Can You Beat Fallout 4 While Addicted To All Chems? (in text form)
Because every SPECIAL stat would be affected when experiencing withdrawal from a dozen different substances at once, I named myself Doug the Drug Slug, set every SPECIAL Stat to 4, and raced to the Vault. Now that the end of the world is upon us, I can explain a little about this run. The thing about it is, there’s no real way to do it without console commands. The point is to be addicted to everything for as long as possible. You could scavenge the world for chems and alcohol, but how are you gonna get them? If you find a location you’ll get experience, but Intelligence determines the number of experience points you get for everything and Intelligence would be impacted by the addiction, you’d be getting too many experience points. And that applies to the rest as well, Endurance for taking damage, Agility for sprinting, I could go on and on.
For that reason, and because adding the addiction via a console command doesn’t work properly, I know, I tried, I went with the foolproof option that involves cheating. After escaping Vault 111 without attacking any of the Radroaches, I’ll get to why in a minute, I used a console command to give me 100 of every chem that gives a different addiction. Including all the various types of alcohol, there are at least 25 different chems in Fallout 4, but there are only 12 kinds of addictions you can get. Jet, Ultra Jet, and Jet Fuel all give you the same Jet addiction, there’s no reason to use them all.
So, I went through every chem, used enough to become addicted to them all, the amount varied from chem to chem, I drank all the vodka to be as true to life as possible, then, because I’m a ing maniac, I used the rest of all the other chems as well. No real reason to, it was a waste of time, but I still clicked the mouse at least 1000 times just to say I used them all. Then, to remove all benefits of the chems, such as increased Strength from Buffout, I used another command to speed up the game until all the good parts of the chems had drained from orifices.
After becoming addicted to everything in the game, these are the negative side effects I’m dealing with. SPECIAL Stats are at 1 or 2 which really sucks, but the big ing problem is the -20 Damage Resistance. Now, here’s where everything’s gonna get crazy. I didn’t think this idea was interesting enough on it’s own, which is why I added another challenge on top of the addiction thing. I thought for a while about what to do. Maybe only use a Gamma Gun, Intelligence being so low would lock you out of the perks that increase radiation damage. Or maybe use the Broadsider, a portable cannon would be fun. - เกม

The most unrealistic part is that after using at least 100 of every chem, your character can still see and stand upright instead of experiencing immediate mass organ failure and dying instantly.
Synths only simulate the feeling of being addicted so it adds up.
@@Elizabean1984 I thought synths had organs and where semi organic? Drugs are poison just at a low dose, if you take 100 oxy’s your lungs are probably gonna stop doing their job. If you do 100 doses of meth or coke then your heart is probably gonna have issues. It’s not an addiction thing. at some point everything becomes poisonous or hazardous, even water.

@mustachecat6657 Yeah, on his subreddit, you can a see a mortuary for Paul, and he was very vocal that he was a huge alcoholic to the point that when he went to the doctor for the first time, he had a 50% chance of surviving, thankfully he did, but not this time.

ok, so, idea here: Quest weapons only, you're only allowed to use the weapons you find while doing a quest, as soon as you complete it, you have to drop your weapons and move onto the next quest, and the weapons you find only count at a quest location, so you cant pick up weapons in the wasteland and move on to the quest already armed
Well technically that just means a no equip load run works too
@@randogamer2643 No, you got it wrong. Let's say you start a quest and find a few weapons in the quest area. You are only allowed to use those weapons and discard them when the quest is over. Not actual quest weapons.
I can only think of two quest essential weapons, the shiskabab, and a creation club gun

you are naked going into a dungeon - you use the weapons/armor that is provided to you in that area. once completed - drop it all

The very beginning of a video is actually something I can't relate to, as I'm apparently part of this elusive club where I've never used chems in a Fallout game. I horde them, but I just become the wasteland drug dealer and sell them all.
I only hoard the really good ones, but never bother picking up the rest of them.

Smart drug dealers don't use their own products. The end result of doing your own supply is what happens in Scarface.
I once accidentally used Buffout in Fallout 3 and got upset. The only drugs I've used in NV was i think med-x because the stupid sneaky suit shoves so many into me I get an addiction every other combat encounter.
@@KoolKyurem25 I remember using buffout in Fallout 3 and regretting it dearly. The thing is I assumed the health boost from it was permanent, but it's actually temporary, so when the drugs wore off I would immediately die since I didn't have anything else to heal me and I either must've been conserving heavily on stimpaks or burned through those as well. I can't remember what caused me to be so health-deprived, but this was around my first few times playing so it could've been anything.

I only "buy" those Creation Club items when they're free in order to make sure Bethesda knows I'll never pay for mods. I haven't gotten much, mind you, but the point still stands.
@brmbly Modders can open up patreons and stuff for that. Creation Club is essentially just a way for the companies themselves to make money off of things that were free already for years.

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Bethesda nerfed the negative effects of chems so much that it makes taking them more like supliments than hard drugs. There are no side effects for prolonged use. Just take more and all the negative effects are gone. Pretty lame if you ask me.

I’ve done this before. Managed to get both a junkie sawed off & hunting rifle before level 20. At that point every chem is like a superhero ability and combining them for certain situations is very fun
This is actually what I did in my first play through, I did not know that addiction existed because I had never played a previous fallout game and it ended up making my life much harder. I did not notice though, because I thought the difficulty was too high. I was on normal.

First one is more time and material efficient, just macro e+r and hold the button. from 1 to 17 lvl in like 20-30 minutes

I have played enough Fallout 4 since it came out. I fear if I do another play through, I will need chems to put up with it. The saddest part is, I still want to play again.

Man, one if the 1st things i do in new vegas is the drug runner quests for those two great khan drug runners. It unlocks better chems which help a lot early game. Late game you don’t need them though
The only drugs I use in most playthroughs are grape mentats. Easy to make and useful for buying expensive things.
