    I've bought the F16 Stick with throttle at the beginning of this year. Was the best gaming hardware purchase in a looong time. And although I'm currently not realy playing any games and thus don't use the stick right now, I don't regret buying them. WinWing Build quality is great, the functionality is amazing. The only hindrance are games not supporting more than 32 Buttons per Stick. I'd love to get the panels too, but I realy don't need them. (But I wan't them!!!)

    Had mine over 12 months & no complaints for what I paid for them. I've had no issues with the gear handle, only the fold switch which is well known, the grub screw is now lost forever & I will get around to hot-glueing it eventually. The black finish on the hook handle has started to wear thin, I guess just like the real thing. Also bent the clamp brackets as you did, but it's chinesium so easily straightened. I also use them as button boxes in Truck simulator. But the key take-away is that everything on these panels still does what it's meant to after many, many hours of use.

    • @g-locmedia
      @g-locmedia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your take on the panels. I think the gear handle is something they may have fixed in later models. Button boxes on truck simulator. NICE! Thanks for sharing. I think people reading through these comments will be more help than the review itself.

    Thanks for the review. Having definitely made my mind up that winwing are going to be my new Hotas and button box selection of choice it was good to see a review of these after some use.
    Winwing are professional Simulator suppliers they have been making large proffesional grade simulators for business use before they started making Hotas and flight panels for everyday flight simmers like us.
    On release of some of thier original kit there were issues with quality of the buttons and failures when this was reported to winwing by DCS reviewers they checked out the issue and literally fired thier supplier those particular buttons/switches and got a better quality supplier. They are very focused on quality and I would reach out to inform them about the two buttons you mention in your review that broke off and you fixed with glue. I'm sure they would improve the manufactiring of the unit if you did.
    The fact they make these in China is not an indicator of low quality, this company is out to make a name for themselves in the flight Sim industry for quality and value not just value, i have heard a couple of interviews with some of the heads of departments on other DCS vloggers channels quality product is very much thier main goal.

    YES. I have had mine for over a year without issue. I come from Thrustmaster and these are soooo much better. I have also used Virpil and VKB and believe they are both superior but only for the joystick for VKB and it's even for the throttles (F18) but I now have the F16 Winwing throttle so no competition there from anyone. The panels are amazing and as they are dissimilar in switch type and location they can be easily memorized by VR users (feel and press). I should add that their software is the best of a bad lot.

    I had the exact same issue with the gear lever. But looking at it I realized that they didn't apply any adhesive to the joint and just utilized a plastic clipping system. Considering that the round lever is applying pressure vertically accross the joint it really does need some sort of adhesive. CA gel worked really well for me.

    Winwing make some pretty solid stuff. I’ve used the combat antique off panels since the very beginning and frankly, the only issue I’ve had is the gear lever handle like you did. However, they quickly sent me a replacement sense mind literally had to head snap in half. But using the F 16 stick, the F 18 stick, the super Taurus, super libra, and Orion force sensing base, it’s safe to say I’ve been much more happy then not that I got them. I’ve had a few small problems here and there but nothing that wasn’t easily resolved. The big thing I like about their stuff is it’s very much user replaceable if you do have an issue. but agreed on the instructions, they are absolutely atrocious because of the translation from Chinese to English. I did put out a video on the software, but I think it’s this point while still useful. It’s also largely dated because it’s roughly 2 years old now.

As far as the jets the F18 is easer to land because of the nice wide wheel base. The F16 is very narrow just a little mistake and flames. lol. Not to mention the wiring knowledge, plus sourcing of he correct switches and panels, you are looking at weeks of work, if you could even do it yourself. $150 is about what I would charge a client for half a day of my time. I would very happily pay that and even double for one of those panels. And try getting that made in the USA for even fraction of that price……Sorry, you are wrong, these are great value and by passing on them, you are missing out on a great dimension to your simming……..

    Just be warned, if you have any problems with your kit be prepared to disassemble and chat with customer service for 7 months or longer. You have to fix everything yourself, and they will not replace your faulty product. Instead you will have to wait for parts to be sent, and repair it yourself. And customer service speaks really bad english. I’ve bought the Orion 2 and the F-16 throttle grip in may 2022, and now it’s almost 2023, and they still haven’t fixed it.
