I may be overthinking on this (and I'm sorry if I am) but why does Seth have such a dark view on Christmas through the shows he makes?
There was Family Guy's Road to the North Pole and then, we have the Santa episodes from American Dad
Have you done a video on the saga of the sacred golden turd that fills the side story of the Antichrist and literally rewrote the show's entire timeline?
Or how the show is now existing in an American Dad multiverse wherin each episode takes place in a timeline in a self-existing multiverse with some episodes being in connected timelines?
If not, either one would make for incredible video ideas in the future.

I don’t really remember the rapture arc but from what you showed it looked like the AntiChrist was killed so given the kids pjs are similar & if remember correctly sounds like couldn’t NEMO or OMEN just be him reincarnated😊

Exactly! So the excommunication episode happens after and before the rapture. After the real rapture but before Stan’s Rapture.
A lot of people don't think the episodes that came out after the rapture episode are actually set after it
For one, Klaus is dead in Stans personal heaven and a lot of people just don't think he would put himself through all the bad stuff he goes through if he was in heaven
I'm not sure what I think but I'm leaning towards the later episodes not being post rapture
@Zey Face Besides the Claus thing I think the hustle and bustle of life is-depsite how much it truly aggravates him- what makes him whole and feel happy since it's always with his family
I'm waiting for them to reference this and /or the fact that they're all still in Night Hawks during the finale.

I like that Jack becomes Krampus because it allows us to theorize that the Krampus from the beginning of the episode befell a similar fate. He's so fatherly to Steve because he very well might have had a child before the transformation, and that adds to the humanity he exhibits

Easily my favorite "tradition" based episodes of any show ever. The first one where Jeff betrays Santa to save them all, and started to show Stan how much of a Smith he was ready to be.... Man right in the feels.

I absolutely love their Holiday episodes. The insanity of their stories and comedy is jacked up and it's just so much fun.
Yes! I always loved them. Love the Christmas battle with Santa the Smiths did. Plus the Krampus one too. Hell even the rapture one, not as much as the first two but still.

I feel like American Dad isnt talked about enough on TH-cam compared to its more popular older brother show, Family Guy. But while FG has declined over the years, AD continues to rose and it's a shame it isn't talked about more. The writing room must be so much fun. Thanks for shedding light on the topic & of course showing how crazy fun the Christmas episodes are

If you were from the start you might actually realize that's a good thing. Family guy went down hill because of the FCC and creators exhaustion from it, and family guys lower coverage gets them hit less

The Grounch is a bit of a letdown but I will say it's still pretty good, the issue with it is the other Christmas episodes are so good that a mediocre at worst episode just doesn't compare.
I love how I can kinda remember maybe one or two family Christmas episodes, but every American dad Christmas special is etched in my brain

This year’s Christmas gave us a beautiful, tear-jerking experience from Bob’s Burgers and Roger as a BDSM Grinch in American Dad. What a time to be alive 😂
American Dad is literally the only show I know that has gotten better the longer it has gone on
It makes so much sense that the most American show out there would be THIS in love with Christmas. Maybe it's because I'm Aussie and only know heatwaves on December 25th, but this holiday has always felt American to me. There's no pine trees, snowflakes, ugly sweaters or sledding here, so I associate a stereotypical white Christmas with the USA. This show going all out, from the brutal death scenes, character arcs, songs, animation- everything just fits it so well
I believe the rapture episode was a premonition of what was to come (like in the movie Final Destination, you can see the outcome that is to happen but you can change who's there and manipulate the situation since it was a vision), and the Nemo kid presence is basically showing that judgement day is still coming.

American Dad is painfully under talked about in the TH-cam content landscape, it's such a nice feeling to find someone who genuinely cares about the show like I do. I think that Season's Beatings is like an anti-Christ rebirth - sort of how after the devil child character was killed in AHS, another anti-christ was eventually born because it is inevitable

The American dad Christmas episodes are always hilarious and dark
The Krampus episode is one of my absolute favourite episodes. I've watched through all if American Dad like.... more times than I care to admit and my love for that episode has never diminished.
One thing that i really find intresting is that, despite her often cynical personality, Hayley really loves Christmas and is usually shown to be happy as can be during these episodes.
I’m pretty sure the antichrist inconsistency can be explained with time loop. The show is Stan’s heaven.
I think the show is played outta order. That's why the anti Christ child had the same voice and flipped his pajamas to match the clothes that the anti Christ was wearing in the rapture.
I mean doesn't every episode of AD take place in Stan's personal Heaven after Rapture's Delight? Maybe his own personal Heaven involves the rapture for some strange reason
I adore these specials. Creativity abound and surprisingly good action.
Technically I think everything after the rapture episode is Stan living out his day to day in heaven

American Dad is always my go-to if I want to watch something with dinner. I want to be Roger when I grow up!
For whom the sleigh bells toll has my favorite line from the whole series. It's when Roger learns to make the moonshine and Bob Todd says, "You can drive my Camero, as soon as I fix the got dang drive shaft."
Don't know why but that line always cracks me up.
The music in Rapture's Delight at the end was phenomenal. If you take out Stan saying Francine deserves Fancy Feast, it was pretty damn serious, and the music made me feel pretty sad at the end.

I enjoy the early Christmas episodes of American Dad, especially when Paget Brewster, voice of Birdgirl, voiced the Ghost of Christmas Past and Michelle.
Oh, and just like Die Hard and Batman Returns, I consider the "Gift Me Liberty" episode to be a Christmas one.

I'm pretty sure the Ghost of Christmas Past was voiced by Lisa Kudrow but yeah they were similar Characters.
It was Lisa Kudrow but Paget Brewster is awesome regardless. Her role in season 6 of Community does not get the love it deserves. I hope they bring her back for the movie

I love American Dad Christmas specials, they’re creative, dark, and funny, my fav was when Lewis had Stan’s family
Don’t know if anyone said this but in regards to the Anti-Christ and Rapture it could just be like a Ragnarok type thing where even if we win it’ll happen again so the next time Father Donovan doesn’t appear since he died later on (just a theory I have)
My favorite was always the first Christmas special, where Stan accidentally prevents the Reagan assassination.
I would argue that the time-loop Christmas episode was more a mix of Edge of Tomorrow and Final Destination what with the family always dying in a different way each time even when he succeeds

The Rapture episode is one of the absolute best of American Dad. I loved it when the show still had this style of comedy. It's what stopped it from being just a family guy "clone" or spin off.
Minstrel Krampus is probably my personal favorite, but Yule Tide Repeat is a close second.
its all cannon, american dad exists in a universe with several versions of earth and things play out slightly different between them, this was confirmed in echoes from this last season

Honestly American Dad has some amazing episodes when they do weird or wacky concepts and parodies Rabbit Ears was a good example of that.

American Dad is a big ball of Timey Whimey. The timeline is way off course and since Stan died, went to heaven... forced his way in to talk to God and ended up in his own personal heaven, the show changed quite a lot. It does make you wonder with all the antics, schemes and wild situations that happened. The reserve time, the number of times they died, the end of the world happening a few times, then everything is fine. The world carries on after the Y2K. The events after. It does make you wonder. Since Stan is in the CIA, someone could be cloning them, sticking them in simulations, or it could be happening in thier head or something. You never know.

Rapture arc stan's heaven is him a year before the rapture since it shows him coming down hill but instead of yelling and destroying the presents he said it looks perfect and hugs his family. so i think all the episodes after this takes place in stan's heaven.

Yule Tide Repeat is my absolute favorite Christmas episode of American Dad (so far). My boyfriend and I were so impressed at just how funny, clever, and fun it was. The fact they went as far as to reference the opening of Ghost Ship of all things for a *Christmas* episode, is why I love this show so much. They might have some dud episodes but even this far into it's run, they're still making such amazing episodes.
All those Christmas specials are unwaveringly Satanic lol

You forgot that technically the show after the rapture takes place in Stan’s heaven. So everything that happens after could be before the Rapture, even though the rapture already happened.
At the end of the rapture episode stan is put into his own personal heaven which was basically him continuing his life from before the rapture happened and life continued on without the rapture happening in stans heaven. thus, making every episode after the rapture technically take place in heaven (stans heaven mind you). The antichrist would have entered stans heaven for the sake of taking revenge on stan and causing another rapture in stans heaven eventually as a big middle finger to stan. This is kind of why I don't really care for the rapture episode it does the whole "in the end it was all a dream" style of thing and I get that it's a cartoon that only kind of does arks but still drawing attention to the fact that in the end nothing changes just doesn't sit well for me.
