I've had my Kirin Tor Familiar for a couple of weeks now and I've seen maybe a handful of them in Grobbulus. I was totally shocked when I got my Sea Turtle when I was fishing in the Borean Tundra for Manta Ray's about 3 weeks ago. I like collecting mounts and companion pets so this video was right up my alley!!

Got my deathcharger on Halloween. I had finished the headless horseman and was bummed about never seeing his mount drop. Decided to do a run of strath and the deathcharger dropped after one run 😆
The mechengineer's chopper is 12,500g worth of stuff purchased from the vendor minimum, plus the 12 titansteel bars, plus the 2 arctic furs etc. So it's really like 14-16k depending on server

Flame Leviathan can be harvested for a lot of those "vendor only" items. So in phase 2, the chopper will become more common.

Pretty sure I was world first for that turtle mount. 3 minutes after launch, second cast of the first pool. No world/server first announcement for that mount though so can’t officially confirm

@@inaramir7600 that’s the way it works. I honestly didn’t even know about the mount and just fished because I was waiting for mobs to spawn. I got it, linked it in world chat and people started freaking out. That’s how I knew lol

I got my turtle mount last week after about an hour of fishing in Borean Tundra, almost recast if it wasnt for my friend sending a whisper the exact moment i clicked loot
for the Chef's hat you can get a "waterlogged recipe" which is a repeatable turn in from your fishing dailies or buy one on the AH and when you turn it in its 5 epicurean awards so chef's hat really isnt timegated

came here to say this, and that its probably more like 70-something cooking completions because they can award 2 marks rather than 1 (that might be depending on the quest)
I've noticed that sometimes the quest reward is two right off the bat and one more in the spice bag. So three total.
I wasn't noticing the one from the spice bag because it doesnt show up in the loot window, only in the chat log.
I’ve gotten up to 5 awards for 1 daily before including what came out of the reward bag
The cooking daily provides 1-2 epicurean awards per day. Aside from taking 2+ months at this rate, the awards can also be exchanged for 10 Northern Spices that can be sold for 40g or more for 10. That's 4000g you will not have if you buy that hat.
I've seen one Blue Dragonhawk mount on Grobb horde side, and I was shocked when I saw it and didn't think it was achievable
It is but takes a decent amount of effort, a ton of rep mounts and drop mounts, I’m working on it. Around 93 atm but still gotta get some drops in order to get 100 before TOTC patch
i got 100 on my dk almost 2 weeks ago :D its not that hard u just gotta get all the easy ones and luck out with a few
Few drop mounts, easier of you have amani, black, polar and brown bear. Then grind some honor to get all of the Black War mounts, Alliance/Horde faction mounts, all flying mounts (rare and epic ones) and prolly get Winterspring/Venomsaur and you should be quite close
You can buy the quest starter item that gives you +5 Epicurean's Awards on the Auction House, so you don't have to do any dailies for the Chef's Hat.
I would say TimeLostProto is the #1 hardest
Definitely..way easier to farm a low drop rate item than to hunt a low spawn rate NPC
fun fact i gave up on violet drake when the rng screwed me every day of halloween event i trick or treated 6 times a day would of done more if i wasnt a normal human being with full time job and got every single achieve EXCEPT the toothpick rng bs one. i am baffled as to how unlucky i am in this game i had everything else done including brewmaster the fact a rng toothpick decided my fate is unheard of
2 hour respawn timer for tlpd is completely insane, maybe in retail. Soonest ive seen was ~8 hours, average 12, sometimes tho 20hours+
Yea he's actually wrong. The title of the video is specifically for Wotlk Classic, so retail timers doesn't count. On Classic after Vyragosa or Time-Lost _despawns_ the timer begins after 6 hours and closes after 16 hours. So if it goes the full timer it will spawn every 24 hours. But what makes it so difficult to get is even if it spawns you have a 25% chance of camping the right spot. It's a double roll, and you have to camp in a group of 4 throughout all the 16 hours to ensure you know exactly when the next window opens. If you don't have the timer for this mount it really is going to waste your time. You could be camping for 6 hours in the window there is 0% of any spawn, or you could be camping for 16 hours, but have no idea somebody else just killed Vyragosa or Time-Lost on a different spawn spot
You can buy the waterlogged recipe to get more tokens.
Back in wrath the reigns of the grand black war mammoth dropped in 25man voa I ended up roll tieing with a 96 against another player. Then we had to do a roll of between both of us. I ended up winning it in the end and was probably one of the biggest adrenaline rush moments of my wow career
To me, the rarest mount in the game is the blue proto-drake. I've farmed time-lost a few months and we did it very systematically too in a group of 4. well, we were actually more like 7-8 people but always 4 camping at all time. Time-Lost spawned multiple times a week. I've done Utgarde Pinnacle almost daily for 3 months and I still haven't seen _ONE_ drop. I barely see anybody using the mount either. I see plenty of people with the Time-Lost. So for me the blue proto drake is 100% the hardest to get since it is also locked behind a 24 hour cooldown just like Tiime-Lost, but has a much lower drop chance than Time-Lost regardless of what any website may tell you. I'm still not sure if I believe it drops at all. I remember I never saw it drop one time on retail either and I played the heck out the game back then. If I could choose between getting Time-Lost or the blue proto drake I would pick the blue one 100% of the time. It looks much better and a lot fewer people have it. Time-Lost is so hyped up mostly because of it's name. Sounds like a very rare mount, but it's actually guaranteed to spawn multiple times a week. And yes I'm talking about 1 layer. It spawns even more on servers with multiple layers.
I fished up the sea turtle mount and giant sewer rat in the same day. Didn’t even realize how low the drop rates were until I watched this.
same I got the sea turtle after 10-15min of fishing in Sholazar Basin while waiting for my friend to finish his fishing daily xD
great vid once again Toyhouze! My bf got the turtle on his 10th time fishing in Northrend and fishing level 190... and he's a druid so he doesn't even need it! Me on the other hand have fishing maxed out, best rod, fishing hat, lures, etc and havent got it yet!!! So annoying... and i also saw a gnome mage on the turtle with the Higher learning pet just chilling in Dala... and its a horde dominant server... that guy xD

The grand black tundra mammoth can drop on 10 and 25 man and the bosses added to voa might drop it too. So it's more common as phases drop

Short note though my friend, you don't need to do 100 cooking dailies, as one of them actually give 2 of those tokens, so with about 1/5 for that one, it's at least a little less :)
Also the waterlogged recipes from fishing.
Toy also get Epicurean awards from the cooking bag, and from waterlogged recipes from fishing. Actually more like 50days for dailies at most.

In retail, I got the green proto on my 2nd egg, my friends were furious needless to say.
Yea my friend got it on his first egg. Then he told me _his_ friend had been opening 1 egg for 6 months until he got it. That would put it much higher imo. You can always cheese it by farming the rep on multiple lvl 80's like I'm doing now. I think this is almost 1 month now of opening 4 eggs every week without getting it. It can quickly go to 2 months.
I am new to wow i played a bit classic and a bit retail.. what is difference between classic and lich king classic? Which one should i play?
lich king is the oldest version of the game pre -alpha and classic is newest

Wow so I'm pretty lucky! I got the twilight drake first guild kill, black war mammoth 2nd try with random pug group. And to top that off, the turtle while leveling fishing got it at 152 fishing level. Baron mount really isn't too rare anymore because of the easy kill in my opinion.
Also got the headless horseman mount as well! Haha

It’s not rare at all. 1/200 isn’t much when attempts are fast (fishing). This guy looked at the % drop chance and didn’t consider how easy it is to attempt those drop chances.
The grand black war mammoth can only be attempted once a week and takes a lot of time and then you have to win the roll. The fishing can be attempted every 10 seconds and it’s yours if you get it.
Someone ninja loted that mammoth from me when I won the roll 3 weeks ago. Still pissed...
I think that TLPD is the hardest thing to obtain, rat/turtle has nothing on TLPD. Multiple spawn points, unreliable spawn rate 2h-22h that is shared with vyragosa, multiple people can spawn camp at the same time. Rat and turtle are single player, no one can take them from you but thats not the case with TLPD.

It is not 2-22 hours spawn timer. it is 6-16 hours. This is not retail. And yes I agree, I just got my turtle after fishing for 2-3 days. I've spent 2 months camping Time-Lost and nothing. I almost got it one time as it flew by me on retail, but when I jumped at my keyboard to tag it I got disconnected. Logged back in and it was dead on the ground. On the other hand, you can easily make a 80 character on a deserted server and get it that way. I've heard about people spending 6 months to get the green Proto-Drake opening 1 egg every week. I was honestly expecting the LK mount to be #1 on the list. Either way, I got my Sea Turtle today and even though I got it quick, I've read comments from people saying they never got it, so I guess I'm happy with that x) Someone said there's a 1/5000 chance of getting the Sea Turtle, but it's not a countdown. Every throw is a 1/5000 chance.
Took me two years to get the Time Lost Protodrake in retail, I imagine is way harder in classic

i got the turtle in 5 hours, and the sewer gint rat in 2h30min. and heroic pinnalcle mount in 6 runs. i feel darn luky but not getting any BiS gear in raids tho
the turtle mount i think i was server first, at least haven't seen any, got it in about 10 casts off the coast of dragonblight

Time-Lost is 6-22h not 2-22, i just got mine 1.5 hours ago. 08:22 am 13-11-22. Killed 29 vyragosas in my month of camping!

The raven mount can be gained from the tank\healer boxes. I got mine this way as a DK

i fished that turtle 3 times within a week i lost it the 2 first times since i recasted to fast and it doesnt autoloot if u dont Disable loot warnings in leatrix i did that after i lost the 2nd and 3rd was in the bag! xD

You missed a lot. Swift Razzashi Raptor, Swift Zulian Tiger, Fiery Warhorse's Reins, X-45 Heartbreaker, Reins of the Azure Drake, Reins of the Black Drake, Ashes of Al'ar, Brewfest mounts, Headless Horseman's mount, Venomhide Ravasaur. Don't get me started about the pets.
A lot of those are not wrath specific

Wow I didn't even think about that. Having only a handful of tries per year at a 0.3% drop chance - quite possibly one of the rarest mounts out there!
@@Toyhouze if i remember correctly,on retail there was a year when the drop chance was double digit and almost everyone got it. if i'm wrong,then im lucky because i got it without farming it hard. i haven't logged in to wow since WoD, so my memories are slowly fading away.

Kinda bonkers you think 200 emblems is harder than naxx 10/25 man glory raider mounts. 200 Emblems takes a 4-5 days and 100% chance when you have 200 emblems.
