    Hiatal hernia is very misdiagnosed. It can be the cause of 15 different symptoms including panic attacks, heart palpitations, acid reflux, bloating, chest pain and more.
    I've recently discovered that its presence can be mentioned on an endoscopy report but your doctor fails to mention it. They don't tell you about it because they erroneously think it's not causing any symptoms. They also fail to mention it because they have no drug nor surgical solution that works.
    Don't continue to suffer with this. Give a listen to learn more.

    Amazing. I suffer with anxiety and panic attacks. It all started after I got bad acid reflux and gut problems. I was always convinced something in my stomach was causing me to have panic attacks. I'd feel a knot under my breastbone and a hot flush right up to my head then I'd have a panic attack. Thank you for this it explains alot

    I am so thankful I found you. Such a blessing. I suffer from panic attacks and anxiety. It’s been under control for years. All of a sudden last month I started having breathing issues. Feeling short of breathe and chest pressure. I wouldn’t even walk up the steps because it was so bad and hurt. Now it all makes sense. When I eat or drink anything I can hear a gurgle in my chest almost like it’s growling like my stomach when I’m hungry. Constantly bloated and I’ve lost weight. I keep increasing my meds and it’s still happening. I truly believe it gerd. I have been taking ppi for a few days now and the chest pressure isn’t nearly as bad as it was. I was even able to take a 2 mile walk/ jog with my toddler today. Thank goodness for you.

      Well see now sometimes i think thats what it is after seeing this video the other day but wow i just am really very baffled here. Im for the most part and have always been pretty good at guessing after research a hypothetical diagnosis on myself and i have had a lot of strange and painful, uncomfortable, annoying, and or even pretty serious different things ive been diagnosed with. But this has changes in it every day or every episode and when i really think about just the feeling several times today and yesterday, idk it kind of sounds like it couldnt be this hiatal hernia. Today the pain was stronger than ever and the pain part is this veery sharp kind of tearing/pressure like the tendon that runs down the front of my armpit is going to burst any second and along with the feeling my heart is gonna burst too. And omg the pulling me down feeling from my breasts is so aweful and scary and sorry but fucking weird and now i have this red splotchy rash all around my left breast that is sometimes a lil warm to the touch and very much stings if barely touched. The doctors cant seem to figure it out. I cant wear a bra at all all the sudden and i cant stand that. Even if im wearing a sports bra that is a lil too big so not sqeezing me, it dont damn matter, it will cause this aweful feeling to begin.

      Yes. I thought I was having a heart attack. Even went to the ER. ECG said my heart was fine. Doctor put me on anxiety meds for 2 weeks (Urbanol), and prohibited me from consuming anything that contains caffeine. That really helped. Didn't experience it again for almost 14 months until a day ago....I can pin-point it to stress, high caffeine, intake, wine, not getting enough sleep and fast food - which elevated my heartburn and caused the onset of my panic attack again. I will be taking 2 teaspoons of Apple cider vinegar in a glass of water for a few days, on an empty stomach, which does help (brush your teeth thereafter, because it's very harsh on your teeth).

I landed up already 4 times attge emergency due to panic attacks because I thought I am getting a heart attack. I’ve had GERD for 10 years, but suddenly started having shortness of breath with it. My recent endoscopy showed no hernia but a structure at the base of throat. The pressure on the diaphragm makes it so hard to breathe or expand my lungs. I thought it was a lung issue but everything came back clear. Very frustrating and caused multiple panic attacks for me. I've been dealing with acid reflux now since last November and had been on/off various drugs for it. I had an endoscopy back in January of this year and they found nothing, so i slowly started to go off of Prilosec. I went to an ENT last week and he said i had some mild irritation in my throat and prescribed me with more PPi's which have actually made my anxiety worse due to side effects. I've been to a total of about 9-10 different doctors who all say my issues are anxiety related. I'd love any help or advice you could provide as this is horrible to live with.

      @Stella Hondros yes, I found that I never really had acid reflux but a pinched nerve in my back from being tense was causing it. A chiropractor helped me determine that. I will still get it if I lift something too heavy and pinch it, but I can control it now. Haven't been on any acid drugs for a couple years now. Apparently there is a common spot in our spines that triggers the reflux type sensations. Also issues with the vagus nerve can cause it. I'm usually tense in my core and that irritates the vagus nerve. Look it up and see.

    Thank u doctor, i have this for 2 weeks , panic attacks twice a day, i was given nexium for acid but i think it affects my kidneys- also, i have a colonscopy for tomorrow. I suspect hiatal hernia or something due to the esophagus. I had all analyses made - heart, lungs , thyroid- all is good. I have chest pain, cant swallow properly, heart palpitations and eventually panick attacks for 2 hours straight. It s scary !!

    I ended up in the emergency room the other day, due to an attack of some kind. IT reminded me of when my blood pressure was 224/173. I was in my early 30s. I couldn't settle down while at work. my potassium and magnesium levels were low, to where i wanted out of my body. I thought i was going to die! my blood pressure is a little high, but it spikes on top of it. magnesium and potassium being low, seems to be main cause. low electrolytes seems to almost kill me! 🤔😩

    I had a very bad night of vomiting about a year ago. Since then my digestive issues went out of whack and I have been in n out of the doctors. I’ve had a colonoscopy, ct scan and endoscopy done and everything has come back fine. All the symptoms you mentioned is how I’ve been feeling. Anxious after eating. Feeling full and bloated. But also sharp pains in my body followed by slight dizziness for about a second or two. That’s when the panic sets in. I check my heart rate and it’s normal. I believe I have a hiatal hernia that could’ve been missed during my endoscopy. How can I get it rechecked? Can an X-ray show one?

    • @DrVikkiPetersen
      @DrVikkiPetersen  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      80% of hiatal hernias are sliding, so they can be missed during endoscopy. I think it's less about "catching it" when it's up and more about getting to the root cause underlying your symptoms and truly fixing it. I've been dealing with this problem for over 20 years,I think that it's caused esophageal dysmotility. the doctors act as if you can live on proton pump inhibitors! I just wish they knew how to do something besides practice.it seems like the last 10 years I've been waterboarded..
    the surgeon says the only thing operation is for is acid reflux? he also says the operation isn't very good for people that have a lot of gagging and throwing up? Isn't that what's causing my gagging and throwing up?yoga works good.

      I have a free e-book on my site: www.RootCauseMedical.com. I would love to say do "X" and that's all you need to do, but it's different for different individuals. Many doctors state that all you have to do is a single thing but I don't find that to be the case. I know that's what everyone wants to hear and I don't blame them, but it's just not true in my opinion. We see hundreds of patients with this problem and it's occurring for different reasons. I'm sorry I can't give you the answer you want, but I have to be honest.

    How about a way to just completely remove Hiatal hernia why is everyone just treating symptoms and don't have a permanent cure for HH.Btw from it I have 4 to 8 timers a day panic attacks and Anxiety attacks that led to so much stress to my immune system that it turned in to a Cancer. I got Chemotherapy and radiation for it and all the goodies that goes along with it. That helped me learn why Chemo and Radiation is no good for you since after it I got diabetes and heart attacks died couple of times but was revived I hate when they manage because that mean I will have to deal with HH again. Before all this I had gruesome bike accident broken so many bones I got shot in the leg I had couple of surgeries where I was awake and felt everything. But all that fades away compared to HH I just cant live with it I wanna die. Doc want to do a bypass surgery to extend my life I'm like fuck no. It is discussing operation and I'm not afraid of it actually I'm curious and would like to see how its like but that will prolong my HH experience and I don't want that id rather DIE. So I am waiting for another heart attack and this time im a try pretend like nothing is going on so my family do not rush me in to hospital like before im done with his Death is only true cure from HH. Surgery last for a while I been on one but it ruptured again after 7 months I went in again has second that one lasted for a year. Ruptured again asked for another surgery but my surgeon told me no. you are 28 and if this continues its just to much surgeries . Im so not doing it. Plus guy did told me surgery is just temporary solution and he was right. Only true solution is to DIE if you wanna really permanently get rid of HH and I cant wait for it to bad im not suicidal or I would take my gun and shoot me in the head right now.
