I use a rubber mallet and leave a bolt on the flywheel to unstick it. The bolt prevents the flywheel from falling. Nice video !

Thanks for the kind words. As for the clutch chatter, it is often caused by contaminated friction surfaces like oil from the rear main seal or perhaps oily hands during installation. Another thing to check would be worn or broken engine mounts, loose bell housing bolts, or a damaged clutch cable and linkage. Best of luck! Have a great day!

Loved every minute of your video. Very knowledgeable. I had the same kit installed in my 01 gt. I do have a good bit of chatter though. What would you recommend sir?

This particular kit did not come with a spacer, I have seen them for hydraulic systems on the slave cylinder, but not for cable systems. Did your kit come with one? If so, what kit did you purchase?

Hi matt thoroughly enjoyed the video just one question though. What type of grease is used when greasing the splines and input shaft and all that?

    • @mattsautomotivechannel

I used a wheel bearing grease but you could use brake caliper grease as well, so long as it is made for high temperature, because you do not what the lubricant to turn thin when it heats up and drip off. There is also a specific spline grease for this very application that is included with some clutch kits and if not, you can purchase this grease at most automotive part stores.

@@mattsautomotivechannel Hey Matt, I cleaned the pressure plate with Brakes Clean and wiped with microfiber cloth so there should be no oil whatsoever. It did leave tiny little hairs from the cloth all over it but I already put it all together. Is this a concern or will it be ok. Also I torqued the bolts to 30flbs even though it says 24. I don't think it has to be exact, the bolts didn't break or strip out the threads.
