I usually just order off of amazon. Sometimes the Nespresso site might have some deals if you buy in bulk. You dont really need special cups, just a regular ceramic mug would work just fine. Just make sure the size of the mug can hold the amount of coffee you make. The glass ones I use are by the brand Bodum that I got from Macys. If you go glass, just make sure they can handle the high temperature of the coffee or it could shatter.
Very good review, but bad at tossing the pod onto the brewing pedestal. I bought this exact machine just now based on your review. I was looking for a new Nespresso U D50 but they are discontinued and no one has them. Good job.
Yes you can! I personally have not tried this myself, but you can find some sellers that sell the stainless steel capsules where they have the bar codes on them. The bar codes determine how much water gets used by the machine so make sure to buy the right sizes if you go this route! I might need to get one and do a review on it! Haha.

Fully opened it measures about 16.5" tall so I would say at least 17" and you should be good. Hope this helps!

I would say its plenty hot. I dont have a food thermometer to see what temp it gets to, but its hot for sure.
