Doing another segment with the gas versions of these HD’s and 0-60 times would be icing on the cake.
If y’all can, adding a drone view to see how they accelerate through out the 1/4 mile would help versus just seeing from behind or from drivers seat.

I own a 2020 F20 diesel and every time I preload the engine for takeoff it falls on its face off the line. If I just punch it off the line it takes off way faster. I knew the Ram would lose BUT what was most impressive was how well it kept up with these trucks, despite being down substantially in power and gears. Yes, the 3.73s help, but not the HP and torque deficit that it has.(**reallllyy wish this was a H.O. w/ Aisin for true apples to apples).
The Chevy was impressive off the line and through the race, which makes one wonder when they update the Duramax next year, will it be the true hot-rod HD!?
And of course rhe Ford's endless torque was going to bring it towards the end.

Only Rams with 6.7L from 2019 to current day and Ram/Jeep with 3.0L EcoDiesel from 2014 to current day are of concern with the CP4 pump. I've got a 2012 Ram 3500 and it uses a CP3 pump (and no DEF). The CP3 has three pumping elements instead of two. It's heavier, but it's pretty much bullet-proof. The CP4 only has two pumping elements and is a lighter unit.
Something else to add...failure of the CP4 units generally occur around the 100,000 mile mark. One thing that stands out that I've noticed is that with the CP4 (and probably any pumping system) is to replace the fuel filter as impurities can cause failure in the pumps. Also ultra low sulfur diesel is suspected as a cause by not providing enough lubrication. Since these pumps are under high pressure, impurities can really impact them. I would say change your filters at regular intervals...and maybe sooner than recommended.

I feel like The Cummins was kind of screwed from the beginning because it has the smaller engine that you can get not the high output

Got into an argument with a Dodge guy. He tried to argue that the 2022 6.7 Cummins had 1600f/p of torque. I was laughing as he was shoveing his phone in my face. What an idiot.
P.S. You put on the Duramax, go for the Powerstroke, then you Cummins.

this is something ive wanted to see for a long time. Especially for other vehicles and trucks 1/4 mile is the way to go. 1/8 mile with no space to slow down i think held ya back.

Oh, from personal experience, Ram. This was certainly not true 25 years ago, but more modern Ram seats are very comfortable for all day driving, and the plastics and cloths are very high quality, particularly in the work truck models. My company has owned several 4th gen Ram work trucks. Even after 10+ years of work, the steering wheels show little wear, the seat material aren't ripped up, and there's not a crack or warp anywhere in the plastics. Only negative I've seen has been rattles in the dash, but the other brands aren't better. Even my old Toyota Tundra, which was the same age as the Ram, wore out much faster.

@@fireant1272 All of the engines fine now honestly ''outside of the fact that they all have a ton of emission crap on them''. But the Cummins and the Duramax never had issues as big as the Powerstroke did between 2003 and 2010, but since Ford has dumped Navistar as their supplier and started making their own diesels in house from 2011 onward, the Powerstroke has been every bit as reliable as the others.

RAM easily, best interior and best diesel engine for towing. Best transmission GM, best chassis Ford.

All, of these trucks are, big, modern, tough, and expensive!! Modern, full-sized trucks, are easy to drive, like an average luxury car! I like, and appreciate all 3, as they are 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸! Can't argue with that!!

Been waiting for this race! Very interesting on the 1st race how the GM took off but after a few more passes, looked like it loss some of its grunt. Cummins did well against the V8 and I don’t think the HO would do any better with that commercial grade Aisin. Ford seem to get faster by every race lol, great video!!!

Silverado is very impressive being 30hp less and 140 lb/ft less then Ford f250. 2023 Silverado will have 500+ hp and 1100+ lb/ft. In the real world of towing, the Silverado is perfect. Def best low end power.
