Fallout76 isn't all that bad to be honest. It's a real fun time with a friend. But yeah after Starfield I don't think anyone should care about what BGS makes anymore.
@Leboobs22 The TV show did New Vegas dirty. Its also set in California, which is pretty pathetic. Every god damn TV show and movie has been set in California for the past 70 years. I want Fallout in Texas, New York or Alaska already.
Starfield for me was the de facto game to decide whether they still got it or so done with them... Starfield showed exactly that they just lost the plot so hard.
@@Vert_GreenHeart They've been this bad for a long time. The only reason the Elder Scrolls and Bethesda developed Fallout games were decent is that they were building on other people's creation. They bought the lore and world of Fallout, and the people that created the Elder Scrolls lore and world have been gone from Bethesda for a long time.
@@grimvisionz91 Join the club. After playing Oblivion, F3, Skyrim, and F4 enough to bore me to tears, I realized that 80+% of them were the same game, and the one dimensional characters, poor writing, and bad code didn't enamor me. I didn't need to see 76 or Starfailed to know that I was done with Todd's games.
I have zero faith in any Western AAA company creating a game in the same vein as Fallout 3 let alone Fallout New Vegas. I don't really even trust them with a remaster either. These great games are unfortunately products of their time. I'm currently playing both of them now through the Tale of Two Wastelands mod(s). Bless all the modders that contributed their time and abilities to make that happen.
People give fallout 3 a lot of shit tho I've always loved the atmosphere of the game. Even tho im only 1 year older than the game I find a lot of the choices and whatnot a lot more expansive than modern games. However I do feel that all modern titles aren't bad, we got baldurs gate 3 which although I haven't played yet is supposed to be a pretty true rpg.
@@naimad2610 not a soul gave fallout 3 any backlash in 2008 aside from the original ending properly ending your playthrough. until mothership zeta came out which was mid
We should be in a golden age with the massive improvements in game tech and graphics. The number of IPs out there either gathering dust or being mishandled by incompetent or woke studios is staggering.
Thats the paradox ;-) We *could* have had TES6 with goodness knows what lore, adventuring, spells, wars, rpg elements and all manner of incredible content, but its better to put all that on hold so that we can run galactic fetch quests in Starfield.
You're getting at the underlying problem with Fallout 76 in this video: It has undermined any incentive on Bethesda's part to get a new proper single-player Fallout game out. Even as disastrous as that game's launch was, it has nevertheless become, in Bethesda's eyes, the main Fallout game. All of the effort that would have gone into making a new game has instead gone into that thing and all of the subsequent efforts to expand and update Fallout 76 have likewise drawn time, energy and resources away from a new singleplayer game. As long as Fallout 76 continues to draw in enough players, especially whales, to continue to make it profitable, Bethesda can point to it and say, "See, we ARE creating new Fallout content for players!" even if what those players really want is a singleplayer player game. The situation with Fallout 76 is a prime example of why live service games are a cancer on the industry. They're usually bad games on their own terms, they promote predatory monetization practices, the drive by publishers to create them draws resources away from creating good non-live service games, and, thanks again to the whales, live service games only need to be marginally successful to continue to be supported by the publishers, which draws further resources away from creating other types of games.
"[FO76] as nevertheless become, in Bethesda's eyes" Its running out of steam, they milked it to the end. Adding new content isn't bring back players FO76 was a money maker for Bethesda, with the 1st Membership & pay to buy virtual items. As long as players returned to FO76 & bought virtual merch. they had no intention of starting FO5. also with Skyrim & ES5, higher game sales than FO4 they are going to chase after new release of ES^ over FO5.
@@jed-henrywitkowski6470 A "whale" is the video game industry term for the players who shell out big $$$ on micro-transactions on online games. It is not uncommon for whales to spend thousands of bucks on a single game. Thus, an online game that hooks (get it?) enough whales can be insanely lucrative even if the overall player count is low. NovemberHotel has done videos on this phenomenon. In most cases, these are just people with a lot of money to throw away and/or Daddy's/Mommy's credit card. Whatever the reason, they are a major reason why video game companies keep pumping out live service games even though most (seemingly) flop.
@@jed-henrywitkowski6470 A "whale" is the video game industry term for the players who spend big $$$ on microtransactions in online games. There are people who, no shit, spend thousands of dollars just buying skins, power-ups and other virtual stuff like that. NovemberHotel has done videos on this phenomenon. Whales are prized by the industry because they can make online video games insanely lucrative even if the game has a low overall player count. The whales' spending makes up for the lack of other players. They are a major reason why the industry keeps cranking out shitty live service games and tends to ignore making new single player games, which aren't as good at selling microtransactions. Whales make live service games a safe bet, even when, by all of the usual metrics for success, the games flop. And if the game is a genuine hit, well, the whales can effectively transform that game into a license to print money for the developers. In short, a small group of players with a lot of money to burn have completely distorted the entire industry, by making the industry cater to them over the majority of the rest of the fans.
Unfortunately, it's nothing new for Bethesda, it's just their normal way of thinking and acting. They think that with Fallout they just have a kind of Disney World that they just have to fill with weird, funny and exciting things and then the whole thing is over. Unfortunately, it's not like that, because Fallout has always been more, much more, it was like the Stalker series or the Metro series. But that didn't stop Tod Howard from using everything as a springboard for his idea of Disneyland Fallout editions. Tim Cain invented it and Bethesda killed it.
Youre a bot right? Fallout games as we know them only exist at all in the first place because of Bethesda, they can't possibly be any more than they've made it, and the massive success of the franchise is attributable virtually solely to them. What dumpsters is your framework pulling data from to generate these garbage responses?
killing* And now we can't even know how's it's doing until we at least get something new from Fallout. What a precious series, too bad things get stale. I'd say after One and Two is when the story started getting bland. New Vegas was alright, hard to get into with how buggy it is but it has a great story too. Fallout 3 is good but overshadowed. And Fallout 4 is pretty buggy, it's story is kinda mid, but its gameplay is great, and Far Harbor kinda saved it.
With how much infected Bethesda is, I don't think we will have a faithful Remake /Remaster of older titles rather we will have watered down versions of them 😔
No New Vegas 2. No sequels. Fucking tired of follow-ups. New Vegas is great but it's done. Just need a re-release on an actual, functional engine so Obsidian can put all of the cut content back in and then some.
I’ve wanted a fallout game in Chicago, Texas, Florida, or Alaska. I’d want Chicago for the snow environment and the enclave lore. But only in an obsidian made game. If Bethesda was making it I’d probably want it to be in Alaska since that location fits their forte.
@@fizz_time7003 Alaska and Texas are literally perfect, but if I had to bet $1m on it I would bet it all on California. Its pretty obvious Bethesda is 1. lazy, 2. pretty "L word" (political), and 3. probably wants to milk the show now instead of the games themselves. So I would bet a million on Fallout 5 being set in Los Angeles and being the most boring game ever made. Oh yeah also they gotta milk the dying "silicon valley" BS about LA being great. 💀
BG3 had body type 1 and 2, same thing with Palworld yet does games are highly liked. Focus on game quality and throw away your political agenda when it comes to judging games.
@@stefanradebach2889It's a balancing act. If a game is good and fun, most people can stomach small amounts of political nonsense. Fill the game to the brim with overt propaganda nobody will like it no matter how good the game is. Plus politics directly affect how good a game is. Because the more time devs try shoehorning politics into video games the less time is spent on the game itself.
You don't want Obsidian touching the remasters or making a new Fallout game. Read up on Avowed and its art director. I'll just say it's involved in the culture war. No, I'm not on either side, but Obsidian is no longer what it used to be. Just look into it.
Chris Avellone isn't even there anymore, so they automatically don't have access to one of their better writers. Outer Worlds proved how most of the writing team is just GONE now. I would say nXile with Brian Fargo is probably the only good RPG studio they have now. People seemed pretty big on Wasteland 3.
Yeah inXile are still doing well. Bryan Fargo still seems to know how to make a good RPG and as far as I know they haven't been captured by the culture war.
@AA-vf9jb wouldn’t prevent said company from shutting Bethesda down and either she splitting the IPs Amon their other studios or selling them off if Bethesda ends up burning more cash than they bring in (which Xbox as a whole is doing which is why they are going multiplatform to avoid Microsoft axing their gaming division)
@AA-vf9jb ms has closed down many notable game studios bethesda isn't untouchable the moment they become less profitable ms will pull the plug and honestly maybe it's for the best they are creatively bankrupt unable to produce a goid game that isn't a dumpster fire and riddled with bugs last good games they made was fallout 3 and skyrim
@shadewolf0075 Even if true, Bethesda is definitely in a safer situation than most other MS studios. You forget that the developer has delivered two massively successful games in the recent past - fallout 76 and elder scrolls online. In this day and age where online engagement and micro- transactions are more important than initial sales, I believe Bethesda is in as strong a position as Blizzard. Also Microsoft's cloud business is its biggest profit generator and games like these contribute to that demand
It’s starting to hit me how much I hate AAA game company culture in general. It’s clear that in AAA studios probably 90% of their employees are totally useless and talentless. These companies have a zillion employees, and so few of them are competent at anything. The fact that a game even releases is due to maybe 10-20 key devs I’m guessing. Maybe fewer than that. The rest are all imposters who don’t belong in the industry. Everyone who has a bullshit job like story writer or whatever the hell Todd Howard supposedly does need to get out.
@@mattmartin6493 Its not just that. Half of their developers are made up of those ADHD kids you probably remember from high school who said they were going to be game designers in the future. Well look at them now. They went to college, got a degree in game design or computer science, and now they sit in a cubacle watching Jacksepticeye and eating popcorn all day while they let ChatGPT write all of their code for them. 😂
that's because over 90% of their employees are Leftover Women Feminists and Activists that by their own words hate gaming and gamers they also have No Education or knowledge about well anything really let alone game development
Bethesda employs about 450 people, split between many projects. They're not useless, every single one of them is almost certainly multiple times more successful and intelligent than you. You should get a job, as well. No way this comment came from an employed person.
I liked 4. Played all night after going to a midnight release. Great world, interesting locations, best gunplay. Some side quests were really good too and some of the characters were great.
Doubtful anything like it will happen in a lifetime with these absolutely ridiculous release windows. Maybe 3-4 fallout games in 40 years, insane! Even then they could be disappointing. Imagine waiting 10 years for another round of starfield
It didn’t . Fallout 1 is not only the first Fallout I played. It is the very first game I bought . I played it. Completed it. Liked it. And I still enjoyed 4. By not being stuck in the past. It was an evolution - the story has its flaws and some locations could have been handled better (Quincy, the robot race ,.) but there is a much stronger gameplay loop in F4 than in any other entry. shooting-exploring-building. They all work with each other. There is a flow and a loop. And the idea of rebuilding civilization very much fits with post-apocalyptic genre. Especially in survival mode every mechanism and skills become useful and it really clicks together. It’s organic. They could definitely have done a few things better but the core gameplay loop is rock-solid and can be expanded . And the power armor feel more powerful than they ever been. And each faction has its own way of controlling the map : supply chain, vertibird, teleportation grenade , . And the companions might be among the bests with good voice acting, own storylines and strong like/dislikes. I get it’s not what some people wanted, they wanted more adventure like story / obsidian choice and consequences / scripted paths . But Fallout have constantly evolved from the start, the sales of F4 were fantastic and blew out of the water every other entry , it brought a new original core gameplay that can be further refined. And obsidian can still put out games of their own like Outer World 2 if that’s what you are into. There’s no reason to get religious about it. I am not stuck on Fallout 1 . So I don’t get why some kids who started with FNV want to get all dogmatic about what Fallout is. Some gamers want to die on the weirdest hills.
fallout 4 was my first ever fallout, loved it and bought 3, new vegas, and even have the original titles 1-2 but 76 messed it up for me. just wish they improve their systems and not release another Starfield
So now we have a better AC game but it's called Ghost of Tsushima... and a better hero shooter than Overwatch called Rivals... and a better diablo game called Path of Exile. They're not from just western or easter game studios. The main thing that I connect them is that *there's still market for such games.* What are they called or who made them matters little. There will be a better fallout/ES games. They wont be called that or be from Bethesda. Just stay vigilant curb that brand loyalty a bit and soon that market gap will soon be taken.
Todd, like what are you trying to say Todd. As if your titles haven't spoken for you enough. Fallouts 4 and 76 had disastrous releases along with starfield and that's still a heaping pile that nobody really wants to play. I promise that everyone is dying for the next Fallout and praying that you won't have anything to do with it. The best versions of Fallout are without you being involved i.e origonal New Vegas and London. You almost ruined London, do us real Fallout fans a favor and just get out of the way.
For the younger generations 10 years would be doable but for us older generations that is yet to be seen, myself I'm already 65 thus 10 more years, well... Todd isn't getting any younger either.
You're so true! I don't really think about older players as I myself am 17 and discovered my brother's xbox 360 copy of fallout 3 but I think you're so right that the community that has been there for all releases since the first in the 90s isn't getting younger and neither is Tod! We need a new game to enjoy that isn't a mobile launch or a remake before it's too late because they go off the assumption that people will wait for the next game and that we have all the time in the world but we don't!
Fallouts dead, the games are anyway, Bethesda simply isn’t talented enough to make a good game. Unless they have another company make the next Fallout game which is a 0% chance then Fallout is cooked
I'd rather see the Fallout franchise die, than see another Fallout game made by Bethesda or modern Obsidian. I sure as hell don't want either of those studios to remaster old Fallout games. There's a wide open market right now for a non-woke team to develop something similar to Fallout. There's a good chance if someone does, it would be better than what Bethesda would crap out.
Judging a team based entirely on vague ideological nonsense is just plain ridiculous, especially as "woke" has an extremely fluctuating definition that is entirely based on ideological extremists who hate anything that is remotely progressive.
He Would Like To Keep The Original Experience Of Fallout As Is, Leaving it Possibly to Obsidian to Do that, They are Made up of Some of the Original Developers.
Don't they continue to use an over twenty-year engine, called the Creation Engine, still? Not exactly offering any positives. Fallout 76 pretty much destroyed their image for various reasons and it doesn't seem likely that they'll ever recover at this pace.
Yes I think they're still using that old ass engine and just putting patchworks over it to make it feel like it's still ok. Also, as far as I can remember, TES 6 will still run on the Creation Engine so, we're doomed. Bethesda really doesn't deserve their IPs no more
Fallout 3 recently got updated for consoles to run at 4K 60fps. New Vegas I think is stuck at 720p for Xbox.. But nah, they're fine. I'd much rather resources be diverted anywhere else.
a weird point i want to point out is that when i play fallout 4 on high ultra resolution and graphics it runs perfectly but when i try to play starfield it won't even run without lag even on the lowest graphics (i just feel Bethesda is caring less and less about people with low end PC's as the future keeps coming)
Bethesda desperately need competition. But who is making moddable FPS RPGs?? (That are not "body type 1/2" games...) An alternative to the Creation Engine that allows for large, moddable open FPS RPG games would help... Also, Fallout: London finally released, at least, and other large fan-made Fallout projects are in progress.
Exacly, there gotta be more games like that. There are other open world rpgs but they lack stuff like character creation or mods so I end up always going back to bethesda games even tho they're slopifying.
We need a Marvel Rivals equivalent for Fallout. Look at how Blizzard is reacting after the love Marvel Rivals has been getting. Somebody needs to give Bethesda a wake up call man, tired of them just having all this power to treat us Fallout fans like this
They have some rule, for whatever reason, that they only work on one game at a time. If they're working on Elder Scrolls, they're not working on Fallout, and vice versa. It baffles me that a big company doesn't have dedicated teams for each IP.
There is absolutely no reason AAA games should be having these ridiculous development cycles. It would be one thing if after 8 years they came out as super polished super packed with content best game of all time contenders, but they still come out as rushed slop fests whether they get 2 years or 8.
Gta san andreas took 2 years to make, fallout new vegas took 18 months. I wonder why modern game developers have such strange release windows, maybe it's because of technological advancements but even back then making these games would have been as hard.
@@naimad2610I think its due to how graphically intense most games are now and cant forget about the Voice acting, heard of some strikes going on so that could lengten the wait. Games today focus too much on the graphics I will say. Im fine with now having super detail graphics in exchange for actually getting new games timely.
AI thumbnail with the same negative conjecture as a million other negative conjecture hating on Bethesda videos. At this point I'm starting to suspect people aren't even bothering to use Chatgpt to write these. They're just copy/pasting scripts.
Fallout 76 came out in 2018. Fallout 5 will probably be in 2028 when, not coincidentally, the next-gen Xbox from Microsoft is planned to be released, according to leaks. They're waiting and banking on that next gen hardware to make the kind of game they want it to be. Ten years is a long time to wait, but it's also kind of fitting. A few more years to cash in on Fallout 76 and the TV show before Fallout 5 happens. And if the next season of the show is successful, it could coincide with Season 3. Keep dreaming, Bethesda and Microsoft are never going to give up Fallout or let another studio become the main developer of it. To think otherwise is utterly delusional.
The best solution to this problem, IMHO, would be to license the IPs to other studios. When Microsoft bought Bethesda I was faintly optimistic that the executives would do exactly that. Surely, I thought, they would look at Bethesda's release schedule, say, "It's insane that you're not putting more games out!" and force Bethesda to license the IPs when no new games in a series were due for the next several years. Surely, I thought, the executives have to realize that they're tossing money away by not doing that. But, apparently not. The lesson here is "Never, ever underestimate the sheer stupidity of entertainment industry executives."
Its been 14 years since the last elder scrolls game was released to think we'll be waiting till 2028 or later is absurd it will have been damn near 20 years almost between Skyrim and TES 6!
Oh hell no don't let Obsidian touch this franchise. They are not what they used to be. Starfield isn't that bad, and lays the groundwork for some insane mods, many of which have already been released. There's already a Doom mod for this game. Heck you could build a Fallout London type world inside the Starfield universe if you wanted to.
@@shoazdon7000 I get that you are frustrated that the game wasn't up to your expectations, but mods are what keeps games alive long after studios move over to other projects. The Doom mod is actually officially endorsed by Bethesda, which means the modder got kickbacks on creating it. The Star Wars total conversion mod is a community project. Something Bethesda could never do at an official capacity because the don't own the rights. Nobody asked modders to improve the game, but it's an opportunity for them to showcase their talents and helps guide future projects and DLC's in the right direction. Not to mention some eventually get hired by the studios because they have proven their worth. Could Bethesda do a better job? Absolutely, but why kill of an entire game when there is support to bring incredible visions to life?
@@paradoxic1888 Nah I am annoyed, and I think I should have been more clear. I love mods, I wish I had a pc to get the best ones. I also respect modders a lot. They can do amazing things. @@shoazdon7000 Yeah, I have a PC. I think if I were in your position I'd be frustrated too. I can't imagine playing this without some mods. The vanilla UI is terrible for one, and the same POI's get frustrating. But there's a mod that fixes that too.
Given the fact that their arrogance is stuck in 2011 I’m not expecting much out of the elder scroll six let alone even a fallout remastered and yes, I mean the first game because that is actually the one that would most benefit from updates. Starfield was a flop. Fallout 76 is my favorite dumpster fire, but it took years and offering it for free on game pass for it to actually become something I enjoyed. And it very much so shows that Bethesda is doubling down on their practices. I doubt the elder scrolls six will learn any lessons from other games like Elden ring or Witcher three and likely will just be a prettier version of Skyrim with a different story. I hope they can commission somebody to make a fallout one remake without it becoming a nuclear disaster. Honestly, I don’t expect much out of Bethesda anymore.
At this point any game I was hyped for say 5 years ago if were still waiting ive moved on,most game companies I used to love I cant stand the sight of now. Were at a point where even if they do get released I dont know if ill ever even bother with another Elder scrolls, fallout or mass effect. All series I used to be obsessed with. Dont have any faith that the current company making these could put out anything good anymore Last night I heard about a leak of an Oblivion remaster and Oblivion is the game that got me into elder scrolls and well bethesda games over all so fallout so close behind after that and I didnt feel a thing, theyve gone to far and lets be honest a remaster wont do much as even new bestheda games dont look that amazing graphically, especially the characters . I ll be surprised if Bethesda ever gets another cent of my money
Why is everyone pretending like Starfield was a bad game lately? Maybe it's only above avarage, and very dissapointing for a Bethesda title, but it's not a bad game.

@@AJ-to8lb What the hell are you on about? What relevance does that have to Starfield sucking ass/what OP said? Bro you need to lay off the xans and sleep it off. Starfield is a disappointing game. Quests are still bugged (some of which are completely broken), many builds are still woefully underwhelming or underpowered (like melee -- still awful), companion affinity makes no sense (I would argue it's as senseless as Strong's from Fallout 4 -- and that's a super mutant of limited intelligence, not a human), the weapon design is still bugged and awkward (like the pump-action shotgun that doesn't eject shells correctly and just looks awful when cycling) and the DLC is awful and a waste of money. I put 187 hours into the game. I have experienced more than enough to provide adequate input. I WANT the game to be good, it simply isn't.
It’s really not bad. I played a good 200 hours of it. There’s the main game, and then the rogue like (sorta) part of it which I enjoyed. But when I try to play it now, I get a little sleepy, or just want to go back to fallout or skyrim
My man, you have to let Bethesda Game Studios go. They haven't made a good game since 2011's Skyrim. They're not going to make any more good games. They've already proven that with Starfield. They don't get it. They think trying to insert modern graphics and more wokeness into their game = good design. You should have absolutely ZERO expectations from them.
It’s happening to every gaming company now. Rockstar with GTA, CDPR taking 8 years to release an unfinished game which needed two more years to fix. I get that these things take time but 10 years is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for a new game. I mean, the tallest building on earth was built in 6 years! The last elder scrolls game came out in 2011. They haven’t even said a word about the next game, and fallout is going to come after the Elder scrolls unless bugthesda decide to do anymore heroics. Juicehead said it perfectly. By the time fallout 5 comes out (most likely 2033-2035), will any of us still care?
Honestly with huge team a video game should not take that long. A decent workforce should reduce the developement time by a lot but it seems it's going in the opposite way. When you think that most video games just reuse improved version of same engine this is even more weird developement times are so long (the perfect exemple here is New Vegas who was done in 18 month because the engine was same Fallout3 and the devs hard working). The hardest thing in fact might be to write a good story but you can ask as many writers as you want to write their ideas... Those companies have so much money, they have no excuses.
I think treating Fallout like some unapproachable juggernaut that can only ever be the finest is a mistake. Other devs should get to stumble around and enrich the Fallout i.p. for the sake of making more fun games in the setting.
I don't have much faith in bethesda to do anything other than another doom title because those are the only ones that have consistently been very good. Fallout in my opinion deserves to be their top IP, its easily the most interesting lore wise and with all of its possibilities. I play FO76 some but you can tell its just sort of there to churn up a bit of money, its still pretty good compared to what it used to be but its still not what I would put in the catagory of best fallout games, its just nice because its been getting consistent updates that give us new story content.. so its just more fall out, but we really need a fall out 5
For awhile before certain devs started to talk about how they hate gamers and showing their true selves I used to think games just took waaaay fucking longer to make now and there still is probably some truth to that but it really seems like theres so much bloat, toxic positivity, corpo shit and incompetence getting in the way. Ya hear about concord being in dev for 8 years but after those 8 years they basically had nothing done and other people were brought in to whip things into shape for release which didnt help much clearly.
Another issue people aren't seeing is that Microsoft doesn't push their studios hard enough, or at the very least they just let them do their own thing. Part of the reason we haven't seen anything good come from Bethesda. They've been into this comfy zone where they can keep making the same crap with no external interference. This looks good om paper, don't rush your studios to make a game faster. But they aren't really creating boundaries or goal posts for their studios. It's just "Yep, make your game and we'll release regardless of its quality. We trust that you'll make a good game."
You guys need to grow up, seriously. Stop chasing sequels because you want to feel like a teenager again. The games are out there, just under a different name.
It's already been 6 years since Bethesda dropped that Elder Scrolls 6 trailer. Seems like Bethesda doesn't know what they are doing and doesn't have its priorities allocated to more profitable projects like Fallout 5 and TES 6 ( Not being released now. ) Part of the reason though I believe is when Microsoft acquired the studio as they are more focused on money rather than putting out a single player game since there online games are making them money ( ESO and FO76 )
I found fallout 4 quite fun but it was seriously lacking with the story. One thing I didnt like tho was that due to the voiced protagonist, quest mods weren't as developed as for Skyrim.
FO4 wasn't acutally that bad. Hell, I even dare to say it was great. The biggest problem I had with FO4 was the writing which was a complete disaster. The story line is just pure trash
I always thought it would be kinda cool if you could add a fallout 3 or 4 planet into Starfield. Like you land on a planet at it's just the complete Fallout 3 in the "new" engine
5:30 honestly I don’t see a reason for Microsoft to remake fallout 3/ nv people can still play them through backwards compatibility (because Microsoft isn’t completely unneeded like Sony after the PS3). They would need to seriously add content to the original to make them worth it (and I am not talking about paid mods todd).
Microsoft and Bethesda have more meetings about this than any of us will ever know. I can assure you they are aware of the revenue potential and have something in the works sooner than we think.
I cant wait to meet all the strong female leaders of all the factions in the wasteland (except the bad ones ofcourse) just like in Fallout 76. You have no idea how difficult it was to replace Paladin Leila Rahmani with Daniel Shin. The game was like "Are you sure? She really is misunderstood. Are you sure? Are you really sure? I mean she doesn have a point. Are you... FINE!!!"
Lazy remasters of a game that I've played 100s hours of already that you have to pay £60 for?? No thanks. Nothing wrong with them either apart from the crashing, bugs, stutter, etc but that's just Bethesda games anyway... A remaster won't help. Fallout 1/2 OK due to their age (pretty sure modders are on that) but they should be making games and not being so lazy. Or maybe not because they won't be good lol.
No hope for Bethesda making a good Fallout game after the disappointment that was Fallout 4 (it is fun to play when modded though) Fallout 76 and Starfield. Their passion is gone like most of the AAA devs out there today. But I have been playing Fallout London and it is a fun game, easily the best Fallout game since New Vegas.
Fallout 4 was so bad that it pushed me to the Witcher 3 and Metro series. I played 2033 on 360 before, but didn't play it long, so I got back into the series later on.
I actually really enjoy fallout 4 still. On a new playthrough right now. I just want some better companions that won't ruin my stealth constantly and a better control system for them. Maybe something more like far cry and how you have a button to send them out and can call them back with it as well. I just wound up leaving Dogmeat in Sanctuary. I would maybe try and tell him to wait in a spot but I don't want to go back to grab him later so it would be nice to have a whistle button or something so I could tell him to catch up. I really enjoy the settlement option too. Once you can connect them with supply lines it really feels like you're rebuilding the Commonwealth with a real structure. Farming settlement, factory, militaristic, trading hub, etc. There's a reason it's there and fits so well imo, but they did the smart thing and made it so you can basically ignore it most of the time if you want. This is how Bethesda should always think. What can they put in for those who want a deeper involvement in the world that fits and won't get in the way of more traditional and simple tasted fans? Love it. More options are always welcome as long as they fit.
I wonder why they takes them so long to make Fallout 5? It's because Fallout 5 is going to have to be a completely new entity story wise they just can't do the reverse of Fallout 3 again honestly I really think Fallout 4 stories sucks but gameplay is amazing (but till buggy at times) I don't know maybe they ask obsidian to do another game for them oh and also Bethesda give obsidian their bonus this time no matter what because they had barely anything to work with with Fallout New Vegas and it turned out 10 times better story-wise then any other Fallout game that you all have made I do love Bethesda but goddamn can they get on my nerves like for real you work in a video game company you literally get paid to be creative and build a whole world granted you have time restraints and deadlines but other than that you have a dream job put love in your work please and don't haff bake it !!!
That would be nice... if Obsidian hadn't fallen off. They made a few bangers and gave up. The brilliant minds behind Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 1 & 2 are long gone. Now all we have are... mindless zombies. Miserably sobbing at their desk as they make yet another cash grab or storyless game... But who knows, maybe Bethesda could actually get its sh*t together and make something good. Like Fallout 76 after it FINALLY got fixed up. It was really funny to see the bugs at launch though.
i feel like the fact that they take so much time is good i just played oblivion since really long time and this game is made with and out of love and u can feel it i really hope the new games also are full out of effort and made with time cause good healthy things usually take time
The only way anything to do with fallout 3 or new vegas is gonna be worth playing is a complete remake, not a remastered version, remastered means the only thing there gonna do is give you the same old same old with slightly better graphics, remake is them actually remaking every part, removing bugs and putting home improvement with the dlcs in the game, a remake would be fantastic if the developer put effort into like including something simple like ADS for the weapons something that actually makes you wanna play the remake version over the og version
After the last FO4 update, I don't think anyone is excited about a FO3 remake (if made by Bethesda). Bethesda seems to like to break an existing half working game and then just walking away from it, leaving fans high and dry with a broken hot mess. That's not cool at all
1. Remakes don't increase the delivery date for FO5... 2.Best solution: a separate Dev Studios for each IP. Requires someone (MS) to force Todd out. This would probably require a third Engine Dev studio... like Id. Because Todd isn't gonna retire the Creation Engine.
Anyone else think they should hire Tim Cain and go the route of fallout new Vegas, there's a reason so many people prefer that game over the newer fallouts.
I'm sure there is some developer outside of Bethesda developing something or at least, soon will be. I don't believe that Microsoft would let Fallout die like this, being such a highly valued IP.
When you're making an RPG as massive as Elder Scrolls or Fallout, it's going to take time. Trust me, I've been waiting for ES6 since Skyrim, but finding the perfect balance for an RPG is pretty hard in this day and age
i have never been so bored of game releases, every release has issues that people point out and things still slowly change. i dont care about remasters or future games, EVERY studio is feeling the repercussions of hiring based on identity. i barely care about gta 6 also, i dont wanna play a 500 dollar console for one game, and they do have the ability to work on PC releases, its total BS that these companies still have rabid fans defending every action taken.
They definitely need to assign IPs to appropriate studios. One studio for Fallout and (I guess) Bethesda for Elder Scrolls. They need to stick to what they know and focus on good storytelling and consequential player decisions. Having them work together is not a bad thing either. One could be better with programming while the other could focus on storytelling. They really need to take inspiration from collaborative studios like Toys for Bob and Beenox. They're always working together on different projects, and have been making great titles recently because of it.
after Fallout76 and Starfield, why is anyone still expecting anything?
Bethesda is not good at making games full stop.

Whales?
"[FO76] as nevertheless become, in Bethesda's eyes"
Its running out of steam, they milked it to the end.

2035??? So the real nuclear fallout is more likely than Fallout 5...

And now we can't even know how's it's doing until we at least get something new from Fallout.

Oh, I like Fallout 4. It is a great game, not in many aspects, but everything tells a story, there are interesting skills, and a bunch of cool guns.

Just get whichever studio that Tim Cain is currently working with to do the next Fallout game.
Why should modders do Bethesda’s work for them
@@shoazdon7000 I get that you are frustrated that the game wasn't up to your expectations, but mods are what keeps games alive long after studios move over to other projects.
My issue is with Bethesda because they know that they can do a half arse job, and some modders out there will sort it out.
@@shoazdon7000 Yeah, I have a PC. I think if I were in your position I'd be frustrated too. I can't imagine playing this without some mods. The vanilla UI is terrible for one, and the same POI's get frustrating. But there's a mod that fixes that too.

A fallout 3 & New vegas remaster gonna doit for me this gen
Oblivion remaster coming in 2025, and not far off. Have heard nothing on fallout, other than more content for 76
At this point any game I was hyped for say 5 years ago if were still waiting ive moved on,most game companies I used to love I cant stand the sight of now. Were at a point where even if they do get released I dont know if ill ever even bother with another Elder scrolls, fallout or mass effect. All series I used to be obsessed with. Dont have any faith that the current company making these could put out anything good anymore
Last night I heard about a leak of an Oblivion remaster and Oblivion is the game that got me into elder scrolls and well bethesda games over all so fallout so close behind after that and I didnt feel a thing, theyve gone to far and lets be honest a remaster wont do much as even new bestheda games dont look that amazing graphically, especially the characters . I ll be surprised if Bethesda ever gets another cent of my money
Why is everyone pretending like Starfield was a bad game lately? Maybe it's only above avarage, and very dissapointing for a Bethesda title, but it's not a bad game.
Welcome to modern day gamer culture where hate, misogyny, and bigotry silences rational thought every time (I say that as a life-long, first-gen gamer who rejects what gamer culture has become).

Modern gaming discourse in a nutshell.
@@AJ-to8lb What relevance does that have?
AI thumbnail = invalid video
Maybe name examples instead of telling people to "grow up" if you really believe what you're saying?
It's already been 6 years since Bethesda dropped that Elder Scrolls 6 trailer.
Seems like Bethesda doesn't know what they are doing and doesn't have its priorities allocated to more profitable projects like Fallout 5 and TES 6 ( Not being released now. ) Part of the reason though I believe is when Microsoft acquired the studio as they are more focused on money rather than putting out a single player game since there online games are making them money ( ESO and FO76 )
giving how s*** was fo4 no wonder
Game was a disappointment but fun with mods
@@Nomad-bl4yw if you need mods to make a game fun ...
what am i saying, *GOD BLESS THE ENCLAVE! GOD BLESS AMERICA!*
I found fallout 4 quite fun but it was seriously lacking with the story. One thing I didnt like tho was that due to the voiced protagonist, quest mods weren't as developed as for Skyrim.
@@naimad2610 FNV was an upgrade to Fo3 while Fo4 has new mechanics but also cut out mechanics like different ammo types
As a huge Fallout fan
Considering how shitty 4 and 76 were, I’ve lost all hope for Fallout 5 years ago
After the release of Stalker 2 im sad to say that im moving on from Fallout. After the recent bethesda flops. My hopes for FO5 and ES6 are crushed.
For chrissakes, stop using the terms remake and remaster interchangeably! They're different!
After the way they screwed up Fallout 4 with the May update, no one in their right mind would buy a Fallout 5.
Dude what's with the AI Thumbnail?
5:30 honestly I don’t see a reason for Microsoft to remake fallout 3/ nv people can still play them through backwards compatibility (because Microsoft isn’t completely unneeded like Sony after the PS3). They would need to seriously add content to the original to make them worth it (and I am not talking about paid mods todd).
Just play indie
Microsoft and Bethesda have more meetings about this than any of us will ever know. I can assure you they are aware of the revenue potential and have something in the works sooner than we think.
AI Thumbnail?
Over customization and reliance on the player to make their own world killed the magic of exploration in their games.
AI SLOP THUMBNAIL WOOOOOO
I cant wait to meet all the strong female leaders of all the factions in the wasteland (except the bad ones ofcourse) just like in Fallout 76.
You have no idea how difficult it was to replace Paladin Leila Rahmani with Daniel Shin. The game was like "Are you sure? She really is misunderstood. Are you sure? Are you really sure? I mean she doesn have a point. Are you... FINE!!!"
Here’s the question though where would fallout 5 take place
Pre-production? That means... they do not have squat. Maybe pissing off the talent that made these games by not paying them was a bad idea.
Yeah lol, that was 4 years ago
i feel like the fact that they take so much time is good i just played oblivion since really long time and this game is made with and out of love and u can feel it i really hope the new games also are full out of effort and made with time cause good healthy things usually take time
I just can't believe that their game engine can be used to make a good remaster or remake or do anything at all
The only way anything to do with fallout 3 or new vegas is gonna be worth playing is a complete remake, not a remastered version, remastered means the only thing there gonna do is give you the same old same old with slightly better graphics, remake is them actually remaking every part, removing bugs and putting home improvement with the dlcs in the game, a remake would be fantastic if the developer put effort into like including something simple like ADS for the weapons something that actually makes you wanna play the remake version over the og version
I WAS a big fan of Fallout, but after the 76 fiasco. I dont want anything to do with them.
Best move for sooner than later would be a remaster bundle for Fallout 3 AND New Vegas at the same time.
Yeah sorry but I can’t take anyone seriously who uses an AI image as a thumbnail
I am all for someone else taking over the fallout franchise from bathesda
i have never been so bored of game releases, every release has issues that people point out and things still slowly change. i dont care about remasters or future games, EVERY studio is feeling the repercussions of hiring based on identity. i barely care about gta 6 also, i dont wanna play a 500 dollar console for one game, and they do have the ability to work on PC releases, its total BS that these companies still have rabid fans defending every action taken.
We all finna be dead by the time this shid comes out😭😭😭😫😫🤣
I think Bethesda “farting around for too long” completely sums it up.
