I’ve been there two times and it just keeps getting better and better ! One of the most idyllic and luxurious shooting ground. The food and hospitality is incredible. Highly recommend
Johnny- you have the best job in the world !!! Enjoy all your videos !!! The club houses are the most elegant I've ever seen. Thanks from Missouri, USA
Thanks for my Sunday dose of the UK tour. Great video, great shooting ground, great guns and a great pair of friends makes for a great video. Cheers I love TGS vids, my favorite!!
It was going on one too many corporate days at Hollands that tipped me over the edge into getting a license. It has improved massively over the 10 years I've been going and I will admit to achieving a bit of a life goal in having a lesson (with a friend) with my own Holland (sadly not commissioned but a lovely old pre war Royal) - expensive but worth it. Really want a go on the underground rifle range having done the Deer Stalking course a couple of years ago though.
Even though the .470 Nitro Express is my favorite Nitro Express, the most interesting is the .500 because it has the same bullet diameter as the .50 BMG, so you can use explosive, armor piercing and incendiary bullets.
Ok so I’m an American. I’ve shot trap since I was a little kid. It’s the type of shooting I started with because we hunted pheasant and quail. I’ve always loved it maybe because I’m really good at it but I’ve never shot sporting clays. I’m not even sure there’s any place within driving distance that does it even. My point I want to make is that it looks amazingly challenging. I don’t think I would be able to hit anything but I would love a chance to try. It just looks like so much fun. Again great video.
It is an interesting story about the .375 H&H Magnum. As someone from Africa I was told that the .303 British has dropped more game in Africa thanks to the British Empire and British Army. Army officers stationed in Africa came with Cape Guns were the one barrel was normally chambered in .303 British and the other barrel was chambered in12 Gauge. Of course the .303 ammunition for the army officers' safari was supplied by the QM.
Rabbits were my favorite clays to pull. Used to pull a rabbit and then a high house bird on report. Many many missed the rabbit..it does not run the same each time..rabbits and teal were the most missed.
I lived near the West London Shooting Ground for many years in Greenford. I have seen the cartridge mountain and it was a lot smaller 45 years ago when I went as a 10/11 kid. I love the quality of these guns and take pride they are British. Can I ask does the lead shot over these grounds over many years cause any problems to the wildlife and land. I am not a shooter but as a young lad to fire a lovely old 410 and then a 12 bore was an experience. I watch your stuff and enjoy it, the variety when you do the Holts auction. £50 to £250,000. Very easy non annoying presenting style, well done.
there are machines that sieve and clean the soil so the lead can be recycled but it's only done when there's enough lead in the soil for it to be viable
What an awesome place. If you get a chance to go, do so it’s great. They didn’t make much about the custom fitting in the film, but even the metalwork of the guns are individually cast to suit you. You only get that with individually hand made guns. There are expensive guns and there are bespoke. Very different indeed.
Another Great show. I shot at West London Years ago with a friend while visiting London we really enjoyed it, Looks like the Holland & Holland is far superior. Is this run by Beretta now or are the two company's still separate? What is the news on the future of Holland & Holland? Will Beretta be making any guns with their name on them? Thanks for all you do. Cheers! Ron
A good chiropractor and a narrower stance is a work around back problems for me I didn’t have full rotation until May this year I can sympathise with Jonny as I couldn’t walk or shoot for near on 6 months without a packet of pain killers my instructor noticed the difference after I’d had intensive chiro !
@@tgsoutdoors Awsome thank you so much! Just found you channel and I've gotta say you are creating a monster the amount of your videos I've been watching the past few days are getting me back into bird hunting and clay shooting! Top notch 👌
Can someone answer why the shotgun shells are loaded by another individual rather than the actual shooter? It seems odd to me that the shooter doesn't load the cartridges/shells on his or her own.
@@tgsoutdoors Thanks, I'm based in the US, so I wasn't sure if it was perhaps some sort of regulation. This looked like a fantastically enjoyable experience! Well done on the editing as well.
When aristocrats shot feathered game, they usually had a pair of identical shotgubs so that the shooter felt he was shooting the same gun .When the shooting got fast and furious the shooter didnt want to get distracted by mundane things like reloading his guns,so he had a loader whose job was to load and hand over the gun as fast as possible to his lord while also taking the matched gun to load again
Many years ago while on a small family game shoot a guest offered to let me shoot his Holland & Holland Royal 12 bore, sad to say that I took a left and right at a crow and a squirrel. That man has not spoken to me since that day and friends tell me I ruined the pedigree of that well know make of shotgun he owned.
I'm always surprised at the number of videos I see, especially when the world's finest guns are being handled, how often actions are almost slammed shut! I was taught to gently close a gun and cushion the lever with my thumb. Was that wrong?
Approximately $350,000 for a pair of SxS shotguns. Just don't gain or lose any weight or get old after your fitting. Would be a shame if the gun didn't fit you any longer.
Nice location. That 375 double flanged is the most fabulous rifle. Leave the 500 at home the 375 is so well balanced and svelte yet it does the job just the same. Wish I could afford one, but I'll just have to make due with an 375 Ruger Alaskan. Still one can dream
Interestingly H&H shooting ground is a lot more affordable than you think. Caddied clays, lunch and a rifle range session would be about £400 for two people.
Absolutely brilliant video but the thing that is on my mind is ANTS EYEBROWS… has he had them done? They look rather “fresh” for a pair of Northerners eye brows
I'm still stuck on the part where the SxS was said to have the barrels the wrong way round. Um....I think your screen writer needs some re-education. Clearly, barrels are supposed to be beside one another, not stacked on top. 😉
Finally some affordable shotguns.
Also available as trios and quads if you are feeling flush
🤔😂
"and that is plus VAT" 😂
Nice shirt. When did your mum buy it for you?
🤣👌
The recoil that your body took from that .500 nitro was amazing. That should have fixed your back problem. What amazing shooting range.
I’ve been there two times and it just keeps getting better and better ! One of the most idyllic and luxurious shooting ground.
The food and hospitality is incredible.
Highly recommend
👏 just a lovely place to be
Truly outstanding. I think the only thing that could make these videos better is if Jonny would start to refer to himself in third person

Great footage for us aspiring UK gun owners.
Absolutely amazing to see, and looks like the grounds could be a vacation for the entire family.

I had a gun fitting/lesson with Mr Bird a couple of days ago. I can't recommend it too highly! Brilliant place with superb attention to detail.
The man is a legend.
The best videos where JC and Ant have a battle of words as they try to out do each other
When are you two getting engaged!!
It's really nice to see you boys finally shooting decent guns! Keep up the awesome work lads x
finally in your league you mean?

Shooting a buffalo with incendiary beards would certainly cause a scene
The Raufoss Mk. 211 projectile would have great effectiveness against a Cape Buffalo.

A matched pair please - I'll explain to the wife later why I sold the house. That was a very enjoyable video.

Fabulous. One doesn't often see a shooter get the barrels hot on an H&H.
Really enjoyed this tour of H&H. Makes we want to shoot again.
Simply the best TGS. 👌
The .500 is truly a manly cartridge, but the .378 and .460 Weatherby kills on both ends... Brutal would be a vast understatement.
wow i love that side by side
Outstanding
Where did you get the lovely green shirt, with Pheasants?
Quite the experience, gentlemen. I truly envy you.
I thought the winner bought lunch? Or is it only when chips and gravy are on the menu.
Those must have been the Yorkshire rules
Great video once again chaps ..... and that shirt & tweed combo ...... what can I say !
So like your banter, even when you're at Holland and Holland. Brilliant, just brilliant!

Impressive place, do shooters have to use steel shot?
Not currently
What’s the rough cost for a day out like this at H&H?
About £200-£300
Those Holland & Holland Nitro Express rifles are manufactured in the UK, but no one in the UK is allowed to own one.
Not allowed on a s.1?
What are those hearing protection they are wearing? I would like to get some
Love the shirt, Jonny 👌 Ant was really hot on the competition shoot 👍
Where did you buy taht Pheasant Shirt looks nice
Christopher Bird is one of the best shooting instructors there is!

TGS Outdoors or hear hear
Nicely filmed Gents and wonderful guns.
What a place😍😍
Question: was use of the H&H guns for the clays pre organized for the video or can normal visitors use H&H O/U and or S/S's?
It was kindly offered as we were filming, however I’m sure they would be willing to oblige with prior arrangement

I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning
Too bad you didn't get a change at full charge 577.
Thank you, fantastic, amazing a wonderful video.
Brill video! Loving the loaded banter 😂
Magnificent film. One day I hope to be able to go there
Wow, that range..
Amazing cap, Nice work!!!
Great vid I’m from the us what would a day trip cost for that cause that’s a beautiful day
great vid !! Had a laugh !
Do you think I'd be welcome with my 3gun auto?
Awesome video as per usual 👍👍👍
Really good program
.500 H&H ....jeaulous as hell ....
They do a smashing Old Fashioned, Good old H&H
Here here, when are we going for another
I Like Holland and Holland Gun's
What’s the brand name of jonnys sunglasses.
WOW!
If you want more concussion then you need to find access to a .50 Barrett, that thing makes your fillings drop out.
If you look it up, its got less recorded recoil. Plus there are even bigger dangerous game rounds that put .50bmg in its place
@@JoeWalker98 I said nothing about recoil.
Thanks for sharing!

Now for the 700 nitro 😉

you should try a .700 nitro when you fire one you cant help but be giddy
Holland and Holland! Don’t these make ATA’s as well?
Good video, have you done some other videos like that?
Lots
Seriously good

They are switches, and ants hearing is broken from years with CFG’s

One day… one day…
