I’m so glad I bought this machine today. I had to chuck my next, nothing but problems. I did like the design better but it’s the coffees that will brew without capsule recognition issues and I need my coffee in the morning.
I'm a new vertuo plus person. I never drank coffee. Bought it for when my kids when they visit. BUT, i'm now hooked. Love my Vanilla latte. Actually I bought a bunch of flavors. Thanks or all your helpful advice. Took the Pod out and I'll clean it today. Granted I only make one cup a day.
Just receive my machine for Christmas, I was so nervous to open it but now after watching your videos . I open the box and the coffee samples are ready to use and I used 2/12 . I definitely enjoy the taste

Thanks for explaining why disposing of the pods right away is important! I find Vertuo makes bitter coffee, and I wonder if that is the reason. I ran clean cycles and hopefully this will improve the taste of the coffee.

My tip is that I run an espresso or lungo shot with no pod when I want hot water. As long as the machine is clean, this is an easy way to get the perfect ratio and temp of hot water for an americano. I have a creatista plus.

Running my cleaning cycle now! I’m so glad you mentioned it! I didn’t realize it should be cleaned this often and I’m definitely going to stick with it. I gotta get better at remembering to take those pods out!

I bought mine from Nespresso, and don't remember registering it, though I use the app all the time, so hopefully they know who I am! 🤷🏼♀️ Your explanations are really simple & you have a great presentation style. This is so helpful 😱 now that I have my Vertuo I barely use the original too! It was my first love but the bigger pods are so much easier.
I haven’t descaled my Vertuo as yet so I would be very interested in that video!!!!
I figured out how to stop the coffee by accident because my cup was too small and about to overflow everywhere 🤣

I have the original line, but I plan to purchase a vertuo machine soon. And even though I don’t have a vertuo machine, I did learn that you can stop the coffee and start it again by pressing the button. How neat is that? Now I’m wondering if you can do this with the original machine (citiz). Please make a video showing tips and tricks for the original line. Really good videos!! Is there a video on how to program so there’s more water per cup (diluted). My husband is looking for a weaker cup of joe! If so can you link? I couldn’t find….thanks!
If you program it, then that means you will also be drinking diluted coffee because it will do it for all the same size pods you program it to. I would instead long press the button shortly after it’s done to add more water to the brew. Hope that makes sense
I took your advice and I called the Nespresso customer service because my NEXT machine was acting up when I was trying to clean it. I ended up getting the VertuoPlus in White ! Thanks so much for giving me the courage to call. I am super excited to get creamy dense creama instead of it looking burnt! Thanks again!

I’d go with the plus. The automatic opening and closing of the plus makes it feel more luxurious
Is there an option to run an empty shot of water between shots to clean the needles in VL ? Eg OL we can press the espresso/lungo button for extra water or clean in between shots. I just got a Vertuo plus but I can’t find any info for this option.
You can Tun a clean cycle. With machine off press the top button three times until it lights up orange. The machine will run a clean cycle a few secs later. It will run for five minutes but you can also just stop it when ever you want by pressing top buttton once

Morning, I've purchased the ALTO large capsules for Vertuo plus machine.. The light on top turns Red and the machine won't brew the coffee 😢.. I've wasted a couple already.. any thoughts?. Do I have to reprogram the machine for the large size capsule

iam sure you will know my problem,,,,when i turn my vertuo plus on in morning i cannot forewarm it,,,i mean with the ordenary nespresso i start it without pod in it so i just run water throu it then its nice and warm when i put new pod in,,but how do i do this with new vertuo as i do this with vertuo and i add pod then it only gives alittle coffee so i have to press it again with same pod in to get my full glass please please help,,ernie in netherlands btw i love your videos so much thank you
Hi, I don’t think the plus allows you to Just run water without the pod. Also the machine will only brew the amount of coffee the pod is programmed for. If you like a lot of coffee maybe the big coffee mug size pod will be better for ypu
Is it possible to just get hot water from the Vertuo for hot chocolate or tea bags? And does Nespresso sell tea or hot chocolate capsules?
I don’t think it is made to do that, and no they don’t have those kind of capsules. Some machines have that hot water function but I don’t think Vertuo plus does 🤔

You can’t set it, it will brew the designated amounts depending on what pod you put in it. You can change the factory setting but then it will do that brew for all the same size pods you do it for. I personally don’t recommend that. If you want to do it though I would follow manual instructions because I’m not sure how
How do you just rinse with water between descaling?
Do you prefer the vertuo plus over the vertuo next? Was the next really loud like others have mentioned in various reviews?
Yes! I love my plus better than the next. It felt like a total upgrade even though it’s the older model. And yes the next was slightly louder
@@_Alexmojica thank you for your reply! I picked up a piano black vertuo plus deluxe by DeLonghi for $20 and i have to say that i fell in love with it! Its a plus that its so easy to open and close… its funny that the older model is better no matter who made it. Now i have to try the Mexico pod because the Columbia pod is better than the Starbucks pods!
Their website doesn’t have my machine to register and I am soooo confused. But now I’m at a time where they aren’t available to contact so I’m like 😒.
Does the drip tray height have anything to do with the amount of water?
The drip tray is depending on the height of your cup

Sometimes it’s the frothy crema that’s bitter. Try mixing it or removing it
@@_Alexmojica if I have to do all that work I will just stick to my regular coffee pot then I put in a blender and it’s the best cup of coffee- I tried re brewing a pod and I thought it taste good a lot less stong
Second video I’ve seen on your channel!!!!Im confused got mine today through a espresso pod in and it literally made almost 2 full cups of coffee.Doesnt the machine check the barcode for size ???Or do I have to manually every time stop the machine or set a size amount for the machine to remember each barcode by ...There isn’t one video I’ve seen that explains this on TH-cam every video is broad on this subject.I thought the barcodes would automatically tell the machine what size to fill the cups...definitely would appreciate any help with this !Great channel!!
Which pod did you use? It should be able to detect the kind of pod. You don’t have to stop it.

You might have a faulty machine 😭 register your machine in the nespresso website the serial number should be in the bottom of machine. Call customer service they should be able to help with that ☺️glad you enjoy the videos
I just got my machine yesterday and I am having this issue. I put in a voltesso pod. I thought those only made 1.35 oz and im getting like 12 oz. It just keeps going n going until there's a big cup of whats supposed to be espresso...so maybe its faulty?

What if you start the machine after stopping it for the top off but you don't stop it manually? Will it drain out the whole water tank? Or will it be reprogrammed to fill another 80ml of water (assuming you're using a double expresso pod in there)
Reprogramming is a whole different setting/sequence of button pressing so I know for a fact it won’t be reprogrammed. Just guessing here, since the machine knows what pod it has, it might just stop when it has to depending on the pod you insert. I doubt I’ll ever forget to stop it and I really don’t want to test it just for that so hopefully that helps in knowing that at least it won’t be reprogrammed
@@_Alexmojica I actually tested it out of curiosity lol, yes it recognizes the pod via the barcode scanning system, even though it's empty. So, if it's an 80ml pod, it will dispense 80ml of plain hot water and stops itself.
