Most likely scenario is that the price of saronite ore will go up to the point where the saronite ore shuffle is marginally profitable, or even just break even. Just as we saw with adamantite ore in tbc classic once prospecting was discovered profitable. At that point you can as well sell the saronite ore directly at the AH.
I definitely see what you are saying but comparing adamantite to saronite is literally chalk and cheese. What green gem in TBC from adamantite can hold up against blue gems like Chalcedony in WOTLK?
@@Scottejaye I surely agree that the gems are more valuable in wotlk, and I believe there is money to be made in shuffling. My point is more on a general economical level: people will buy loads of saronite ore on AH --> price will rise, until there is no gold to be made since the price is so high. This equilibrium price point will for sure be a lot higher than for adamantite ore since saronite is more valuable :) Addition: and this equilibrium price point will of course be changing over time since it depends on the AH price of the items craftable from the prospects of the ore. Not sure you’ll see this but would be great to get a reply, since that disenchant in dungeons option isn’t available in Classic wrath and the price of infinite dust won’t be floored, can you add that info in as to how we profit off that? Are we just AHing the the dust? Making something with it?
Spent 100g and 10 minutes doing this today. Cut the blue gems, vendored the green rings and some of the lower gems. I'm up 400g and haven't sold everything yet. 400g for 10 minutes with minimal investment.
Came back to review this as I originally based my profession choices around it. Unfortunately on my server there are far too many people doing this for it to be profitable. Saronite ore is 4g per. The blue gem market is collapsing from all the JCs making icy prisms only profits are yellow 20g, oranges 35g, reds 100g Dust is under 1g, metas sell for less than the mats and are and flooded on the AH extra transmute profit is gone with AH and posting cuts. The only metas that sell for over the stone require tokens, but they only profit for 10g more... so buying dragons eyes is less work and more profitable. The amount of time spent doing all the steps I can make more fishing. Hoping to get speed or wild magic potions at some point. I've only gotten 4 useless elixirs lol. First, this commentary on The Saronite Shuffle is more or less correct. But here's the biggest problem; the time investment. In retail, I played 4hrs daily doing "only" The Shuffle, using my own variation of the process (grossing around 1k everyday). By the end of Wrath, 10k per week wasn't uncommon. I'm also not the stingy type, so my raiding guild was well funded. (I should probably mention that my gold contributions were through an alt, so no one knew my raid main was the contributor. I'm not about buying my way into raids, or being known as having tons of gold. I find the thrill of being anonymously wealthy [in-game] enjoyment enough, when considering my WoW experience. I've told some people I could trust during retail, but never felt the urge to brag about it (nor do I now). To my fellow Shuffler's, I wish you many happy returns!! To the newcomers, don't try to buyout your competitors!! Keep in mind that The Shuffle WILL have much competition this time, and will NOT be as profitable as a result. Unless you've used this gold making method before and can improve upon it, it won't be worth trying to cut in on the market. I remember all my macro's for legal in-game automation, have AH Price spreadsheets from retail (good for percentile references) and screenshots to refresh my memory for that which has been forgotten. Unless you plan to corner the market everyday, may your profit margin be warned: This gold-making scheme is not for beginners!! Assuming we'll get Wrath Classic in November 2022, I'll be starting with (6) 70's (at my current leveling rate). These toons will be strictly positioned to maximize profits with The Shuffle from Day One. My other profession toons (there are 8) are for Plan B; and will be in their 60's should I need them to be leveled quickly. I don't mean to discourage anyone from trying The Shuffle, mostly trying to warn you of what you're getting into. You'll see some stiff competition from those of us who loved it in Retail, and want to improve our unshared methods!! There is so much this vid didn't consider to embellish on; which is normal for those that never tried The Shuffle in Retail. That's the biggest danger of this vid. It claims this method is profitable, but I'll argue the opposite as someone who knows better and has been planning accordingly. My in-game friends tend to ask me about my methods, based on that which I've chosen to reveal. Other than my brother, I'll never tell anyone. If you know how to make gobs of gold (and plan to do it again) why would you reveal the secrets that would lower your profit margins?!
I'm only going to have 1 alliance character in WOTLK Classic. I know the mining routes pretty well. Should my secondary be JC at the start, or herbalism? Or Alch/Herb? Which 2 would you recommend just for the start of the xpac? It's 1 toon so I can always swap out a profession later on.
Mine/Herb is best combo for moneymaking, but the proff bonuses are the worst, mining gives stamina, and herb gives a self heal that isnt worth a place on your action bar for most classes. If youre really only going to have 1 character mine/JC is a solid combo. Best is to have a mine/herb alt and have your JC, BS, Engi or tailor on main.
Scottie just a question, what are the odds for a race change service in Wotlk, I'm not talking about faction change, but to change for example from undead to troll because trolls are OP and undead become weak
This won't be a thing at all; All gems in early stage from prospecting will be cut and sold on AH as a cheaper alternative to +16 stat blue gems by wither +12 stats or perfect cuts with +14 stats, likewise all saronite will be used for crafting or transmuting into Titansteel. Skyflare and Earthsiege diamonds also drop even faster in price as they are required to be crafted in order to level Northrend alchemy so they will be extremely flooded. Likewise with their cost of production due to Eternal farming becoming the next hotly contested open world farming item won't make Meta gems profitable outside of a niche group of players. Even after Epic Gems are released it still won't be profitable. If you wish to make the maximum profit from anything mining related it would be mass accumulation and investment of Titanium as early as possible, then store it until Epic Gems are released in TOC, then prospect on patch release in conjunction with Damaged Necklace turns ins (which you should be storing also, along with your JC badges). On a recent seasonal WOTLK private server, on Epic Gem release night I had acquired all epic patterns from vendor then advertised in trade for a cutting service of all epic gems; Made over 10k in the first hour from cutting other's gems. Likewise saw a very high return on the AH with cut epic gems, then using profits to buy uncut gems, cut into profitable ones and re-sell.
I definitely agree with some of this but Chalcedony being sold raw rather than cut will be far more profitable. With no DE option, dust will be worth more than cut green gems after about a week because no one will be using green gems when blues are so accessible and as for titanium ore hoarding, I mentioned this in a recent video. There is a chance this won’t work if the contents of the ore is already decided like the bag of gems from mag or the brilliant glass, people saved these up for the epic gems and they didn’t work. Hoarding titanium works on private servers and even worked on the old 2008 client, but now? Who knows.
@@GamingDualities Come retail classic launch, tailoring and enchanting plus questing will be your friend. In the grand scheme though, it would be better to just play on a private WOTLK server and just ignore Blizzards attempt to cash cow WOTLK.
Funny, my main it's going to be JW+BS and the only alt I have it's alchemist+enchanter for the transmute cds and mail him stuff to disenchant lol. Anyway, the high amount of players/bots with addons and shits are just going to homogeneice the prices of everything like it happened on vanilla and TBC, the saronite shuffle it's probably going to have a negligible profit compared to just sell the ores directly on the AH. You may even lose gold if you have bad luck during the prospecting.
@schottejaye, just some feed back. the scrolling banner with supporter names feels like the credits are rolling at the end of a film. It is probably just a me problem, but feels so distracting and that somehow the show is over, anything else to see is just a quirky gag that u sometimes see at the end of the film after they roll the credits. ...idk exactly what my problem is with it but there is something really off putting about it. Very sorry if i'm just sounding like a Karen. Please keep up the amazing efforts, it's rediculously helpful and underrated.
@Scottejaye SUGGESTION: could you make a video about Resistance fights in Wotlk, and how it could be profitable?. I made around 10k gold on just picking up the odd green 68+ shadow resist gear when in dungeons while leveling/getting badges/farming prebis on one character.
A full shoadow resistance tank is used on the blood council in ICC and tanks are making sets anticipating this. The only other resist gear that is usually used is about 3 (crafted) pieces for tanking Sindragosa.
Too many people doing this stuff in TBC and won't change in Wrath. Those who are willing to camp the AH 20 hour/day will see the huge profits. The rest will just buy gold and spread it around to everyone else via GDKP.
I made 3 million plus off the cata shuffle. I calculated that if I purchased ore at median prices, even the worst prospecting results would vendor at a profit. Gems of value were an additional payday. Sent other materials to other crafting professions to process. The basis of the entire operation was all those damn bots making ore so cheap it was fool proof. Guildees would ask me how I could finance all these guild raffle fundraisers. I even posted videos to twitch to show them how to make millions and they would still piss and moan they were perpetually broke.
A difference between wrath and cata however…. Both xpac alts could fly at low level. Cata would gain xp from gathering. Bots would hack an account, level up toons on the hacked account with gathering programs. It lead to an endless supply of ore on the ah.
@@GamingDualities it was average prices at that time. If the price of ore doubled, you were no longer guaranteed to make profit with every prospect. The bots kept the ore really cheap throughout the xpac though.
Like always, the real g/hr will be from becoming incredibly good at the game and having many characters up to raiding standard so you can carry in gdkps. You can't compare the amount of work of slaving away at the AH constantly undercutting on your dust with a quick 3 hr raid and a nice 6k gold in your pocket.
I love your channel but I really hate it when content creators talking about a shuffle in the game because every time a content creator post a video about a shuffle blizzard ruins it. I'm not saying that's going to happen here but if you'll notice currently in retail the items that you need to buy from the vendor to craft gear and items make it impossible to do any kind of a shuffle now because content creators have been creating videos about shuffles the last two three expansions and they finally did something about it they made the thread and the other vendor items that you need to buy in bulk to craft anything cost a fortune and makes it impossible to sell to the vendor for a profit once you're done crafting an item

There is a chance this won’t work if the contents of the ore is already decided like the bag of gems from mag or the brilliant glass, people saved these up for the epic gems and they didn’t work. Hoarding titanium works on private servers and even worked on the old 2008 client, but now? Who knows.
what will the be best profession u assume?
Love the Boston Red Sox hat
I can't even think of a single fight that seriously required resistance gear after TBC
A full shoadow resistance tank is used on the blood council in ICC and tanks are making sets anticipating this. The only other resist gear that is usually used is about 3 (crafted) pieces for tanking Sindragosa.
if everyone goes engie/jc at your suggestion (you have pumped it many times), saronite will not be cheap for quite some time
Wanna make good gold in wotlk classic? Sell everything the first month. Ores, mats, ect. Are always super high in the beginning.
I think I probably said that one wrong too back in the day! Thanks for the tip on how to pronounce. kal-seh-duh-nee 😋

Scotte hype 🔥🔥🔥
well it's now Wrath and the Saronite Shuffle doesn't work when there are many more Miners who are selling their ore to make a profit
ill never stop saying CHAL CEH DOH NY
Saronite shuffle lezgoooo!!!
Too many people doing this stuff in TBC and won't change in Wrath. Those who are willing to camp the AH 20 hour/day will see the huge profits. The rest will just buy gold and spread it around to everyone else via GDKP.
Legend as always!
I thought best way to make gold is joining GDKP raid
It lead to an endless supply of ore on the ah.
median prices lol. what does that mean exactly. averagely priced? above avarage? prices change based on day and need so hard to say right
@@GamingDualities it was average prices at that time. If the price of ore doubled, you were no longer guaranteed to make profit with every prospect. The bots kept the ore really cheap throughout the xpac though.
"This article was wrote"? Is that like "written"?
Awesome content
omg he has a red sox hat. fuckin subbed!!
like it for "KALSEDONI" because i didnt even know its pronounced like that ahhahahhahhah
The game was not nearly as botted back then either. I think people will struggle for nodes.
I pronounced chalcedony the same way as you lol
Like always, the real g/hr will be from becoming incredibly good at the game and having many characters up to raiding standard so you can carry in gdkps. You can't compare the amount of work of slaving away at the AH constantly undercutting on your dust with a quick 3 hr raid and a nice 6k gold in your pocket.
I love your channel but I really hate it when content creators talking about a shuffle in the game because every time a content creator post a video about a shuffle blizzard ruins it.
I'm not saying that's going to happen here but if you'll notice currently in retail the items that you need to buy from the vendor to craft gear and items make it impossible to do any kind of a shuffle now because content creators have been creating videos about shuffles the last two three expansions and they finally did something about it they made the thread and the other vendor items that you need to buy in bulk to craft anything cost a fortune and makes it impossible to sell to the vendor for a profit once you're done crafting an item
lmao, i said chal-sedony too :P
Something that would take less work and actually would get you gold capped would be organizing and tanking gdkps
“ was written” not “was wrote”
If I worried about being grammatically correct I would of become an author
"Would have" or "Would've".😉 Don't take it personally. You ARE a content author, so I'd just thank the commenter for helping you improve your language and therefore presentation.
Having said all that, I enjoyed your video and thank you for putting together the information and presenting it in a palatable manner.
It's pronounced KAHL-seh-dough-knee
i want a gold buying guide for wow classic please!
Or you can do it more simple. Just join Gdkps and earn endless gold/loot while raiding :) Just a thought.
Nah, im on a good server. Dont have rhat crap here. 😁

Not even worth it.
Smelting that saronite into bars and then transmuting them into Titanium is a way better option. And depending on your server, it's better to buy the mats that others "saronite shuffle" to make the meta gems yourself.
lets be real. at least 75% of the playerbase will just buy gold. Just like in tbc.
first
You seem to be a funny guy but repeating “what is this” twenty times until you come up with what it is, is really annoying. Put up front what you are going to explain and why and then get into details.
It’s an 8 minute video, if that’s too long for you then “waves hand” this isn’t the channel your looking for.
chalice is now kal-is
