@Donbeiren Thank you for watching! I'll be doing some more watch vids. I have a couple more GShocks to go and of course I'm still acquiring timepieces. Thanks!
Congratulations on the video, mate! And by the clocks too! You were brilliant !!! I was amazed at your presentation and with these watches! Could you do more presentations with the other models? I am a passionate fan of these Casio watch models. I still have no condition to buy them, but God willing I will still have a collection of them. Congratulations, very successful! One more subscriber on your channel! If I could give more than one like, I would !!!
@TheLazySpoiledKitty Yeah it's kind of weird to do anything but a knife review for me.:) But I love timepieces also! I'm sure you'll get yourself the perfect watch (or watches), we are all on a quest for the perfect effects. Gotta get the watch that has the perfect blend of aesthetics and function. Thanks for watching!
You calibrate it the temperatures off your wrist on all the watches but while you’re handling the Riseman, it’s being in contact with your skin or body temp and that’s why the temperature readings off.
@ZAPTAPPER1 Thanks! I haven't really been wearing the Riseman very much. The Pathfinder 1500 has taken the role of main EDC.I don't really use the altimeter function very much though. But you're right I should calibrate it just in case I ever need it for anything. GShocks are awesome and your brother is lucky to receive one as a gift! Thanks for watching!
@rainscroll I've been using it off and on, yes, I have been bumping into things ocassionally but the watch has held up and still retains the original functions. The GShocks are meant to take some abuse so I don't think you have much to worry about. The sensor is encased within the watch case I think, the external bit is for looks mainly. Thanks for watching!
@X4CTO Thank you sir, you're too kind with your compliments! Yeah I was worried at first because the other Riseman's were atomic/solar. Thanks for putting my mind at ease! I really like the grey/black instead of the black/red motif. But I wish it had the atomic feature as well. More watches on the way! Thanks for watching!
@MrSummerdaze When I scroll through the zones, I found DEL, but not SIN or PHU. Maybe there is a time zone that's close to the other two places which can be selected.
You're welcome brother! The atomic feature really is nice, but I have a few solar only G's and I don't miss the atomic feature as much as I thought I would honestly... I just keep them set according to my atomics, and the G's stay pretty accurate. Can't wait to see what other watches are coming bro.
Dang it! Jason!! how am I going to wing myself off my watch adiction if you and X4CTO keep posting sweet watch videos!!!! =-D ya know I cannot resist clicking the video!!! I almost hit the trigger button on the Casio Riseman a few days ago, but I couldn't find any there are made 100% in japan... Got my Eye on a Citizen Eco-Drive Super Chrono =-) thanks love these videos!
No worries, I know certain GShocks have that feature, in fact I have a 9700 series GShock that allows for that. The Riseman is a very good watch IMO, I'm sure you'll love it!
That's a hell of a watch. I believe the atomic one would be the GW-9200. This is definitely an authentic G brother. This is one of their military inspired watches if I'm not mistaken, they have an awesome military edition 6900 that I want too. I really can't say there's anything on a Riseman (or any of the Masters of G collection) that I don't like, love them all! Thanks for sharing bro, loving the watches... you have as good a taste in timepieces as you do in cutlery! =)
@X4CTO For real on the backlights! I wish you could just hold the button down and keep it on. And the back light turns off prematurely if you press a button before it shuts off. I really like the 1500 Pathfinder. It has everything the 1300 does plus the tide and moon feature. But it's also larger (52mm case I think) and the numbers on the display are slightly smaller than the 1300. I think it's worth it if you really need the tide/moon graph.
They are two different things. Multi Band 6 is the Atomic timekeeping feature in which the watch will sync with and correct the time automatically with one of the 6 towers around the world. The Full auto EL Light feature turns on the back light automatically when you lift your wrist and rotate it towards your head (basically just bringing the watch up to check the time). It will turn on automatically if it's too dark.
@vandho2009 No problem, both of them are on my list to make vids of. I'll upload it as soon as I can:) Thanks for confirming that this Riseman is the real one! Thanks for watching!
@deceptivepanther Thanks man! You're too kind! I know very little about watches, especially analog ones. But I'm learning as I go! Thanks for watching!
The back light. I think with that one you can set time of light for 1 LT, OR 3 LT? Please let me know if you can. Thank You. I am getting one of these in my collection. Great job on the video. Keep them coming.
Thanks for the review,.. and about the back light i think you can change the time from 1 sec to 3 sec, it gives you the option to change the time of the back light when you are setting up the time..... try that bcz i 3 casio wrist watches and all of them gives me the same option i.e. to change the back light time from 1sec to 3 sec. #Peace
@darkchild57 I think if you calibrate the altimeter it will work quite well, Or at least it will give a general guide. Just don't use it for parachute jumps! I have had my for just over a year and I really like it. I bought my brother a G-Shock for his birthday. It's the model that can record E-Mails and phone numbers and a few others things. He really likes it. Great review by the way.
Really depends...do you need the digital compass? If not you could save yourself a bit of money and go with the Riseman (well depends on the version of the Riseman though).
Hello just to let you now that you do have a real G-Shock and you got Good selection of watches I got all the G-Shocks and Casio and more good stuff keep up the good work
I agree about the backlights on most of them as well, some of the G's give you the option to set the light between 1.5 and 3 seconds I believe... I would love that on all of them. I would like 3 seconds on my solar watches at least. Love those Pathfinders too! How are you liking that 1500? I started to get that one when I got my 1300. Are there any really jaw dropping benefits of the 1500 over the 1300? They both look excellent.
@wankstankonia Yes it does, it's part of the "Baro", barometer, function. The Pathfinders are bit too much so this watch is a great choice if you do not need all the other stuff. Thanks for watching!
Yes you have the atomic version. I found that they made both. I've been assured that this is a genuine Riseman. So far it has functioned exactly like it should have.
@Donbeiren I got this watch on Amazon, but this is the more expensive version because of the limited status. I just checked the site and the prices have gone up again. Sorry man! The version I got was 186 and the normal solar/atomic version is currently 141. But still a lot cheaper than the atomic/solar Pathfinders that I showed in this video.
The back light. I think with that one you can set time of light for 1 LT, OR 3 LT? Please let me know if you can. Thank You. I am getting one of these in my collection.
The back light. I think with that one you can set time of light for one seconds or three seconds? Please let me know. I am getting one of these in my collection.
Your path-finders are really cool man, I'm thinkin of findin a good deal on eBay and buy it... Could you do a review of the path-finder and show the compasson funtions and all.. Thanks!! and btw that gshock is dope and absolutely a real one i've seen the model in the gshock website
I think that would be a good lighting system as well... I wish they would make it where the light could switch modes, that would be nice. That 1500 Pathfinder is a good looking watch, and while I already have a Gulfman and Rescue G with the tide and moon on it, I might have to get one... even though it's not necessary, haha. I guess the 20 or so G Shocks I have are not really necessary either. lol.
I usually just use the stopwatch for my lunches and breaks. But you're right, it only has 1 countdown timer. You would have to reset the timer for each time.
@tanmonkid Thanks! I was getting worried after I received the watch. But I have heard that Amazon is one of the better places to buy watches from. Thanks again!
@wankstankonia I'm not an expert at GShock watches but I'm sure there are other limited editions that feature that same look of the G button. I'm glad you're going to stick with the watch, it's a great timepiece and I'm sure you won't be disappointed! Take care!
@takenomorimonster I haven't had the pleasure of playing with a Tissot yet. I have seen a variety of reviews on them here. I'll have to stop by my local watch store and try it out.
Your g shock riseman is not fake.i confirmed it with casio store.it is just not the japanese version which is the atomic one.and also the more expensive one.the one who said its fake do not really know what is real and fake.japanese version has a flying squirrel on the back instead of a dragon.

Looks like the real thing to me. Yep G9200 is solar version, GW are solar & atomic version. So far as I know all Casio GW watches are solar & atomic. Nice review.

@MountainMonsters Lol, sorry! Well I hate to tell you this but I have some more watches still:) Citizen's are really nice watches man! I've got my eye on a Diver watch from them as well as a Seiko 5. Ah, so many watches so little time:) Thanks for watching!

@xcRaD28 That's weird... but actually it's been happening to me as well. I'll try to post and it won't do it until I log out and back in again. Sometimes I can just head to my other computer and it'll post fine...freaking YT sometimes!
2:20 -$60.00 - $70.00 I wish , not anymore. These watches went up in value when Casio stopped making them just before the Rangeman came out in 2013. I paid $140.00 for the atomic/solar version ( GW-9200 ) in 2012 , I could sell it for over $300.00 today. I wore it maybe 5 times until I found out there value was going up and I stopped wearing it. It looks brand new , not a scratch on it. The one thing I noticed on mine , on the back plate I have the usual dragon , but mine was made in JAPAN not Thailand. 95% of the regular RISEMANS in black w/red accents say Made In Thailand.
@Donbeiren Thank you for watching! I'll be doing some more watch vids. I have a couple more GShocks to go and of course I'm still acquiring timepieces. Thanks!

Loving the Watch reviews, keep it up.
great review and a very good watch, looking forward to some more casio watch reviews, like the frogman and mudman.
Nice review man, THanks.

@BradHohenheim Yes to both. In the individual modes you can change between those options.
@TheBootieChrist It indicates rise/fall barometric pressure. It can be switched from a dotted graph to an arrow.
You calibrate it the temperatures off your wrist on all the watches but while you’re handling the Riseman, it’s being in contact with your skin or body temp and that’s why the temperature readings off.

Nice choice! It's a really nice watch, lightweight also! I hope you enjoy it!
Thank You. I will be getting one in my collection.
@darkchild57
Thanks!! Ill stick to the order. I really liked the brush metal G button. I guess this is the only watch you can find it in!!
You can set the time of the backlight to 3 seconds if you hold the adjust button and go though settings look in the manual
@MrSummerdaze When I scroll through the zones, I found DEL, but not SIN or PHU. Maybe there is a time zone that's close to the other two places which can be selected.

These are the best watch reviews that I have found on TH-cam and it's only Darkchild's second or third go!
@Gmp211 Thanks for your suggestion.

It's used for the altimeter and the thermometer.
@DRU623 Cool:) Thanks for confirming that!
Thank you, appreciate that:)

@woncho1 Thanks for verifying that for me:) Thanks for watching!
I just went through the online user manual for this watch and I don't find anything that allows you to set the illumination duration.
I think that would be a good lighting system as well... I wish they would make it where the light could switch modes, that would be nice.

I usually just use the stopwatch for my lunches and breaks. But you're right, it only has 1 countdown timer. You would have to reset the timer for each time.
How do you turn on the auto light
@vankilsing No I did not get this for 70$, I said I've seen the regular versions for as low as 70$, this version is quite a bit more expensive.
Take care!
@L1v2d1 The watch is pretty thin considering it's a GShock but it's not bad. Probably the GW-7900 is what you're looking for. Thanks for watching!
It's a very nice watch, Did you calibrate the altimeter?
@takenomorimonster I haven't had the pleasure of playing with a Tissot yet. I have seen a variety of reviews on them here. I'll have to stop by my local watch store and try it out.
it only has one countdown timer so how do u ti,me lunches and breaks? are there multiple countdown alarms for I.e 15 and 6o minutes?
this one is my favorite of the g shock so far. i just wish it looked bulkier or sumthing
Your g shock riseman is not fake.i confirmed it with casio store.it is just not the japanese version which is the atomic one.and also the more expensive one.the one who said its fake do not really know what is real and fake.japanese version has a flying squirrel on the back instead of a dragon.
Sorry keep hitting the send button on my iPad (just below the backspace). In the UK it's around the £100 Mark ($160). :-) in the video the watch looks well made ie. High quality so it's real, if it feels solid to you that's another sign of it's originality. Hope this put your mind at ease! Keep up with the good work. Cheers.
Wonder if suunto are more precision wise, or if it is a myth, know casio aren't meant for that but still. Awesome to see a barometer in a G-shock, as you said they should make a more complete G-shock with all functions (possibly more pleasing to the eye hehe, i dont like risemans one). It's not a fake. I have the exact same watch, and its been like 4 years. I think I messed my barometer sensor up -as the graph no longer shows up in that circle, after I last changed my bezel. It keeps showing me "error: whenever I'm in the barometer setting. Can anyone help me get this sorted out?
It would involve taking the caseback off but the sensor is attached to the main circuitboard via a small ribbon cable, possibly that has come loose? If you google 'gw9200 sensor error' it should throw up more tips, watchuseek is a good resource for things like this. :)
@MountainMonsters Lol, sorry! Well I hate to tell you this but I have some more watches still:) Citizen's are really nice watches man! I've got my eye on a Diver watch from them as well as a Seiko 5. Ah, so many watches so little time:) Thanks for watching!
It is the atomic version it's got multiband 6 on the crown of your bezel
can u change it to 12hr time and can it measure in metres?
hi! i think you did get either a afke or chinese version. I have one(black with red accents) it does everything yours does but at the top it says multi band 6 and not full auto el light
@TheBootieChrist Wikipedia would have a better explanation, but this function on the watch will give you indications of weather trends. If the graph/arrow points up then chances are the weather will be nice, if it it points down then the the weather is going to be stormy.
Kinda weird to watch a WATCH review from you :P. But great watch, i need to get myself a decent watch someday. Great review!!!
@just3half3evil3 Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
what does the sensor do?
According to Casio's site it's 50.0 x 45.8 x 12.3mm
Normally Risemans are atomic radio controlled.
Since yours doesn't seem fake to me, I think that maybe it is cheaper version made for Contries where there is no atomic signal, or some kind of older/prototype version.
About the altimeter: it is normal that two watch have different readings as long as you don't calibrate them (or have them calibrated at different times).
Since all altimeters depends on barometric pressure, they are greatly influenced by changes in the weather (the only exceptions are gps altimeters which take the readings from the satellites)
What's the case size on the EIFICE?
@zim01001 If you mean precise timekeeping, I'm not too sure, I don't own a Suunto. But the regular Riseman is atomic, so it keeps very accurate time. I own 3 other Casio atomic watches and they are dead on. I'm still waiting on a GShock Pathfinder:) As for durability, these are suppose to be one of the most toughest watches out there. They feature shock protection all around the vital parts. But even non GShock Casios are durable, I've banged my Pathfinder around and it still works!
When did he took off his Edifice watch ???
@ZAPTAPPER1 At the time of recording this vid the Altimeter was not calibrated.
@LordGandor3 It is pretty comfortable if this is the only watch you have. But by comparison my Casio PAW-1300 and 1500 are much more comfy for all day wear.
@Schmidt54 Lol, yeah it does look futuristic! Too bad it doesn't have lasers and stuff lol:)
these watches are so rare now ... I'm trying to find one
one more question man, where did you find this deal, I actually like the one you bought, the one without the atomic feature and save some bucks. thanks !
@darkchild57 your welcome!
in some casios like mine(ga 100) yo can set 1 or 3 sec of light duration
Where did u purchase it for $60-$70? Cheapest I found was $140 for the regular one
hello there.. btw whats the different between Multi Band 6 and Full auto El light?
Its not fake..
Its just an old model..
@xcRaD28 That's weird... but actually it's been happening to me as well. I'll try to post and it won't do it until I log out and back in again. Sometimes I can just head to my other computer and it'll post fine...freaking YT sometimes!
As far as I'm aware of there isn't a way to turn it off.
@Crayjoey where'd you find it that low??? tell me your secrets lol
Is it comfortable to wear all day ?
@BradHohenheim Not big, just under 7 inches.
@gaveintothedarkness Thanks for the info, appreciate it:)
