I cried at the end. It's very touching. I think the point is "the magic inside you is the strongest magic of all", like Star and Marco's love is so strong that their worlds collide. And what a great twist. Season1: Star came to earth to train for magic to become a princess of Mewni. Now: No magic. No princesses. Just normal humans. In my opinion, she just wants to live a normal fun life. And finally she gets a life she deserved;)

Here’s how I personally would’ve handled the ending: When we see Star and Marco slowly walking to each other at the end of the episode, instead we have them shout each other’s names, run to each other, and tackle each other to the ground, embracing in a long hug. As they continue to hold each other, with smiles and tears in their eyes: Marco: “Oh my God, Star! I thought I’d never see you again!” Star: “It’s ok, Marco. I’m here now. We’ll never be separated ever again.” Marco: “How? How did this happen?” *Flashback to the Season 1 finale of Glossaryck saying “You can cleave something apart, or you can cleave something together.”* Marco: “Glossaryck. This must’ve been his last trick. He knew this would happen.” Star: “Yeah. Clever Glossaryck.”. The two of them continue to hold each other in their arms, and start to look each other in the eyes, still with tears and smiles. Marco: “But you were right about what you said in the Magic Realm: “With or without magic.....” Star: “.....We belong together.” The two then lean into each other for a long kiss. As they continue kissing, the music kicks in, and the camera slowly pans up towards the sky, where we see airplanes and dragon cycles flying side by side. The camera then pans further up, ending the show with a shot of the regular moon back to normal, with the magic heart sparkle around it (Just like at the end of the pilot episode in the very first season.). The screen fades to black, and the credits roll. And as the credits roll, we stay on one shot that shows both Earth and Mewni being cleaved together. Boom. End of the show. Maybe we could get a 5th season where everyone deals with Earth and Mewni being merged together. Maybe Tom starts dating Janna? Maybe Jackie starts dating that one European girl from the episode “Britta’s Tacos”? Maybe King Globgor, Queen Eclipsa, and Princess Meteora start having a peace treaty with the U.S. government? Maybe there’s still more wiggle room for a different kind of magic that we’ve never seen before, since Star and Marco created their own magic? While the magic may be gone, there’s still endless possibilities for Earth and Mewni being cleaved together, hinting at a 5th season.
I’m late, but here’s my ending to the series: Cutscene to “3 days later” Star and Marco board an 3-engined airplane with winglets. Marco puts their luggage in the overhead bins. Someone is yelling to get off the aircraft because something very bad might happen. Star gets confused but ignores the warning. The trijet departs LAX (since Echo Creek-now Earthni is set in Los Angeles) The rest would be TBA.
At least most of our favorite characters stayed alive. But I cried when: 1.glossaryk died 2. Heckapoo died Honestly What not sad when rhombulas died Rhombulas fans( if there are any) please don’t come after me.😅😅😅😅
I have something that could be a sequel, or something like it. Instead of a new season, it could be an entirely different show! Something like Star and Marco: The Everlasting Bond! The premise would be Star and Marco trying to coax every Mewman, Human, Monster, or other into living together. Along the way, we could see Mariposa and Meteora grow up, maybe to like age 5 or something. They would go on more adventures, and Star and Marco could be going to college or something. Mina could show up as just a minor nuisance, and Ludo could meet back up with Star and Marco and see how they're doing. There would be an overarching conflict. Magic seems to be reappearing across the newly merged Mewni and Earth (with any other dimensions it might have been merge with, but I think it's just the two), for better or worse. It's a whole new weird world to explore, and Star and Marco's journey has only begun. So, what do you think?

Disney is really good with ruining series. This series was supposed to have about 2 more seasons, but Disney said “Nope you only get 1 season left.” and everything is ruined. There is a mass genocide of magic. Somehow Ponyhead can still float even though there is no “magic.” Like what the heck Disney. Toffee’s entire plan and purpose was to destroy all magic in the series, but his existence was pointless because they destroyed the magic for him SMH. This ending was more like a fanfiction. The script writing was terrible and I would probably see better writing in someone doing a fanfic on making a better ending and not killing magic off. It’s all Moon’s fault, she puts an already well known homicidal maniac that will keep killing in “power” and that’s why they had to destroy the magic so she would lose her power. So quite frankly I blame Moon on this whole whole magic being destroyed thing which was caused by crappy script writing. Still how is Ponyhead floating?
The appearance of the gate, its explosion, the strange color of the sky, and the image of a star in her grandmother's room indicate one thing, that magic has not been destroyed nor will it be destroyed, if you notice the title of the episode cracking and not destruction or the end of magic, as for what star did, we will discover it in Season 5
Oh the fucking feels! Ain't gonna lie, I teared up when u were singing the theme, realizing this would be the last time. And oh the ending...quite the send off if anything. Don't worry, Morgan, we're all crying. All that said, can't wait for Tuesdays.

I'm still not sure whether or not all the dimensions combined together or just Earth and Mewni since almost all of what we saw at the end was only from Earth and Mewni, but there were also Dragon Cycles which, from my recollection, have never been on Mewni.
I thought I'd be ok because I watched the finale for the first time months ago. but im not. I'm still crying. god why do i have to be so emotionally invested in cartoons. The last ep was such an emotional rollercoaster ride (especially bc I had rewatched the entire show- seasons 1-3- and then s4 for the first time in the span of two days) and the ending of just "hi" KILLED me. Though its so touching I almost dont want a movie just because of how beautiful it was.
Sometimes I come back to this show it got me through so much things, It made me smile so much, It made me laugh so much, And now its over I hope it gets a movie or something
I kinda don't get why some people were happy with this finale, they literally rushed Starco and merged 2 dimensions together so they could be together. Any better explanation I recommend to watch Blue Order's video where he explained EVERYTHING well especially with the finale and final episodes

She’s the author and illustrator of a really well made Season 5 fanfic that’s 37 chapters long with original illustrations that’re too well made they look like they’re future screenshots of the show! It’s too well done, I was honestly surprised Daron didn’t do it herself! It’s called SVTFOE Season 5: “When Two Worlds Collide”. It takes place immediately after where the show’s finale left off. It’s absolutely insane how in-character the dialogue is, and how true to the show it is! It got so popular that not only does Daron Nefcy know about it, but Adam MacArthur himself (Voice of Marco Diaz) told the fans to check it out! Thousands of fans even signed a petition to make it the official Season 5 for Disney! Sarah also has tons of original “Starco” art on her IG (kprs4ever). The link to her Season 5 is in her bio. She’s also working on a sequel for it, and even a full comic of her Season 5! Some of her posts on IG also show 2 posts of Adam MacArthur as Marco telling the fans to check it out!

That ending was by far insurmountably worse than anything I've ever seen from a show's finale. "Because magic" is possibly the laziest excuse to explain things from a world-building perspective, especially when one has full creative control of how a fictional concept like magic works. Past seasons and the first half of this season had a significantly noticeable amount of care put into each episode's writing. Then they made a *_filler episode_* whose soul purpose was to say "hey, Marco split up with Kelly" showed up and that was when the series completely derailed. And the fact that the ending was basically a magical Thanos-snap showed how little the corporate shills running this shitshow cared about _Star vs._ If it doesn't make it enough money, Disney throws it away. That's the dark truth behind Disney's animated lineup. All I can do is quote Lindsay Ellis and say, "Thanks, Disney, I hate it."
They didn't even kiss. Where's the fucking payoff? They at least deserved one last kiss before the credits scrolled. I desperately need to see someone with a voice in the animation community who can speak this
Keep in mind that the Blood Moon Ball wasn’t when they first fell in love. Marco only starts to feel romance towards star starting in the “Curse of the Blood Moon” episode in Season 4, but he then says he was in love with her from the start (Which I call bull on). Star’s thoughts on Marco in her journal (After the Season 1 finale) says that she only likes him as a friend (Not a boyfriend), but admits that he’s cute, like puppies or tiny peppers. These thoughts were written before the Blood Moon Ball, but she says he’s just a friend after being confronted by Mr. Candle a few episodes later. But the box says she’s in love with Marco after the Mr. Candle episode and during “Sleepover”. So, we have a few options as to when exactly Star started to be in love with Marco: 1. During the Blood Moon dance (She lied to Mr. Candle about her feelings for Marco, she was a bit emotional when saving Marco from Toffee, and she dipped down to prevent Marco from reading her true feelings for her (Which say he’s only a friend, but were written before the Blood Moon). 2. During the “Mr. Candle” episode when the demon says “Point Marco” while Marco and Star were hugging in front of Tom after Marco helped calm down Star and told her she can run Mewni however she wants to. 3. A little bit after the “Mr. Candle” episode (Where she said he’s only a friend), but before the “Sleepover” episode, where it confirms that she’s in love with him. As for Marco, he says he was in love with her since Day 1 (Which I think is bull), but I think he started to be in love with her during this episode in Season 4 (Since he wasn’t ecstatic to hear that Star was in love with him during the Season 2 finale), and since it wasn’t until Ted confronted Marco about his feelings for Star and after seeing her and Tom kiss at the beach. That’s why he was heart-broken and tried to move on to Kelly (To no avail), and why he dumped being her break-up buddy a little bit after the Cornball game. I find it ironic how Star crashes into Marco’s life from Mewni to Earth, became an exchange student on Earth, and was in love with Marco but was heart-broken since he and Jackie were together. Now Marco crashes into Star’s life from Earth to Mewni, became an exchange student to Mewni, and was in love with Star but was heart-broken since she and Tom were together. And it wasn’t until both Star and Marco were both single and ended their relationships that they FINALLY got together! Ironic, ain’t it! This was explained in the song “Just Friends”: “It was no secret the way that we feel” (No secret to everyone that saw them together), “Our love is so pure, our love is so real” (It was real in Season 4, but only felt real before then), “You showed me your world, and it felt like a sign” (Marco showing Star Earth, and Star seeing that as a sign of possible romance), “But you acted too slow and you ran out of time” (Star acted too slow to tell Marco her true feelings, and he eventually got together with Jackie, crushing Star’s heart in the process). “I didn’t mean to hurt you. You didn’t have a clue.” (Marco didn’t mean to hurt Star’s feelings, and he didn’t know about them.). “So you went out and got busy, and found somebody new” (Marco found Jackie, and was getting busy by being in a relationship with her). “And now we’ll be just friends” (Star and Marco will only be just friends, until the series finale when they finally confess their love for each other.). Another possibility for Star’s and Marco’s love for each other is that if they fell in love with each other in Season 1, they were so nervous to tell each other how they feel, because they thought it would ruin their friendship (Star: “I thought you wouldn’t wanna be friends anymore”). So they stayed silent about their feelings and tried to move on (Marco being bf/gf with Jackie, and Star being in love with Oscar). But it wasn’t until Marco and Jackie were together that Star finally confessed her love for Marco. Marco wanted to tell Star he loved her too, but couldn’t ‘cause he was with Jackie, and Jackie was watching. So Star took that moment of silence (Marco wanting to admit his feelings for Star but can’t) as him not feeling the same way, hence her tears and running off back to Mewni for good. Marco tried to go after Star, but was too late. After crying over Star for a few days, he eventually goes back to Mewni to help Star and give her her favorite cereal (While also helping kill Toffee after discovering his return). They hug each other for a long while, ‘cause they still love each other, but Marco was still technically with Jackie, so he went back to Earth (But was reluctant to do so, for a little bit). Then Jackie realized he was happier with Star, so she dumped him. Then Marco leaves Earth and goes to Mewni to hopefully start a relationship with Star, but it was too late, since she got back together with Tom after he got his anger under control for her. So at that point, Marco had 2 options: Go back to Earth and patch things up with Jackie to continue being bf/gf with, or stay on Mewni as Star’s best friend, do everything he can to make her happy, and step in for Star if things go sideways with her and Tom. And low and behold, that’s exactly what happened later on in Season 4. Bottom line, I wanted to see Star and Marco together in Season 1 and throughout the rest of the show, instead of these complications that prevent them from being together.
This show had the means to do an epic Kingdom Hearts-esque Disney crossover event and...NEVER took advantage of it. I'm talking, of course, about the magic dimension-hopping scissors. It probably would've given Mickey Mouse a 90th birthday bash for the ages, going deep into the rich history of Disney animation with its endless library of unforgettables. But, I guess all that epicness never crossed the minds of Daron Nefcy or her team of writers. Oh what could have been...

That music at the end though. It's always what gets me in these shows. I feel like we've had a long run of good cartoon composers in recent years.
After adventure time ended, I almost sunk into the abyss, but now I have fallen into something even worse.

I kinda don't get why some people were happy with this finale, they literally rushed Starco and merged 2 dimensions together so they could be together. Any better explanation I recommend to watch Blue Order's video where he explained EVERYTHING well especially with the finale and final episodes

i did cry at the end of the episod, firts of sadness cause i thought that, she'll lose marco, but then i cryed of joyness because the Starco exist for sure

She’s the author and illustrator of a really well made Season 5 fanfic that’s 37 chapters long with original illustrations that’re too well made they look like they’re future screenshots of the show! It’s too well done, I was honestly surprised Daron didn’t do it herself!
It’s called SVTFOE Season 5: “When Two Worlds Collide”. It takes place immediately after where the show’s finale left off. It’s absolutely insane how in-character the dialogue is, and how true to the show it is!
It got so popular that not only does Daron Nefcy know about it, but Adam MacArthur himself (Voice of Marco Diaz) told the fans to check it out! Thousands of fans even signed a petition to make it the official Season 5 for Disney!
Sarah also has tons of original “Starco” art on her IG (kprs4ever). The link to her Season 5 is in her bio. She’s also working on a sequel for it, and even a full comic of her Season 5!

You could cleave something together or cleave something apart. Magic cleaved them apart, but they cleaved the worlds together. Also Meteora and Mariposa were promised to grow up together, and now they will be able to :)))

That ending was by far insurmountably worse than anything I've ever seen from a show's finale. "Because magic" is possibly the laziest excuse to explain things from a world-building perspective, especially when one has full creative control of how a fictional concept like magic works. Past seasons and the first half of this season had a significantly noticeable amount of care put into each episode's writing. Then they made a *_filler episode_* whose soul purpose was to say "hey, Marco split up with Kelly" showed up and that was when the series completely derailed. And the fact that the ending was basically a magical Thanos-snap showed how little the corporate shills running this shitshow cared about _Star vs._ If it doesn't make it enough money, Disney throws it away. That's the dark truth behind Disney's animated lineup.
All I can do is quote Lindsay Ellis and say, "Thanks, Disney, I hate it."

Keep in mind that the Blood Moon Ball wasn’t when they first fell in love. Marco only starts to feel romance towards star starting in the “Curse of the Blood Moon” episode in Season 4, but he then says he was in love with her from the start (Which I call bull on).
Star’s thoughts on Marco in her journal (After the Season 1 finale) says that she only likes him as a friend (Not a boyfriend), but admits that he’s cute, like puppies or tiny peppers. These thoughts were written before the Blood Moon Ball, but she says he’s just a friend after being confronted by Mr. Candle a few episodes later. But the box says she’s in love with Marco after the Mr. Candle episode and during “Sleepover”.
So, we have a few options as to when exactly Star started to be in love with Marco:
1. During the Blood Moon dance (She lied to Mr. Candle about her feelings for Marco, she was a bit emotional when saving Marco from Toffee, and she dipped down to prevent Marco from reading her true feelings for her (Which say he’s only a friend, but were written before the Blood Moon).
2. During the “Mr. Candle” episode when the demon says “Point Marco” while Marco and Star were hugging in front of Tom after Marco helped calm down Star and told her she can run Mewni however she wants to.
3. A little bit after the “Mr. Candle” episode (Where she said he’s only a friend), but before the “Sleepover” episode, where it confirms that she’s in love with him.
As for Marco, he says he was in love with her since Day 1 (Which I think is bull), but I think he started to be in love with her during this episode in Season 4 (Since he wasn’t ecstatic to hear that Star was in love with him during the Season 2 finale), and since it wasn’t until Ted confronted Marco about his feelings for Star and after seeing her and Tom kiss at the beach. That’s why he was heart-broken and tried to move on to Kelly (To no avail), and why he dumped being her break-up buddy a little bit after the Cornball game.
I find it ironic how Star crashes into Marco’s life from Mewni to Earth, became an exchange student on Earth, and was in love with Marco but was heart-broken since he and Jackie were together. Now Marco crashes into Star’s life from Earth to Mewni, became an exchange student to Mewni, and was in love with Star but was heart-broken since she and Tom were together. And it wasn’t until both Star and Marco were both single and ended their relationships that they FINALLY got together!
Ironic, ain’t it!
This was explained in the song “Just Friends”: “It was no secret the way that we feel” (No secret to everyone that saw them together), “Our love is so pure, our love is so real” (It was real in Season 4, but only felt real before then), “You showed me your world, and it felt like a sign” (Marco showing Star Earth, and Star seeing that as a sign of possible romance), “But you acted too slow and you ran out of time” (Star acted too slow to tell Marco her true feelings, and he eventually got together with Jackie, crushing Star’s heart in the process).
“I didn’t mean to hurt you. You didn’t have a clue.” (Marco didn’t mean to hurt Star’s feelings, and he didn’t know about them.). “So you went out and got busy, and found somebody new” (Marco found Jackie, and was getting busy by being in a relationship with her).
“And now we’ll be just friends” (Star and Marco will only be just friends, until the series finale when they finally confess their love for each other.).
Another possibility for Star’s and Marco’s love for each other is that if they fell in love with each other in Season 1, they were so nervous to tell each other how they feel, because they thought it would ruin their friendship (Star: “I thought you wouldn’t wanna be friends anymore”). So they stayed silent about their feelings and tried to move on (Marco being bf/gf with Jackie, and Star being in love with Oscar). But it wasn’t until Marco and Jackie were together that Star finally confessed her love for Marco. Marco wanted to tell Star he loved her too, but couldn’t ‘cause he was with Jackie, and Jackie was watching. So Star took that moment of silence (Marco wanting to admit his feelings for Star but can’t) as him not feeling the same way, hence her tears and running off back to Mewni for good. Marco tried to go after Star, but was too late. After crying over Star for a few days, he eventually goes back to Mewni to help Star and give her her favorite cereal (While also helping kill Toffee after discovering his return). They hug each other for a long while, ‘cause they still love each other, but Marco was still technically with Jackie, so he went back to Earth (But was reluctant to do so, for a little bit). Then Jackie realized he was happier with Star, so she dumped him. Then Marco leaves Earth and goes to Mewni to hopefully start a relationship with Star, but it was too late, since she got back together with Tom after he got his anger under control for her.
So at that point, Marco had 2 options: Go back to Earth and patch things up with Jackie to continue being bf/gf with, or stay on Mewni as Star’s best friend, do everything he can to make her happy, and step in for Star if things go sideways with her and Tom.
And low and behold, that’s exactly what happened later on in Season 4.
Bottom line, I wanted to see Star and Marco together in Season 1 and throughout the rest of the show, instead of these complications that prevent them from being together.
This show had the means to do an epic Kingdom Hearts-esque Disney crossover event and...NEVER took advantage of it. I'm talking, of course, about the magic dimension-hopping scissors. It probably would've given Mickey Mouse a 90th birthday bash for the ages, going deep into the rich history of Disney animation with its endless library of unforgettables. But, I guess all that epicness never crossed the minds of Daron Nefcy or her team of writers. Oh what could have been...
