unless the server is fresh, this typically requires you to join a guild and get them to help you. It also requires the players know what they are doing since they are under geared for the content (this is especially true if your server has heroics that are more difficult than the standard Wrath Heroics).
@9:55 not true, there is a tabard. you probably don't need it though with how many dailies you can do

What is your elvui UI scale set at? I use the default but yours look more open and less compact like mine is and I like yours better.

I may try Classic wrath, but I need to know if the leveling is any better, with the help of the dungeon finder the grind shouldn't be as bad right? More low level quests as well for the easier grind?

Nice video 👌. But why are you so reluctant of saying you are playing on warmane's icecrown? It's quite obvious too. Especially since you explained how rdf works on warmane servers ONLY since that was not what was actually there in retail.( Daily dungeons quests)
Hey dude! It wasn't really me being reluctant, I was trying to keep it as 'general' as possible so to say because this guide is supposed to be viable for any blizzlike private server and maybe even actual blizzard wotlk servers in the future if that ever happens. :)

showing stuff on a warmane is not accurate at all. This server is badly scripted and most of these items wouldn't be avalable, because the quest chains for those faction vendors to appear are bugged and not working. So basically pay for lolmourne and enjoy. If you call that fun xD
grind to max level spam heroics for a few weeks clear t7 and from that point on you raidlog until cata comes out.

This looks like Warmane (Paymane-Bugmane). Where u see fresh lvl 80s in greens and holding a Shadowmourne they bought from the online store, and half the content is bugged AF.
Yes it is Warmane Icercown, I chose it cause it was a good server for me to quickly gear up this character, I didn't want to sink in a boatload of time leveling up a character on a 1x server just for this one video

On servers with at least patch 3.2 you just Spam ToC 5 normal for ilvl 200 epics and heroic after for a lot of 219 epics and skip all the rest
What to do?
Delete the Game and start a Life with lvls , where you Progress in real Things, Like career, Sport, Money and so on

So I should not get an item that even without its spirit is a huge upgrade for me? And spirit does nothing for mages? Spirit increases crit cause Molten Armor increases its critical strike chance the more spirit you have. Hell even certain items on tier sets have spirit...

Yeah Warmane Icecrown, it was a good server for me to gear this character up
Good god, why would private server players use a GS add-on? it was so toxic and broken, just twisting the score with stacking Stam gems as a caster, GG.
Oh yeah it sucks, you can buy 264 rings off of the auction house that have strength and stamina on it as a mage, but then you'll have a better gearscore so it makes 0 sense and the addon should have been made based on how beneficial it is to you, not just the item level. Unfortunately 95% of all pugs (at least on that server) use it, so you have to abide by their rules or make a pug yourself.

Man i can't wait for WOTLK classic, playing tbc classic the raiding is great but admittedly it was nostalgia that made me think TBC was as good as WOTLK, but WOTLK is just so much better on many fronts... going to be great (private servers are not an option for me -- 400 ping) so the wait is long

My greatest issue with the server you were playing on is that getting to 4.5k GS is painful, but it feels like I'm forced to queue randoms in order to buy new gear to get to 5k. And then, as a tank, I STILL need to get lucky as hell since getting 6.3k GS to even bother with NORMAL ICC is fucking horrific.

This is great. But just for everyone that came here wanting too use this guide for classic wotlk good luck the devs will most likely nerf and not release crafted gear till it’s too late.
rep belt is not worth it, simply in the time you complete other more important tabards and runs you'll have the 40 badges for the true bis belt.
classic wrath is already a dead raid log game after week 2 back to retail...lmao.
