    I always love your FO's from the vault....The one you made for your mum is outstanding! I cant remember how you learned to knit, If you've told us or not? Your Felix is going to be gorgeous! Thats definately in my queue, Im currently knitting my first Half and Half triangle wrap which is so so good for destressing...I"ve noticed when I start all the tension goes out of my shoulders, I breathe deeper and relaxation is instant! Initially it was a palette cleanser between jumpers, I've just received some exquisite Nutiden so I might divide my time between the H&H and a new jumper project. Your orange ranunculus really lights you up, its absolutely gorgeous. So sorry to hear about Alex's parking ticket on top of her bingle..super expensive lessons, I hope it doesnt dint her confidence too much. Glad to hear your Maths presentation went well. Thanks so much for this podcast. Have a great week!

      Hi Kazwah
      I just looked up that Half and Half Triangle Wrap thinking I could always use a good destress knitting project. Oh my! It is gorgeous and looks so lovely and cosy. I'm off on a rabbit hole of choosing yarn now. ;)
      Thank you for all your thoughts - it makes this podcast feel more like a conversation, which i love. x

    I just love your podcast, it’s always so full and joyful. Your Mums sweater you knitted is gorgeous and can’t believe you knitted it at a early age, also the colours are beautiful. Have a lovely week ❤

    Choosing colours for your shawl, it’s hard isn’t it? What one person likes another person may not! Such a personal choice and you’ll know when it’s right for you, I really dislike being confused! Glad your daughter is all safe and well, wow what a start, poor thing, hopefully that’s all the bad luck out of the way for a long time.
    That top you made your mum when you were 15 is amazing. What a lovely gift, so very clever but also how lovely she kept after all these years.
    Have a great week, thanks for sharing and keeping me company while I knit and see you next time, Karen 💕

      Thanks so much Karen. I dont like being confused and unsure either. That is why i love the second sleeve and sock and probably repeat knits, too. I kind of know what to expect. It can be dangerous when i just assume 2 different yarns will work the same way with the same pattern which is what happened with my second Olive. Wollmeise Twin is MUCH heavier than the Pure... Hope you have a great week too. :)

    Another enjoyable episode, pleased that your daughter is ok and having those little knocks so early on is a learning curve! I have nearly finished my Ingals jumper. You have inspired me to seek out the Felix pullover. I have some Aran weight yarn which is 100% Shetland yarn. Hopefully will be a good match. Have a good week, see you in episode 20

      Thanks so much Janice. I LOVE the colours in your Ingalls. Thanks for posting on Instagram with the hashtag.I forgot to mention the KAL on this episode. I'll make that a regular section of the podcast until the end of winter when it wraps up. Looking forward to seeing the Felix pullover if you end up making it. :)

    The color of your ranunculus is stunning. I feel that going into winter you will enjoy wearing it as it will brighten those gloomy days. I have tried twice to start this beautiful garment and can't understand how 60 stitches joined in the round will fit over my head? Your feedback will be most welcome. Keep knitting those things which bring you joy and thank you for sharing with all of us other knitters around the world. Cheers, Jacqueline (currently living in Mongolia)

      Hi Jacqueline. This is definitely one where you can trust the pattern. If you do the cast on recommended in the pattern (I have a tutorial for it), it is plenty big enough to go over your head. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a lovely comment. :)

    Thanks so much for the Ranunculus yarn estimate Tash! I’ve nearly finished my current WIP (a fair isle jumper for my daughter, lots of trying on & ripping back ) and will then be casting on my first Ranunculus. 😃
    Thanks for another fabulous episode and I adore that your mum has held on yo your first knit! ❤️🧶

    Wonderful episode!!! 😩 my granddaughter just got her driver license yesterday! How awful for your daughter. So much so soon for her. Of course I got my first speeding ticket when I was 16 the second when I was 35. Not one since 😂 guess it’s better to get them out of the way! Nice to get your test results back all clear! 🙌

      Thanks so much Julie. I hope all goes well for your granddaughter. I am hoping this is an early lesson for Alex in a small way to be careful and how much damage cars can do at low speeds. Better than an accident at high speed... x

    It is very sweet of your mother to still have the sweater you knit for her. I think you did a very nice job on the intarsia. It is funny how I also jumped into intarsia, a 3 colour houndstooth check vest for my husband as one of my first projects many years ago. I knew nothing about gauge or working with colours and it turned out pretty good. Love your podcasts!

    I so enjoy your podcasts Tash 😊 I love how organized you are with your knitting and how quickly you whip up project after project, it takes me forever and often I get sidetracked by new projects and then it's hard to get back to the old ones, mentally tiring to get back into it, etc. I am curious to find out what happened with the cumulus tee...suspense....(don't tell me I will find out in the next episodes) it is a bummer about the size...I love the sweater you knit for your mum, that is so sweet and wow what a knit to do as a beginner! as for the teaching part, I am just like you about learning how to not be so hard with myself, I am actively working on being more compassionate with myself, the way we speak to ourselves is SO important, and we can be so harsh without even being aware of it, while being kind and loving to others...💚

    • @mostlyknitting
      @mostlyknitting  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much. I am so glad you are enjoying the podcast. I won't do any spoilers with the Cumulus or other projects. You can watch the progression as they unfold. Thank you for taking the time to go back and watch the older ones. I do the same when I find a podcaster I really enjoy. I am always delighted when they have a back catalogue for me to watch. Probably why i like watching TV shows that have been going for years. I have whole seasons to watch whenever I have time. Yes, I think it is really important for us to notice that "Inner Critic" and not believe everything it tells us. We can notice it, but it doesnt make everything true. And we often speak to ourselves in ways we would never think about or speak to someone else. Take good care. x

    Glad to hear you're healthy and well. I love working from home on Fridays - i can indulge with a podcast at lunchtime! Your gorgeous ranunculus is tempting me to try one. I believe you pronounce Maxim's surname as 'sear' as in sear a steak. He has a podcast as well, Les Garcons which is quite fun. Hope you enjoy the weekend 😊

      Thanks so much for the tips on pronunciation. I do like to get it right when it is someone's name. Thanks for letting me know he has a podcast as well. I will have to check that out. Have a great weekend. :)

    You did a fantastic job knitting that in your early teens, wow. I also use to whip stitch my knitted garments same as yours. Can't remember if that was the done thing or not. Love your ranunculus sweater, it's beautiful.

    Bahaha! Your 15 yo knit looks pretty good to me! Let me tell you about my 20 something year old knit where I made a jumper for my now husband and I divided the neck off to the side😂 !!!! I am surprised he still married me…..another great episode! I am curious how much time do you spend knitting in a day? You are so fast!

    The ranunculus is looking beautiful. Love the colour . Are you holding two strands of Yarn together? Did you buy the Julie Asselian yarn in Australia? Or online ….sorry for all the questions I am just trying to find yarn to start my own Ranunculus . Have a good week 😊

    • @mostlyknitting
      @mostlyknitting  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jayne. You can always ask me questions. I am holding the yarn double. I bought the yarn at my LYS Skein Sisters in Sydney but I dont think they are carrying it anymore. Which is a shame as it is beautiful and soft and it came in gorgeous colours. Hope you find a lovely yarn for yours. :)
