The funniest part of the Carconi character is that when he is talking about mamma putting his ear to the stove and he breaks the picture.... It's another Roger persona. Meaning that their abusive mother is also Roger.

Calypso Banana Puffysleeves is a C for me SOLELY for the line "No problem, Mista Sleeves". That line just feels like BUTTER to me, and it makes my day whenever I hear it.
Dr. Penguin’s story arch makes him the most evil persona imo.
Roger uses the sense of authority that he has over the smiths to systematically manipulate any character who comes to him for advice into situations and arguments that he feels are the most advantageous for himself alone.
Lying, gaslighting, using his authority against them, and pitting everyone against each other for his own amusement and/or personal gain. He gains all of their trusts, lulling everyone into a false sense of security, and then uses said trust to break down their relationship between one another just so that they will see him as the only one worth trusting.
It gets so bad that it’s to the point where nobody ever questions him anymore. Despite the fact that everyone knows he’s Roger, and therefore a terrible person, he’s somehow convinced everyone that Dr. Penguin is different. That Dr.Penguin is a safe person. When he’s not. Because he’s still Roger. And by the end everyone breaks down because nobody in the family knows what to do anymore without his “advice”.
It’s both a story arch about the damage malicious therapists can do to their clients/victims and a character arch about how regardless of which persona he takes on Roger will always be Roger. To him there is no separation between the various ways he presents himself. Regardless of how others see him. He knew what he was doing was morally and ethically wrong but he did it anyways just because he wanted to. He was just playing the long game again because he likes doing it, mental and physical well-being of others/his adoptive family be dammed.
TL;DR: The thing that makes Roger a well written and interesting character to watch is the same thing that makes him a terrible person and a legitimate danger to everyone around him: Dr. Penguin’s story is probably the best example of this (along side Ricky Spanish).
Btw Roger is my favorite character in AD because he’s written in this way that is so different from all the other characters. He’s playing 5D chest while everyone else in in the world is playing Candy-land.

valik is one of my favourites and probably the most underrated of all of them. he gets so little screentime but makes the most out of every second! also ferrari guy is based on al pacino's oscar winning performance in the movie Scent of a woman. if you watched that movie you would've rated him higher. it's such a perfect and hilarious parody^^
other than that I'm most surprised nobody liked the mardi gras character. I thought that was one of the funniest b-plots ever.
I think TH-cam recommended this to me because I’ve been watching videos on the Persona GAME series.
There was one story I can think of where the plot wasn’t Legman’s fault. Steve and his friends had a secret pond or something that they liked to hang out at but it was trashed which pissed off Steve. So Steven gets Roger to do the bit after telling him about the body they found at the bottom of the lake but Roger frequently warns Steve about getting too personal to a case, actually concerned for Steve.

The roger persona of Charles Bronson is a vigilante character during 1970's crime ridden NYC, Ala Death Wish.
Roger Smith is One of if Not the Best Character in American Dad that Without Him who Knows What the Series would be,the Best Trait of the Personas He Pulls,Some Great,Some Meh,Some Bad,Some Crazy,Some Over the Top,Some Dangerous,Some Talented,Some Bizarre,and Some Iconic,on the End of the Day Roger’s Personas will Always bring Fun and Outer Chaos.
My only strong disagreement is Ruby Zeldastein, who should've been at least A but probably S. She's a super memorable character who stands on her own two feet without needing the plot to prop her up.
I love how Abbey is a play on the girl from the movie almost famous if y’all have seen that movie that episode hits a bit harder.

Quick question isn't it a time paradox with Dr. Gerald ya ya and ecstasy? Because in the beginning of the episode Roger said he made the drug and gave the paper to stan who then proceeded to bring it back in time then show it to Roger before he can write it down technically meaning the paper came out of nowhere? (Just a thought maybe wrong)
